The cashiers are very friendly and it's always neat and clean. I love the specials on Saturdays where you buy $25, and they take off $5 with coupon. You have to download the app. to get that special along with other coupons.I once spent $18 from a purchase of $30 that subtracted the coupons that made me a great savings. Wow!

I went to this location and saw that they had a sale on Pepsi products at the store for buy two get one free. When I put the item in the cart and went to pay for it the special didn’t show up. I got the manager who told me the Dole lemonade was not a Pepsi product until I showed her on the internet. She then told me that the coupon was on the website and I had to clip it. After a total of 30 minutes another worker looked and saw that the advertisement in the store was over a week old. No one offered an apology nor honored what was still on display. I wrote a email and received no reply. Never again.

The staff is always super friendly and helpful. However, the place itself is ALWAYS a mess. Always things in the middle of the aisles. It is a smaller store and maybe that's why but 🤷🏽‍♀️. Don't try to get your Gain double coupons here either because chances are they won't have it. It's the closest one to my house though so I go all the time.

There was a worker talking/laughing very loud in the front of the store that I could hear from 5 aisles over. She spoiled the movie Wakanda Forever and even said who died. I was hoping to see it on Disney Plus when I had a day off...

If I could give it less than 1 star I would. Hessville used to be a nice place to live with good people who realize it may not be a glamorous job, but that doesn't mean you take it out on the customer. Between the stocker talking on his headphones and the lack of assistance I received when trying to ask a question. This place had 0 customer service skills. On top of that they seemed mad and told me I could not use my coupons from the app. I guess it was just too much work for them. Why even make an app if all your employees are gonna say I can't use them? Never going back. Me my family and my friends will just drive the extra few miles to go to a place that has some professionalism

I have shopped at this location for over ten years and today I was treated like a would be theif I would usually purchase my items at register ask for my brand of cigarettes and cashiers would ask for I’D which has all my information and would pass them to me for some reason I was treated like a common thief as if you did not ask me for my ID with my all my information to think I would run out of the store I am almost 60 years of age and Use to be regular customer and would never patronize this store again do better

Every time I go in this store its dirty, theres a line and things are out of stock. I visited the store yesterday and they said they couldn't sell alcohol because they forgot to review their liquor license. Then they had signs up that said we are unable to sale beer or wine at this time. I asked the manager if they meant (sell) instead of sale and she stared at me blankly unaware of the difference. Wow, these are the people running your stores.

First time here at this location today to pick up some last minute Fathers Day stuff....store was dirty, anything barely stocked on the shelves, and when I went to check out a employee was behind the counter bad talking another employee to the cashier that was checking me out. It made me feel very uncomfortable. I will never return to this location.

Every time I visit this store the conditions seem to get worse. It always seems cluttered and dirty. It's a good place for quick and inexpensive household items, but you'd want to get out just as quickly.

I'm a regular customer of family dollar, I'm a mother of 5, I'm a wife and experienced customer service rep, I was in the store at 3434 169th st Hammond in, I had just gotten to the registar pulling my items out of the buggy when another employee named kris walked into me and my husband and asked were we planing to pay for all the items in the cart, as it seems some where not put on the counter yet because of the space, her energy said that she was implying that we were gonna take the items with out purchase, before we were even done ringing all the items in the cart, I asked for a supervisor her name is Michelle I spoke with her and she assured me that the employee kris meant any harm, that family dollar employees stick together and help each other, I was embarrassed and really disturbed by both of their actions, but expected more from a manager. I'm a regular at this location specifically because I'm a few blocks away. I don't feel the need to shop with this location anymore, I feel as tho the situation wasn't handled properly and was embarrassed to go through with my 127$ purchase. I felt minipulated and let down!!!

Not the cleanest or well organized store but its convenient and pretty well stocked so I give 4 stars in appreciation. BTW they do carry chafing fuel if anybody needs any in a pinch.

This place is ok, it's not the best family dollar that there is, but you can get what you need at a low price. It always seems to look dirty here which makes me not want to be in the store for very long. I do enjoy there prices and how they almost have everything I need.
