Easy to get here. Check in with guard shack, dropped our trailer in the huge lot and picked up a loaded. Plenty of room to maneuver and back into docks. Staff nice and helpful. Indoor restroom. Caution: individual axle scale onsite, but it is no where near accurate!!

Pretty good all around. Make sure you call ahead to see if your trailer is loaded. Often they wait until the last minute of the window to load the trailer. They will not let you park on site. There are like 3 or 4 spots you can park in the street leading up to the building. There is a pilot only a mile away, also a loves about 12 miles away. They are polite and professional.

Check in with guards. (Guards, very nice, patient & helpful)Park your trk.Go inside & they'll tell you what to do.Waiting on a text for a door.Go to your door. Disconnect trk from trl & pull out about 3 ft.Wait for another text telling you to pull out & go sign your bills.Stop at security to leave.Backing is easy. Plenty of space.

Place is ran by idiots. I told them my load was showing ready for me to pick up, but the gate guard as well as the shipping office said, "it's not ready yet, it's still being loaded". 5 hours later (at 9:30pm) they call saying, " we made a mistake, your load was done loading at 9 o'clock this morning, whoops lol". Ya, hilarious that you waisted 5 hours of my time and screwed up my drive time. What morons! Smithfield can pay me some detention pay for screwing me out of 5 hours of drive time!

Awesome staff at the check in building, very helpful and friendly. Easy quick drop and hook, plenty of space to maneuver with a very easy route in off i-70

I've been here twice picking up loads. The first time the office refused me service because they would not accept my highly visible ansi approved safety shirt as a suitable or even better replacement for a safety vest...My second pick up was supposed to be a drop and hook. I arrived the day before to try and drop my empty trailer clean with full of fuel at their location. Due to the fact that they already had a empty trailer they refused and told me to turn around and get my butt out of their facility and come back later. The drop and hook window was from 2000 to 8am.. I arrived back the next morning at 7:54 a.m. I would have picked it up earlier but I figured they couldn't screw it up because 8:00 a.m. is the cut-off time. So they just decided not to preload the trailer per our agreements and then it became a live load.. I was the only one at the time getting a live load.. try something new and do your jobs!

Washout receipt is a must. Streaking beacon 2 miles up the street at Love's. Easy in and out with room to back on a door.

If you drop and hook this place is fantastic. Been in and out many times. This time got stuck with live unload. 9 hours and counting.

Prime driver, if you are delivering on Saturday morning around 10 am, they won't give you an empty trailer. They let you stay for 2 hrs and call back at 7 pm when they start unloading. Keep calling until midnight, then the guard told me they had empty trl, but he called to someone and told him not to give the empty. Waste 15 hrs waiting for nothing.

Not a bad place except that every time pickup a loaded trailer we here it is left way too high and I have to crank it down to hook up. Plenty of room to manuever, clean restroom inside for drivers.

This place isn't bad. Plenty of room to move around and there are places to park if needed on the same street. Pull up to security, get checked in and your trailer verified. Make sure the reefer tank is full and they do check in the back of empty trailers. A hi viz vest is required to check in. The guard shack will give you a paper. You then go the the empty spots on the other side of the scale and park. Walk to the office and check in. They'll let you know what to do from there. You're either going to a door, or dropping an empty or loaded trailer. Hook up to your new trailer, hop on the scale, and then check out with security. The pilot down the road has been tore down and the lot is closed off.

Added to the list of places I don't want to come back to 2 and 1/2 hours in still sitting here waiting and that's after my appointment time.

If I could rate 0 stars I would...Been coming here for 3 years, no consistency at all. Security tells you where to drop your loaded or empty and the Hirschbauch yard dogs tells you to go somewhere else. Yard dogs have attitudes unless your a Hirschbauch as well.Lord help you if your delivering a loaded trailer and picking up a loaded trailer; but it's not ready yet. They have an annoying rule that you must leave with a trailer if you bring one in.So they make you grab an empty that's ziptied dirty with usually 1/2 tank of fuel and they won't let you back on the property to get your loaded until you go get it washed out and refueled. Creating 3-5 hours of work since the pilot close by was demolished and being rebuilt. If your drop and hook had a huge window for being picked up .. expect it to be done by the ddt time.Attitude for security guards and yard dogs are usually horrible.. occasionally security Is great but yard dogs are always douchnozzles .Shipping office personal are always nice and bathroom is usually clean.

