Was invited here for lunch and a boat ride on the Friday before 4th of July weekend. We ordered a variety of appetizers and enjoyed all of them. Quite a few people got the flatbread. We also tried burgers, shrimp tacos, and fish tacos. One person said their mashed potatoes were amazing. You really need to try something with the bacon jam on it - it is phenomenal.The service was really great. She even offered to go downstairs to the bar to get a drink Someone I really wanted but was only offered downstairs. There are two levels to Howie’s. While there is a bar in the restaurant level upstairs I guess there’s more of a bar area in the basement. There’s also a tiki bar outside on the lower level. There are decks on both levels overlooking Hamilton lake. So it gets five stars for atmosphere because it’s a really beautiful view. I can imagine they would be extremely busy on the weekends during the summer.Because it is a lake it’s a very casual atmosphere and the service is slower than what you would expect in the city so Relax and enjoy it!!

Let's start with talking about that Howie's burger. I didn't know a burger can change my life. That bacon jam is EVERYTHING on that burger. The burger itself has sooo much flavor. Also had the brisket Flatbread which was really good. The brisket was tender and flavorful. The staff is wonderful and very attentive.

Celebrated Mother’s Day at Howies. Wow. Not only did mom get a free meal and $1 mimosa, but everyone was happy with their food! Generous portions, fresh ingredients, and perfect presentation. We will be back for sure. Loved every bite. Photos: brisket tacos (amazing), brisket bbq flatbread and balsamic fig flatbread. Not pictured: Howies burger with bacon jam, which was incredible.

Good food, wide variety of menu choices! Our server, Emily, was efficient and friendly. She gave excellent info about the new menu and we loved all the items we ordered. We had the make your own appetizer basket with tots,bacon jam, beer cheese and lots of toppings. Entree of blackened red snapper was amazing with tasty sides.

We had originally went to Lakers Landing to try it out. Sat there for almost 20 mins with NOBODY coming to even bring water, even after asking a waitress if we could order drinks & she said I’m not your waitress but I’ll find someone. So we came down to Howies & got service within 2 mins. Drinks were great, food was good, waitress was FANTASTIC. She had a great tattoo & gave us the name of the artist. She was on it like she could do it in her sleep. The other workers were helping each other out. More than one worker said have a nice night when we left. My hubby forgot his phone at the table & the bar tender ran it out to us in the parking lot! It’s pretty loud in there but overall great experience!

Visited on a Thursday, our waitress Kim was great. It was impressive to hear Kim talk so good about the owners with customers. She explained how much work had been done to transform the room and the dining experience and bragged how nice it is. We totally agree! We enjoyed the tots with beer cheese, bacon jam and chives. Also had the cod bite dinner that was very very good. There is music on Friday on the patio. If you haven’t been to Howie's on Hamilton you are missing out. Great Place!!

I have spent much of the summer in the area, bringing friends & family. Howies is the consistent late night, party spot with music every night (very often, live). Boating right up to the dock is super convenient. New owner has invested much into this community icon. Bartenders are attentive & fun (& make a great craft Manhattan). Dinner & bar food on the patio & tiki bar are a must! This is literally the epicenter of the party in downtown Hamilton and a necessity, breathing life that spreads through the town.

For my first time back after renovations, I brought my family to have a dine-in lunch. The staff was friendly, environment was clean and inviting, and the food was great for adults and kids. The indoor/outdoor option right on the water is a HUGE perk with a great view of the lake. It's obvious that the owner cares and is working hard to make it special. Highly recommended and will be back with or without family next time!

Love this place. The owner, Nate, is the most personable person I've met. He gets to know his guests which shows legendary service and a reason to go back. He also has live music every weekend which makes the dining experience enjoyable. The menu keeps evolving which, again, keeps people coming for the new items. Keep up the great job Howie's employees, you are not going unnoticed!

I had heard so much about this place with the new ownership and couldn’t wait to check it out, and WOW it did not disappoint. The positive energy was palpable. The place is very clean and family friendly, but also a great place for a guys or girls night out. The deck is a special place. Get drinks and food while looking out at the beautiful lake while meeting news friends. The service was great. The food was great. I highly recommend the tacos! The live music just put this place over the top. The new ownership really has something special going here. I can’t wait to go back!

Had our first meal at Howie’s and it totally exceeded our expectations! Our waitress, Kim was amazing and prompt. My husband had a burger with bacon and brisket. For a picky eater, he was seriously impressed. Their beer cheese has to be the best I’ve ever had!! Can’t wait to visit again!!

The atmosphere is nice and they have a big, beautiful deck. Our waitress was top notch and the band Friday Night was pretty good. The Loaded Tater Tots were delicious. The 3 reasons they lost a few stars from me are paper towels all over the restroom floor, employees in uniform drinking at the bar and 2 waitresses making out with each other when they should have been working. This is the kind of behavior I expect to see in Cancun or a college bar, not a neighborhood bar in small town, Indiana. I doubt I would go back.

The food and drinks are great! I highly recommend the Clark Kent specialty cocktail and the brisket tacos. And if you are lucky enough to have Kim as your server, it will make your visit even better! She is the best!

We stopped in for lunch on Sunday afternoon. Jenny took care of us and she was attentive and helpful! The pretzel appetizer was delicious and they had a great beer selection! Someone else in our party had a couple cocktails and loved them! We all enjoyed our food and my daughter said the chicken tenders were “the best she ever had!” We will definitely be back!

Went for the first time the other day. We weren't for sure if it was seat yourself or hostess seating. Especially in consideration for the restaurant part its located at the back of the level where as the bar is as you walk in. It wouldn't be as bad if there were signs outside in terms of accessibility bar entrance - restaurant (use handicap ramp) or something along those lines to direct the flow. We were surprised the glasses for drinks were relatively small which required more refills for the server. Limited menu but everyone found something. Brisket tacos were good but served with tortilla chips which we thought was peculiar. Pork tenderloin was delicious and fries were good. Chef salad was good as well. Beer cheese and pretzel was good too.

This is our second time here, delicious food. Friendly staff members. Kim waited on us tonight, and hands down one of the best. Her recommendation were spot on. Definitely will be back. If you have not been here, your are missing out.

I’ve been here many times and they never disappoint. The Catfish BLT is amazing!!!!! Our bartender Nate was great too!!! He tells really funny jokes and is very attentive too. Will come here more often.

The food was really good. Bartender was busy because they were busier than normal according to him. Which was fine. We weren't in a hurry. The problem we had was when some patrons showed up on a pontoon with their large dogs and brought them up to the patio where people were esting. They originally had them tied up on the boat but because they would bark went and got them and brought then to the patio with them. We were finished and were ready to leave anyway but it's just not a place for large dogs to be roaming.

Awesome place to stop for a good fried meal! My wife and I stopped there April 11, 2021 and had a great lunch, great atmosphere and the bar tender was the best part! Great conversation, good kid that was an excellent host. He deserves a raises! :-) Try the deep fried cheeseburger! It's awesome!

If you find yourself in Hamilton this place is a must! Stopped by for dinner and beers on tap on a Wednesday night. Right on the lake. Delicious wings and salad. Our server Kim was a delight! Loved the juke box!

I ate there on a Wednesday sat on the patio I had Kim for a waitress she was very friendly knowledgeable and I felt like she actually cared about my experience and never let my lemonade get empty. I had a burger it was very good but I couldn't finish the pounder.
