Tons of free fun family! The prices have gone up in the last few years, but everything has. Still a very fun experience!

The day I took my family here, there was NO waiting line to have pictures taken with the one and only, SANTA! He has a real beard! You take your own family pictures!!The cinnamon donuts are the BEST. Be sure to get your family some! At the time I went, a dozen donuts were $10. Absolutely worth it! They were so warm and delicious, sprinkled with cinnamon! Don't forget hot cocoa!!They have so many beautiful wreaths for sale and a variety of real Christmas trees to choose from! You can even see dancer and prancer! They have a few other animals as well. My family had a great experience here! There are so many photo ops! It's fun for all ages!!!

A new tradition started here last year with our grandchildren. Haven't had a real tree before that since our boys were little. The kids loved the animals and the tractor ride to pick our tree. I enjoy all the memories made ❤️

Yesterday was our first time at Hensler Christmas Tree farm. The farm is beautiful and the help was very polite and friendly. It's also nice that they pre-tag the trees in the field with size and cost . My issue is they seem to measure as close to the ground as you could absolutely get to the trunk to the very top of the often useless center tip ranging 8" to 14". The farm we used for three years pryor always seemed to give us at least 6" off the top when measuring. Also this is the first time we have had to pay for shaking and tying up the tree. Pricing per foot seemed to be in line with others. Sorry but we are going back to our usual source of trees.

Absolutely love Hensler's. They always have to most beautiful trees and we find the perfect one every year. We've been going there for over 20 years, as a family tradition, and have always enjoyed it. You can choose a pre-cut tree or jump on the tractor ride to go out and cut your own. They have lots of great attractions like Santa, reindeer and other animals, Christmas shops with lots of Christmas decor, wreaths and festive items. You can enjoy hot drinks, kettle corn, cookies and other treats. They even have a BBQ and donut vendor this year. Hensler's is absolutely beautiful and has a warm and friendly atmosphere that always gets our family in the Christmas spirit! If you have never been there, you should definitely put it on your Christmas to do list. You won't regret it!

The people that work there are so nice and friendly. Lots of little shops. And quite a large section of trees pre-cut and cut your own. I would definitely recommend a visit!

Great selection. Such friendly people and a great area for food selection. Wish there were more table but it's not terrible. Just be prepared.

What's wrong with the peacock. He looks abused and does not have claws. Depressing.... it scared our children.

I would have to agree with Rach from below. My family and I have been coming here for years.. Our Griswold tree cutting experience began here. This place holds many great memories. From the moment you drive in they send you into a winter wonderland... Santa Claus visitation, store, fresh cookies and hot cider. The ambiance is wonderful. On a sad note.. the trees are not the same quality they used to be. Now, they are miss shaped and dying from the inside out. The last year or so we spent a lot of time looking for a tree that was healthy. Due to the lack of good quality trees and the rise of prices - sadly, this year we will be trying somewhere else...

*Updates below. Be advised they seem to have very few taller (8ft+) scotch pines this year. A good number of 6ft or less ones though. This place is amazing!! Could not recommend it enough! We went last year (2019) after we went to a few farms in our area (Fort Wayne) and they all only had really small (nothing over 4ft-5ft) and thin looking christmas trees. We like around 8ft, really fat christmas trees!Hensler Nursery had multiple fields of BEAUTIFUL trees. They had multiple types, with most of them being Fraiser Firs or Scotch Pines, but they also had White Pines, Concolor Fir, and I think one or two more that I can't remember. The Fraiser Firs were a bit more expensive (they were priced individually), though that is to be expected, but the Scotch pine and White Pines were $35 (I believe they are going to be $40 this year) for any size (they had them up to like 10ft, maybe a bit larger), which is a steal! They also had a really cute area that sold a bunch of tree supplies, decorations, greenery (like wreaths), food, and more! They had many people around to help you out including a station were they will wrap up your tree for you.We plan on making it a tradition and will keep coming back for years to come!UPDATE: We did go back last year (2020), and even with COVID restrictions, it was just as magical! We had an amazing time and made some more beautiful memories! We absolutely will be going back in a couple weeks to get our tree for this year (2021). Their website says that they have brought the food vendors back this year, which will be really fun! You can find their prices on their website. Our favorite are the scotch pines, which as SO fat and round. We are so excited to go back and start off the christmas season! Thank you Hensler Nursery for bringing a beautiful new tradition to our family!UPDATE: We just went back today (11/26/21) and it was very fun, but I will mention that they are very limited on scotch pines over like 7ft. The field they had them in the past two years was cleared for new baby trees (though a small strip of like 4-5ft scotch pines were still there), so many of the larger trees were now gone (though it is understandable, they need to make way for future generations of trees). The back field of scotch pines did have a good number of trees, but most were still around 6ft or less. We did find one we liked around 8ft, but it was one of only a handful of taller trees (we would have taken one around 9ft if we could, but the the few 9ish ft ones were unshapely).I do worry about them having taller scotch pines for future years and will have to call next year before we make the 1 1/2hr drive. We still had an absolute blast though!! If they have more scotch pines, we will absolutely be back next year!!!

A great place to start a family tradition of cutting down your own Christmas tree. Always a good selection of trees, we prefer the Fraser firs. They provide sleds and sharp hand saws. Lots of photo opportunity's with the decor and wood cut outs around the property. Friendly staff!

I love the look of this place. The Christmas feel is sooo wonderful. Been going here for years, and I mean years. However, the passed few years the trees have been taking a huge dip in quality and the prices are higher. When picking out the tree, theres slim pickings. Trees and bare and very misshapen. You leave feeling like you have settled and not satisfied. I do give credit for ambience. I love how it puts you in the spirit. I love the place, but most likely wont be returning next year. 😔

Been going to Hensler's for the last several years for Christmas trees. They have the freshest trees of every shape and size. Wreaths last forever! Always enjoy visiting the live animals, too. Great experience every time 😀 👍 😊

Very nice here. Very big. They use tractors pulling carts around to get you all over the property to the different sections. Trees are a bit more pricey, but there's LOTS to choose from

I don’t know what the other 2 star comments are about, but in my experience in the last 6 years, we have found great trees every year! This has become a day long event that kicks off the holidays! Finding the perfect tree is the best part no matter how long it takes. We will be coming back this year and for many years to come!

Great place to visit and buy a Christmas tree. Prices are good but the food at the concession stand wasn't very good. And remember to bring cash, the gift shop, hot chocolate stand, and tree purchase will accept credit cards. The food stand and the popcorn stand only takes cash.

Great place to bring the family around Christmas time. Definitely an experience. Grab a cart and saw, then hit the trail. Cut down a huge tree and take a tractor back for some coffee and popcorn. It's tradition in our house!

This year's tree that we cut ourselves is dropping needles like it's 3 months old. It was one of the greener trees we found too. We've been going to Henslers for many years and we truly enjoy our time there with our family and now grandchildren but the trees are not as good. Could be due to dry weather but we're just not sure.
