Its not prejiduce or racism to tell the truth. The truth is the store has been horribly lacking in quality in the last year. The prices are high which is to be expected in a small town grocery store. The quality and freshness of the products have been questionable at best. I quit going here in favor of better prices and quality in New Castle and at Dollar General. That being said it looks like theres work being done on the store as of late. Possibly a re-model? Not sure. Hopefully they are planning to rejuvenate the store because we need a good grocery store in this town. If this is the case i will give them another try. Hopefully in the future the quality and prices will give me a reason to leave a decent review but honestly, up to this point, bad reviews are well deserved.

Worked here on and off for 4 years. New ownership took over, promised a bunch of things, then ran the store into the ground. Petty much every cooler/freezer is down. They changed their hot foods from hand breaded to cheap out of bag stuff, and doubled the price. Rarely stop by there anymore, but every time I do I ask myself, how in the world is this place still open?

Weekend deli staff is rude. Never have issue with the weekday staff. Prices are ridiculously high except when it’s on sale, then it’s just expensive.I only shop here because it is on the way home from work. That’s it. It’s just convenient.I’ll detour to new castle Walmart before I want to shop here again. That’s 15 miles out of me way, but apparently worth it. And I suggest you guys do too.

This place was our go to place for Golden Griddle pancake syrup,since no one in northern Indiana wants to stock it anymore, we'd make the 2 1/2 hr drive,buy 9-10 bottles and be good for a yr. The store must of changed ownership, they were in the process of remodeling or something, totally disappointed. Amazon carries it for $7 a bottle, little steep since it was 2.69 in store.

Very nice little store. Very clean. Had everything I needed, plus more, even though a major snowstorm was coming. Cashier was very friendly and helpful. I thought the prices were rather high on everything, but I guess it's that way, everywhere. When I'm back in that area, I will most definitely shop there again

No longer a American store! Look at the fake reviews from people from other countries! Used to be a pretty good country grocery store. NOT anymore! It's a shame that everything is getting bought up by bigger corporations from overseas.

I think Bob the new owner has good intentions but lately meats have been lacking and produce is aged. Most of the canned goods and freezer goods are well stocked, but that is not why we shop here. We shop here for the meat and taters we can get canned goods anywhere. I will say if you need firewood, blunt wrappers or impulse buy candy they have it. Still want to give them the benefit of the doubt as they are remodeling and upgrading some things. Still would like to see a better selection of meats and produce. If you need firewood in this farm town I got some in my back yard for free. I hope they realize the true needs of a small town grocery store soon. On a side note everyone is pleasant and courteous I just think the owner needs time to learn his customer needs.

The store has been going downhill since the new owners have taken over. Most of the coolers/freezers are broken and seem to stay that way. You have to go to the deli to ask if they have anything that would normally be in the cooler.Shelves seem sparsely stocked as well.Hope they turn it around soon or it won’t last long.

I just wanted to say that today while I was working on the floor this morning I noticed a couple going through the store meat department area and I seen you go through the package meat reading the labels on every package and putting them back well now that I saw you I know who you are there's absolutely no reason for you to come into this store and go through products and slander the new owners the way I see it you are prejudice and that's pathetic for you not matter what breed you are nationally there's good and bad in everyone so you being an American does not mean you are better than anyone else the owners that have this store are very good people and they treat everyone with respect and happiness I'm getting tired of your negative Facebook posts so if you don't like this store and who owns the store then shop some place else because we don't need and have the time for negative people like you and I will always remember you being I have seen you in person and the next time I see you in the doing what you did I will say something to you and you can garentee that

Staff are all nice and helpful, staff alone would be 5 stars. This is definitely a small town grocery, so do not expect to compare it to anything in Richmond or New Castle. You pay more for most and especially brand name but you can find some super good deals if you know how to pay attention. They have awesome selection of meat, and their deli hot foods are good , and it's cool they have a soda fountain. Also only place that sells Lucky Strikes around if someone you know ever gets that hankering. If you are buying not so popular items be sure to check the expiration date, the manager is super nice and will exchange for a good item but if you live out a ways like us it can be aggravating when you get home and realize you got expired whatever.

We have a seasonal spot at kamp modoc so we shop here a lot. this is the closest grocery store to us. They always have what we need and then some. Cute little neighborhood store. The meat selection is awesome and very reasonable some other things are a little high but its understandable and i don't mind. I either drive 5 miles pay a little more or 20 miles waste gas and more time, rather drive the 5 lol

Very friendly as I have always been greeted upon entry to the store. My favorite part about this IGA is the fried chicken. The potato wedges are also quite delicious.

The store is on Highway 38, the main street through Hagerstown, Indiana. The store was clean, and the staff was friendly. The staff was trying to keep the shelves stock as best they could during this heavy buy time.

Nice store, some prices, like milk, were kind of expensive, $4, almost twice as in Indianapolis. I paid $2.29 a gallon at Meijer. I was told it was also $2.29 at Kroger.
