The lady with the blonde hair is great. I'll edit this review when I get her name. She is always super friendly and recognizes me when I come in. Scarlet, the dog trainer, is amazing. I haven't even started her dog training classes yet, but she already has been so much help to me! That is phenomenal customer service, and I appreciate it very much.

I placed my order online which was great. But when I went to pick up my order is when I would say I had an issue. I walked in and there was a lady who I assume was some kind of manager. She was complaining about another employee and how she was tired of hearing her mouth. I walked in and stood at the register and got a hey. That’s it. And she continued to talk about the other employee. I finally just said while I stood there for a minute that I was picking up and online order. The female employee started to assist me a while this manager kept talking bad about the other employee. She kept talking through my entire transaction which was completely rude. And to bad mouth another employee in general is not good practice let alone while a customer is in the store right in front of you.

I usually always go to portage location because it’s convenient but the groomer Stephanie just seem to have issues with my little shih tzu puppy that is barely 7 months old so I had to take him to highland because portage refuse to groom my pup, Brittany in highland did very well and had no issues with grooming my puppy so this will definitely be his new spot, while walking around the store it was very clean and organized had so many options for dogs especially for Halloween, staff was very friendly! Thank you highland for getting us in today after Portage canceled my appointment last minute for their personal cause!

I usually go to this location for grooming Becca is great my dog loves her. However, the customer service on the floor is not that great I have had several unpleasant encounters with the staff that walks around who are supposed to be “helpful”. Don’t want to actually say what I feel but I noticed certain staff treat certain people different. I was there today 2 days before Christmas and when I asked for help the 2 people that I asked for help did not want to help ! I think it’s sad because we should never judge but this is the world we live in. I ended up leaving with nothing just because I felt uncomfortable there! Hopefully the new year will bring happiness and cheer to the staff that judges a book by its cover . But I will continue to go to Becca for grooming services!

I went into Petco to buy some things for my new Puppy. I went to the counter and a lady by the name of Carlean was very helpful and patient with me.I really appreciate all her help. She is really a big asset to Petco.

Returns an item via mail just to be told my refund is denied? Huh? From what? There’s a 30 day return policy which I followed and now is being broke be warned petco does NOT respect or use their own policies.Horrible customer service and I hope all petco go out of business.Lord know that horrible things that companies done to its live animals but that’s a different issue.

Best PETCO in NWI by far. Staff is welcoming and helpful. The management is extremely structured and attentive - went above and beyond for all of my needs (which is rare in retail). Always a pleasant experience here 10/10 recommend!!!

I’ve read some of these reviews and I have nothing but good things to say about them. I’ve been recently been shopping there again after finding a stray kitten they have a large selection of kitten foods. I have called all around for a kitten package deal for exam, shots etc… which can be expensive. I found out that their Vet clinic does a kitten package for $200 for all your kittens vaccinations and tests and microchipped for their first 6 months. Which is a great deal I have looked all for a deal like this🐈‍⬛❤️ and the Vet and their assistant's are GREAT 👍 I would highly recommended PETCO! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Since getting my new puppy I’ve frequented a few pet stores. Petco just seems to have a better variety of dog items. I also researched the vet options. Petco was cheaper and the service was still informative and they treated my puppy great. Will def return to try to the grooming services after his last shots.

Always have the fish gravel I need, even though I don't use it for a fish tank. I have a glow in the dark fairy garden. Way cooler than a tank huh

The store was busy-I only saw 2 cashiers and a couple groomers working and the line was long. Christopher treated each customer like they were the only one he had. Didn't rush anyone, never looked flustered, though he was probably stressed. I couldn't find the dog recovery cones and asked him for help. He could've just told me where they were, but he walked me over to them. Unfortunately, the only XL one had no tag on it. When I got back in line and told him, he told me he would help and walked over with his hand scanner to scan the price in the aisle. He even asked me what happened to me dog and wished him well. Christopher made a stressful experience so much better!

The groomers used to take their time wth my larger breed dogs. Now, it seems that the younger, less experienced groomers that work here now rush through the dog cuts. I am truly disgusted with the way my goldendoodle turned out. If you are not gonna cut my dog the way I'd like, then at least give him an even cut. From his paws to his ears, there are uneven strands of fur that were missed. Never again will my dogs be brought to this location.

Really good...didn't see pro biotics for dogs though...asked a worker...found out they are under lock and key because so many people steal it...azzhats...good job petco...don't let em steal...nice to see stores trying to stop the thefts

(Highland, IN Petco)Dirty, unstocked, dead betta fish galore, staff unpacking boxes of merchandise, then kicking boxes down aisle knocking other merchandise. No smiles, truly an unhappy environment. Not someplace I'll come back to. What happened Petco? Terrible experience today. Just terrible. 😒

"Do you want to pay $0.10 for a plastic bag?".No I would like you to give me a bag for the six items I just purchased so I don't have to juggle them out the front door

I got my puppy Maxx when he was 8 weeks. I’ve never had a dog before and I was very nervous about owning one. Maxx trained with Scarlet for both puppy training 1 & 2 @ Petco. Scarlet was so understanding and patient with maxx during puppy 1 we had to sign up him up for puppy 2. He learned so much from sit to stand to lay down, he even knew when to come when I’d call his name. If you are in need of some help with puppy following commands I would highly recommend going to Petco!

Horrible. Bad rude staff. Staff is not polite. Staff is not in sight. Staff mad when asked if they could help. Everything is 3 times more expensive than other pet stores. 30 bucks for 2 pounds of bird seed. Like, wow. Can get the same thing at other places for 10 bucks. Have stopped going here. Shopped here since early 2000, lately the staff is so bad and the store is so dirty I won't even go here anymore. I drive 45 min away for better service and better everything. The quality of service has dropped so much at this location. Who owns this place? Do you know how awful your Staff is? Go find the tapes and watch your own security footage. You can see them being rude and not on the floor. Take pride in your business because your workers do not.

We took our 5 month old corgi puppy Fitz here for his first obedience class. Our trainer was Scarlet (sp?) and she was great with him. He has some weird issues where he’s intimidated by new things and she took the extra time to find props like beds that he was actually ok with. She made sure he knew all of the exercises but beyond that, she seemed to really enjoy getting to know our pup. We happened to be in the store with both of our corgis a few weeks after our session had finished and she was genuinely happy to see Fitz (and he was so excited to see her again) and meet our other dog Luna.All around, super happy with the experience. We signed up for training at a different place before we’d started at petco and now that we’re going through it there, I’m just waiting for it to end so we can go back to petco.

This person was clean organized and had many of products I give to my cats and dogs that I haven't been able to find at other locations. This freshpet dog food is great my older pup is getting to the point where its hard for him to eat hard food or even get his appetite going it has been a life saver on keeping him eating and healthy.

First time my pup has been to a groomer other than bathes at home, he was well washed, and even knowing he has issues of getting his front nails cut they worked as a team and got them cut for me this is a huge achievement because even the vets office wasn't able to do it ( not that he bit or anything just that he is a bit stubborn about it) I will definitely be taking him back here along with my other two dogs.

Racist staff that would not sell my cousin and I a fish. Attitude was HORRIBLE from the moment we walked in. Staff actually went and got the manager who told my cousin she wouldn’t sell her the fish because she didn’t have a heater not knowing if that was actually the case.
