Beyond impressed with my first experience with a groomer for Rufus! They were so sweet, caring, and did an amazing job! Rufus is the softest he’s been since we got him and he smells and looks amazing!They were so pleased with how behaved he was and did not believe he was only 6 months old! Plus they gave me some kudos because he had no knots even in the most common hidden areas and his ears and teeth were so clean!I will definitely be returning for future groomings which I already scheduled! 😍

How do I start to share my experience with The Dog House. They treated my fur children the way they should be treated. Pampered. I have three dogs and went out of town for two days, I have never left them. At my request, I received pics each day. I had one bathed, two groomed and all nails trimmed. I have a Golden Retriever of 10 months, I''ve had him groomed twice but never has he come out looking like this, below is a before and after. Absolutely gorgeous, clean and nails were perfect. My old lady long hair dachshund was beautiful, paw pads groomed to perfection. My short haired mix breed had nails done better than the vet. They are home now and I'm so glad because I missed them but I would never be nervous about leaving my fur babies here again.Update: Ok, so I'm really updating because I want to share his one year old pics that they took for me after his groom. Look at that handsome guy!!! Took him in for a groom today, dropped him off and got a text when he was done. He was sooo happy to be there, his tail was wagging so hard it was lethal :) They do such great work there. His nails are perfect, his tail is feathery. I couldn't ask for better!!! Thanks again folks!

TERRIBLE. Not only did they severely injure my dogs eye but also lied about my dog having ring worm? We have taken our dogs here for years. When we pick up our dog most recently we are told she has ring worm and noticed she is blinking in one eye with swelling. We rushed our dog to the vet and she had DRY SKIN from allergies. We are still trying to figure out what they did to her eye but she can not open it or see and they refuse to do anything about it. I wish I could rate this place lower.EDIT: I’ll edit this since it seems it won’t let me reply to her. First her eyes were fine before she went in and we have picture proof of that. The groomer also didn’t even attach a photo of the dogs eyes after the cut. Also the groomer specifically said our dog had ring worm. Which was dry skin from allergies. This caused an emergency vet bill. Seems also like she is more okay with replying to a google review than giving me a phone call she has been dodging. Save your money and go somewhere that won’t cost you an emergency vet visit. End of story.

I took my doggie here for the first time the other day and it was amazing! Everyone at the place was so nice and welcoming! Katie cut meatball so perfect! Meatball and I both love his hair cut!! Thank you ( his before and after pictures:)

I took both my rescues there Aug 23,2022. They were absolutely wonderful to work with and got us in and out in a timely fashion. So yes I recommend anyone to beautiful Resort.

We just adopted our 5yo golden who had not been groomed in a looooong time. The Dog House Resort And SPaw did an amazing job cleaning him up. And he smells so good after his bath!

I trust this place to watch my dog every time! He loves going and staying and has so much fun. They are always responsive, always answer the phone, and deal with my crazy dog mom-ness in the nicest way. They post updates on Facebook if there’s ever bad weather while you’re away. I’ll board my dog here every time!

