Normally a good shopping experience.. But in this case not so much.. If you're struggling for room in the frozen section just don't jam it in a space not big enough for it.. This is what happens to frozen pizza when you push on it hard enough to get it into a small place....

My favorite store in Hammond. Most things are reasonably inexpensive. Always very clean. Cashier are very quite. They are not very engaging and honestly most of them seem very bored. The butcher are really nice tho and always speak and willing to help find things

Nice Mall store to run and get a few things but they don't have a lot of name-brand product but the products that they do have are reasonably priced.you will probably not be able to get all of your grocery needs there but you can pick and choose and find a few things and save a few bucks.I personally know their baked goods and their desserts are very good.

I've been going there for years for my mother. I've grown tired of the same food selections. They rarely introduce any New items but if you're local and just need the basics like milk, butter, eggs, lunch meat, a frozen pizza, frozen fries etc., It's the place to go. Kyle is the boss, he's nice but can be a bit disinterested and doesn't seem to care too much about... Much lol but everyone else that works there is beyond friendly.

Easy to park. Store just remodeled looks great! Prices are good and they have a variety of items to purchase. Produce, meat, frozen all good quality here.

This store to me is more like a Stop & Shop store. The vegetable selection is not that great, but it does have the basics like lettuce and tomatoes. I like the savings on some of the food items. But I do not prefer shopping here because it does not have the variety that I like. This is a great place to come to however, if you are doing some small shopping.

Ok Ok.... I'm a huge fan of Save-A-Lot because its a Christian based grocery store. Well it is where I'm from down south. This one doesn't disappoint folks its clean, prices are great and YES all Staff had on MASK'S!! Thi only difference us you have to bag your own groceries but i know different regions do different things. Go shop here that log of ground chuck for $25.00 makes the BEST CHILI and 🍔 you'll ever taste.

Love the prices and most of the staff very friendly managers always say hi as you walk by .Thanks for staying in our area.Things are changing here and sorry its not for the good..everything is changing with the staff and itsnot for the good they are always on the phone when you walk up..Some say hi others dont guess its time to go to Aldi..

Love this grocery store it's an easy in-and-out kind of store. The prices are great and the options are many. They have a little bit of everything. You can find most everything here. The staff are kind andf generous. Typically remembering me from visits before. Very personable.

Love the improvements and remodel. Don't like paying for a cart. It's not Aldi. But I understand stupid people can't put carts back and I guess employees too busy to go retrieve them occasionally 🙄

they say hindsight is 20/20 but I truly wish I would have known what would have happened to me as I would not have even bothered. I was a model employee; adapted quickly, constantly came in for others even at an inconvenience to me, took on other tasks that were outside of my job description etc etc. As a cashier, if you are not one of their favorites you are constantly left on the register by yourself for hours on end while the others get to walk around the store or gossip in the office with the manager(s).The turning point was when a customer that not only verbally but physically assaulted me and I was fired even after reviewing video showing her being the aggressor. This is in addition to being mocked by management and exposed to the effects of the pandemic. Afterwards the managers whom I thought I had a rapport with could not even face me and the higher-ups in HR laughed in my face and told me that the security tape that had my assault on it was their property & i "better believe they are larger than life" which sounded like a threat . the Hammond location is by far the dirtiest place I've ever seen. The managers are too busy either on their phones or fraternizing with each other to actually do their jobs. The managers received bonuses and all we got was a letter taped to the time clock. The store manager is immature and incompetent . The assistant store manager is too busy running behind the meat manager to be useful. Not to mention there was favoritism amongst employees and I would like to believe race played a bit into that as well noticing who got the most/prioritized hours and who didn't. As well as I highly doubt the incident would have resulted in me being fired if I were a different color.All in all actually just don't waste your time the pay is extremely low & the favoritism and microaggressions you experience on the daily are just not worth it.

It is the only store open on Sunday in the Hessville area where you can get groceries . They have fresh cuts meats .they sell brand name and Save A Lot brands. They don't cost as much as some of your larger stores. They all so have fresh fruits and vegetables. If you want to run in and out this is the store for you.

I was exceptionally and pleasantly surprised with how nice this grocery store is. It is a very clean well lit place. It has a very minimalistic vibe also just can’t get over how much I like this grocery store didn’t expect that much.

This is my go to spot for all my groceries needs. Prices are fair and it's close to where I live so i don't have to drive across town. The employees are always helpful and polite.

The only reason I gave the 3 stars is because it was the first time there. I was in and out. Didn't go through the whole store. So 3 stars is very good since I only went through 2 isles. Nothing negative against Save A Lot❤
