Located near the Hammond Marina, I stopped into this Walmart to pick up a few things when I had some time to kill. The store was very busy right before Christmas. I was looking for edible glitter for drinks that my daughter requested. Two helpful employees looked for this product with me, but we couldn’t find it. On the way out of the store, I saw an employee in a cute Christmas sweater standing there and I thought I’d give it one more shot with him. It turns out it was a friendly store manager named Jag. He helped me find the product I was looking for on an endcap….woo hoo! Thanks! I was happy with everything I bought, and the prices were good.I’d say that the flooring in this Walmart makes the whole place seem kind of cold and third worldly…. But I had a great experience on this visit!

Don't go there if want 1 thing. You have A LOT of employees standing around in little groups talking and at the so called self checkout why watch me when you can open a 10 items or less line? Going here makes you feel like you are working for them while they stand there just giggling at you while they get paid.I felt for the one younger brown skinned sister cause she was the only one that I saw running around EVERYWHERE ( cashiers customer service and the money center)!! And the guy in the line with only 2 things had to stand behind people with FULL baskets but they were for a baby so I felt his pain. And all this was in the morning so imagine going at night. Never will I ever!!

Two customer service reps went above and beyond to exchange an item for me that was a few weeks past the return date. I never had any problems with Walmart until this. I truly appreciate their professionalism, kindness, and understanding. Kudos to you two for a job well done and true customer service in action!

Store is mostly disorganized most of the time. Cashiers have acted like it was a burden to help find a price for an item on some occasions. Decided to start going to Meijer instead. Greeters are nice every time, and some staff are helpful.

So, I had this insane experience at Walmart where their security treated me like I was some kind of thief at the self-checkout. Seriously? I go there all the time, and this is what I get? I was just minding my own business, scanning and paying for my stuff, when out of nowhere, this security guy comes up accusing me of not scanning some items. Like, hello? Check my receipt, genius!I tried to explain and even showed my receipt, but nope, they wouldn’t listen. The whole thing turned into this big, embarrassing mess right there with everyone watching. Talk about being humiliated for no reason. It felt like they were just waiting to pounce on someone, and lucky me, I was the target that day.The staff was so rude and didn’t give a damn about what I had to say. There was zero professionalism, just straight-up accusations. It’s like you’re guilty until proven innocent with them. What’s the point of shopping there if you’re going to be treated like a criminal for doing absolutely nothing wrong?This whole mess seriously makes me question their security tactics. It’s like they’re more interested in catching so-called thieves than treating their customers with a bit of respect. It’s a joke. They need to get their act together and figure out a better way to handle these situations that doesn’t involve embarrassing their customers.Honestly, after this mess, I’m thinking twice about ever going back. Who needs to be treated like that? Walmart, you seriously need to check your security policies and maybe teach your staff some manners. This was just unacceptable.

Instead of extra people at night to stock shelves people blocking aisles during busy hours stocking. Makes very difficult and time consuming when elderly disabled on electric carts trying to get items or even just get through aisles.Our Wal Mart on Cabell in Hammond usually understaffed, shelves empty in many cases and just not good management.

Walmart at Cabela's is a well laid out and stocked super store with a very large parking lot. It's wheelchair accessible and has battery carts as well. Quality and prices of products are reasonable. Adequately staffed and they are very courteous and helpful.

I wouldn’t even give this place one star rating. It doesn’t even deserve that. From the whole place from management to employees. While I was shopping a Walmart employee made sexual comments at me and then tried to fight my husband when my husband asked him to stop running up on my husband with his fits up. After then the manager and cops made us leave without letting us file a complaint or even hear our side of things. We couldn’t even get a word in. After calling customer service and trying to file a complaint that way, the lady did not take anything I had to say serious and just kept responding with “uh huh” throughout the whole phone call. Walmart needs to make better choices on people they hire. Because it’s not the first incident that has happened there but will be the last. I would never buy from or shop at Walmart ever again. Just ridiculous.