wanted to give 1 star, but I'm giving two only because the new manager that just took over last week was very transparent with me and I commended her for that. Poor lady had her hands full with this place. My 5 year old healthy and fully vaccinated dog was boarded here between June 30th and July 10th. I thought I would give this place a try, but was hesitant because it is not affiliated with a vet office. Upon check in on the 30th, two young staff members reassured me that I would receive a daily report and a daily picture of my dog. My dog stayed there ten nights and I only received two of the 10 promised and only at the beginning of her stay. I wish a suite had been available so I could have had 24 hr live video stream to watch my poor dog there. After a few days not receiving any communication from this place, I tried calling them to check on my dog; no answer. I called several times at various times their website says they are open and I could never get anyone to answer the phone. I was very worried and I had this gut feeling that something was wrong. We had not had a report or picture in around 7 days and all I got was radio silence. I decided to have my husband do a surprise pick up Monday July 10th see what was going on. They weren't expecting to see us until the evening pick up time. Our dogs front was covered in goopy picking brown stuff. My husband said some of it was dried into her fur and he couldn't tell what it was. Then, she started hacking and coughing. The girl checking our dog out said, " Oh, she's just choking," but my husband knew better. He was exhausted from our trip and needing to take the dog home and rush to work, so he refrained all opinions. He was very glad I wasn't with him, I would have came unglued. He dropped the dog off at home and left for work. When I got home, I had bloody phlegm in puddles all over our house. She was coughing and making herself gag and vomit. At this point, I knew she had Kennel Cough, but guess what? I couldn't get her into see our vet until Thursday and here it was only Monday. If I had received communication about my dog or if they had just answered their darn phone, I would have made an appointment immediately, resulting in quicker meds for my sick dog. I was furious! The vet said our dog had a very severe case of Kennel Cough that was turning into Pneumonia. I finally got ahold of the new manager that was on her first day( seriously bless her heart), and she told me that the staff members stated my dog had just started coughing the day we picked her up OR the night before and that there had been one dog there that had shown signs of Kennel Cough and they had a feeling more dogs would show symptoms. That's fine, it happens, vaccinated or not. However, I have a feeling to cover their rears, they told the manager it just started. My dogs blanket was disgusting and they told my husband they had washed it. It had the same bloody phlegm stains and vomit all over it. The manager sincerely apologized that this had happened and she said she knows sorry doesn't make it better, but she is sincerely sorry. I hesitated to write this review because of HER honesty and transparency. It absolutely was not her fault this happened. However, the staff members at this facility need additional training and to realize these are people's family members they are caring for or they need to be let go! $123 later my dog is finally on the mend,but I will never board here again. Some communication about my dog would have appreciated and deserved. Edit: wrote those months ago and it would not post

I've never boarded a fur baby before so I was nervous.. the staff at the Dog House are excellent and the live webcam so I could watch my baby really made me feel much more comfortable with leaving her! She was happy and healthy when I picked her up after spending three days at the Dog House. I will be using them again when I have to go out of town and am going to start using their grooming services as well! I highly recommend this business!

Great place taking care of my dog 4 nights a week for a month now. Had a few concerns in the beginning getting adjusted, never used a bording house before. My dog is my kid, Makenzie is the Manager there. She has taken care of everything making my dog and I feel welcome. She is very nice and polite and listens thats goes a long way with me, willing to go the extra steps needed to keep that place running smoothly and customers and pets like my self happy. Thanks Again 😊 Doing a Great job. 👍

The Dog House Resort and Spaw are very professional from the time you pull up in your car. They always greet us with smiles on their faces and take care of our fur babies beyond our imagination. We recently added the grooming service before we picked them up and the staff went above and beyond on their grooming services. We love this place! Very clean, professional, and great value for your money!

I don't usually post reviews but with the amazing experience I had here I just had to. My dog is the WORST when it comes to getting his nails trimmed. Many groomers have turned him down because he freaks out once he sees the clippers. I thought my only solution would be to get him sedated at a vet but a friend recommended Angie here so I gave her a chance. She got done in literally 2 minutes what other groomers couldn't get done in months! She was so quick and so gentle with him, I couldn't believe it! So if you are having similar issues, Angie here is the person to go to!

It's like a breath of fresh air picking up your pup and seeing so much detail in grooming! I swear even the dogs knew they looked awesome :) With a fairly uncommon breed, Jody made both my kiddos look their very best! Our girl is now being shown and quickly earned her championship. I am certain it is because of the expertise and attention to every detail received at Forestview Kennels. Thank you to the entire staff.

Bree has been going to Forestview for grooming for 3 years now. Great facility..great people...expert groomers. I have had many dogs in my life and had been to many groomers, but this is the first time i didn't have to tell the groomer how to groom my breed of dog properly. Forestview is a short country drive into Indiana and is worth it for me to cross the bridge from Louisville to get a professional cut/strip. Bree is groomed beautifully and consistently every time.

They did a really good job with my fur babies. The only issue I had was they didn't explain the sizes of the kennels very well. My babies were too big for the space they were in. Great job otherwise. Thank you.

The route you post for detour to get to this facility lists Forestry Road as route. This road is not currently passable by car. You need to use Pixley Knob Road as alternative route to get to Hwy 160 due to road closures on Hwy 160.

I haven't picked my dog up yet, but the facilities are impressive and the woman I spoke to--the manager--was very nice and seemed to be truly devoted to the animal's welfare. The prices are a little higher than other aces, but may be worth it.

Awesome handlers and great boarding facility with a great turnout. Our 3 Rhodesian Ridgebacks have stayed at their facility many times and always come back in great shape. Very clean and extremely knowledgeable.
