I cannot say enough good things about this place, their meat is exceptional! And if you’re wondering whether or not they have it, let me just tell you they do. One of the best things you can do for yourself if you love good beef is to go up there on a Saturday morning when they’re pulling the briskets off fresh. You can buy it by the pound go ahead and get a little extra that way you can eat it on the way home. It is just beefy goodness! They also do butts, and ribs we’ve eaten a little ribs they’re tasty, but never had the butt. They’re fresh meats go from one into the store to the other, from deli, Beef, pork, lunchmeat whatever. They also have a lot of stuff that’s frozen and ready to go. Don’t miss out on the isles in the middle, tons of great spices pickles, even a beer section if you need. But well worth the trip to Dewigs. You can also go to Facebook and follow them, they always post their specials.

Very nice! Worth the stop. Great selection. Located in the Busch Light Capital of Haubstadt! I am fond of their bacon. Quite a few sausage options to try. Everyone in the store was super friendly and helpful. Sign up for their newsletter to get a jump on the latest deals. Fair prices.

I ordered 10 pounds pork belly with skin. My instruction was very clear I want with little fat… What do you think about this? Well, this will go to trash bin. Even dog will not eat this! I only paid for fats. Simple instruction can not follow.

We purchased a half cow about a year and a half ago. And we are just now running out which is awesome BUT.. I am not impressed with how it was processed. We got mostly ground beef and I swear we are finding bone in every package. It's not hard pieces of fat it's literally bone in every package. We got roasts and steaks and they were not cleaned up at all they were packaged with all the fat slime left over from being cut with a meat saw. I understand not all the cuts will be perfect but I was expecting them to be cleaned up to were I wasn't washing off all the nasty fat sludge from a meat saw. Everything I've gotten so far has been pretty disappointing especially when ypu spend $1400 and get things that look like it was rushed and didn't care what it looked like. I don't think I will be returning to this location.

Several months ago I ordered half a hog. The chops were ok, the pork steaks were great, but I've thrown away six packs of bacon, a pack jowl bacon, and a shank. They all said smoked on the package, but not only did it seem to lack smoke, it also seemed to have a slight freezer taste (I ordered smoked). I thought I got it freshly slaughtered, but I'm not sure what happened with this order. My one ham was also good. I've got one ham left from all that we have ate and thrown away because of taste. Hopefully, there won't be any problems with my last ham. I would NOT make this purchase again. I haven't tried anything fresh from behind the counter yet, so maybe there is hope left to get some good smoked bacon.

Never had a bad purchase from Dewigs. A few days ago we had a minor inconvenience with a purchase. We called and they told us to bring the remainder back and they would make it right. They did just that and we greatly appreciate it! Excellent customer service!!!

Pappa Bears catering absolutely killed it at our wedding. The food was amazing we had everything from brisket, pork belly bites, down to all the sides they have available. All our guests left with full belly’s. They also provided our guest with a loaded nacho table for the cocktail hour and it was a huge hit. Thanks again for everything guys.

Pretty good selection, bit expensive on some things but good deals on others. Pretty good smoked cheese and meats selection, alot more pork than beef it seemed. I purchased the pork steak, smoked bone in pork chops and the beef roast. I later grilled the beef roast with a little salt due to it being higher quality, more tender and decent marbling and it was like a giant steak, absolutely delicious. The porkchops and pork steaks were also really good, great flavor to both of them without any seasoning either.

This store was compact enough to feel intimate, yet bigger than it looks on the outside. The selections were plentiful, the staff was helpful and the temperature was cool enough to make all the fresh products seem even fresher. All in all, a place that truly deserves more business!!!

I can't say enough good things about this place. I'd never bought freezer beef before, so I was kind of lost. They were all so nice and walked us through choosing how we wanted our 1/4 butchered. I've got to say how much better all the cuts taste than the beef from the supermarket. The steaks are the best I have ever grilled. We are going back today to get another 1/4 and try out their selection of fish.

This place is AMAZING! Love supporting local too! Awesome selection and the staff was so friendly and helpful! I was not only impressed with the quality of the meat but the customer service was the absolute best I've seen in a long time! The place was so packed and line out the door due to the pandemic that is going on now. Not one employee seemed stressed out or overwhelmed with the crowds and how busy it was. I stood back and watched everyone as they waited on customers and the staff was so kind and helpful to everyone they served! Please shop local!!

Has been a fabulous family business for decades. Unfortunately some the younger generation taking over don’t share the same customer service ideals or the same work ethic. Be mindful phones are shut off 15 minutes before the close of business and lights off doors locked 2 minutes before close of business. The closer to 5 pm you get, the worse the attitudes get. Plan accordingly for a weekend visit if you have a Monday through Friday job.

If you want really GOOD fresh meat, this is the go to place. I have never gotten anything here that wasn't well worth the trip there and the price paid. The workers are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Best hams anywhere!

Fridays have hot meat you can take home. We ate some of the ribs when we got home and it was sooo good. All of their products have great quality and it's a great place to get all your meat and anything else they sell there.
