I’m just posting this for others to know! If any of you have animals that are NOT spayed you might as well give up! They ALL have to be spayed/neutered! I tried to adopt a female kitten that is currently at pet smart and ready to have an amazing home! But they said I wouldn’t be able to adopt her because my FEMALE kitten has yet to be spayed! That is so frustrating we just wanted to give the poor kitten a good home but couldn’t because of these awful conditions/rules. They never think about the animals.. And to include the kitten at pet smart is spayed, so why should it matter if my FEMALE KITTEN AT HOME isn’t!? And I am including a picture I have at home who is well kept up even spoiled rotten! Her name is pebbles!

Very happy with the whole adoption process. From our first inquiry, to signing our papers. All the staff were awesome. We have quite a long road ahead with this sweetheart but we are up for the challenge. Highly recommend adopting from Blackford County

Very frustrated that me and my wife drove in from Randolph County to look at kittens and when we get there they would not even let us in the building unless we had already had an approved application and scheduled time slot. I have no problem with filling out an application and them approving us before letting us adopt a cat but I thought it quite ridiculous and frustrating that we weren't allowed to even look and see what kittens they have and if we were even interested in one from here. I realize she stated it says that on their website but I don't usually research a places website before going to a business. I think it's sad that they would lose the opportunity for someone to adopt one of their animals that are willing to go through the approval process but didn't read every detail ahead of time on their website so we're turned away. I will not be back and will visit another shelter that is interested in finding a good home for one of their animals.

I filled out an application a week ago and nothing further has been done. When I reach out to them they are very short with me. I ended up finding another shelter that was able to help me adopt a cat.