Depends on what time you go will determine whether you get great customer service or not. Subway is a nice bonus after you get done shopping. One of my favorite things about coming here is that they ALWAYS have my favorite coffee creamer. That is always worth the trip here 😀

WALMART PHOTO CENTER…I went to take my passport photos here but I wasn’t expecting they’ll take me the picture facing everyone… it was really uncomfortable and the pictures came out blurry!Update: USPS didn’t approve the pictures since the picture was to far.

Incredibly disappointing. Absolutely no shopping carts were available at 8:30 am on 5/31/21. I stepped in and asked for a cart and was told to go outside and get one for myself. Update, 4/9/22 most isles are full of carts with clothes on them. Shelves a disaster.

Today I took my daughter to Walmart to shop. Once that was completed she went over to get the baby his formula. Because it is behind lock and key you have to push a button for help, we waited for 30 minutes for a manager to show up with a key. Prior to that they did 3 overhead pages. One employee, Erica, went above and beyond to find the manager. Once he arrived he had an attitude asking if we pushed the button?Like 20 times and 3 overhead pages! The bright light was Erica, thank you for going above and beyond.

They put important hygiene products locked behind glass, then 2 hours before closing has no one in the store available to open them and tells customers to "come back tomorrow". Don't lock up necessities or merchandise in general if you're not going to have people avaliable to actually sell it.

My local Walmart doesn't keep stock of Ole Roy pouches. I stopped in after my son's football game and they had PLENTY. My girls LUV them. This Walmart also has a great selection of dog sweaters at a great price. Downside, I was hoping to exchange a harness that was to big for my chihuahua but they didn't carry the same style. I'll be returning 🐕🐕

This is the most ghetto walmart I have patronized. Do not Ever do business with their Auto care department. They do not honor appointments and the manager & staff is ghetto as hell. They will give you a complete runaround without a care in the world. If you live in the northwest Indiana area, take the extra drive and go to the portage location.

The employees there, really don't care what they give out to the people. Some of them are rude and inconsiderate. When I went to pick up groceries, waited over an hour and hardly no one was coming out. When I went inside to see what was going on. The bags of food were every where. Nothing was organized.

Shelves were empty, lines were long, and not enough registers opened. I can’t believe Walmart only had HALF of the (((SELF))) check-out open when the lines were longer then they could handle.I gave them there stars because the employees were nice and helpful but a lot of things and price tags were out of place.

The frozen aisle is a complete disaster and everything is scattered. It is extremely difficult to find my usual go to products. I've been to the Walmart in portage Indiana and their frozen aisle section is very clean. Someone needs to get in these freezers and organize everything. This is very frustrating. Nothing is where it belongs. This has been going on for atleast 3 months. This aisle used to be very well organized and clean.

Gotta love walmart. This was a really good one. They were so busy stocking shelves, but still took time to help me. I highly recommend you do not go shopping hungry. I did.😀 Went in a second time a month later. Didnt realize i been here before. This time brought my side kick Milo the Frenchie. Great selection in pet department and he lives the chicken jerky and his chew toy. I also got him a reflective harness for shippers and receivers. Good job Walmart. Thank you.

I love Walmart but what I didn't like is they never have enough wheel chair scooters available so that's a downer, and they should have a lot of them, at both entrances and you can almost never get things installed quickly like tires or batteries in mechanical area. But every thing else was good.

Needed a microwave and the aisle where the microwaves are needs to be more organized. You see a row models on display and then it's a guessing game on trying to find that particular exact microwave . You would think since they cut back on cashiers that they would have more employees available to assist customers around the store

This tire department refused to help due to too many installs. No compassion. No attempt to help or honor warranty…

Someone already parked in the spot the app asked me to park in for curbside pickup.I came into the Customer Service center and explained my situation the lady behind the register in a Louis Vuitton thermal cap. I asked “what can I do?” She stated “wait there until it becomes available”. I asked if that’s the only option. A gentlemen had just walked in and overheard. His name is Zachary. The lady said nothing and turned away. She continued speaking to her two other co-workers. The phone ringing without stop in the background. Zachary saw my frustration and then He asked for the mobile order information. He looked it up on his phone and went to cosmetics to retrieve it for me.The lady offered no CS and preferred to speak to her female coworkers than assist me.Zachary went above and beyond.Thank you Zachary.