I pick up from here often, pretty straight forward process: get to gate, give security the p/u number, they will give you a sheet to accompany your bills; park off to the right behind the scale, walk in the office and hand clerk your paperwork; you’ll get a text for what door to hit, leave doors closed; you’ll get a text when finished loading, hit the scale, roll out. Average time from entering empty to rolling out loaded is 4 hours, easy to maneuver around, make sure you have a hi vis vest or clothing on

I remember such a face as she should not be kicked out, but should be thrown into the trash for my accent, she deceived me and said that our scales do not work, I went to the parking lot and everything was the same with me, I returned that they unloaded, in principle, you look at her face, you can already see that she not a person, but just a creature, and let the boss see my review and kick out people like her, they should not work in such a place.

4 hours to get loaded. It's nice that the facility is easy to maneuver in. It's nice the guards are friendly. But this is trucking, and most of us get paid by the mile, not the hour.

It's taking me too long to get this load and I hope that I can get to South Carolina by 9 am tomorrow.

Very professional and polite. I was really by a day, but they did allow me to unload 5 hours before my appointment, so it was reasonable, plenty of parking close by should you have to wait, like across the street close. That was my first impression...On my second visit, I was dropping one load and picking up another. The load I was picking up was not ready. Gotta sit like at least 9 hours for it even though it was supposed to be getting loaded at least at the time of my arrival they had not gotten to it yet. They gave me a big run around about how I had to take an empty out with me to go wait across the street for my actual trailer. They then tried to tell me if it was dirty I had to go have it washed, I said well I got almost no time left and there isn't a wash out right near here so that's not gonna happen. You can not wait inside the yard, lol, even though the yard is run by the company I drive for they still won't allow it..I saw other trucks sitting but maybe they were dedicated trucks in not sure. So I spent an hour trying to find an empty, I think it was the only empty we had at the time there just to sit across the street...The staff is still friendly but quite literally their policies just waste truck drivers time on their clock and nothing more, best way to piss a driver off is mess with their time. It's a hot disorganized mess in there. You gotta Chace the yard jockey down to find out where to put your trailer, or if you gotta take an empty to bring it back but then security says the yard jockey don't know. Then why in the world did you tell me to ask him.?? Disorganized.. they need communication and someone who's actual job is to direct the trucks where, what, when etc.

2 lanes in 2 lanes out, busy but friendly guard personnel, more than enough maneuvering room, on-site scale.

Even though we were late due to a accident on i465 they had amazing people who stayed after to unload us. Good people who understand and get people on their way. You guys rock keep up the good work!!!!

I’ve been coming to this warehouse for almost four years now. There is no such thing as consistency here whatsoever. Dropping an empty trailer? Every time you come here you have to hunt down a yard jockey to ask them where they want it, because it’s different every time I come here. Have an appointment time? Sometimes it’s early, sometimes it’s twelve hours behind, depends on the mood in the place honestly. Have you received a Smithfield bible yet? Well you sure as heck will here, the amount of paperwork involved is absurd, plain and simple, there is a reason they placed stools at the counter. They really need to sort this paperwork issue out, the amount of paper used is plain and simply unacceptable. Also, god forbid they decide to have a bad day, they’ll let you hook up to your companies empty trailer, get ready to roll, then show up and say oh you can’t take that trailer then threaten to ban you from the property. Just another meat patch warehouse ran by a company that treats drivers only marginally better than the animals they slaughter. I’d sit here and say I’d enjoy never coming back but we all have to put food on the table so we have no choice but to take the absolute asinine treatment we receive as drivers here.

Just terrible!!! How can people working here treat truck drivers, who have a major impact on our economy, like their time and themselves do not matter and ALL because the one has an accent??!! You must be ashamed of yourself for discriminating someone and putting them down JUST because of their accent!

Not a bad place at all to pick up from just plan on the load not being ready until the end of your appt window and have a trailer full of fuel and clean, make sure you have a number that starts with 430 or they won't let you get your load

Nice clean airy open space. Guards are nice. They let you in 5 hours before your appointment. But that's the problem do I blame the broker for it saying 1st come 1st served? Then you come back at your appointment time & like all shippers it seems, they start loading you right at the 2 hour mark for detention, then they won't sign in and out times so you can get paid for it. Also I don't like how on their multi drop loads, the appointment times are spread out as to make delivery illegal. Who are the planners?

Jennifer Sorensen

Will not tell you when they have an empty trailer available. Also won’t let you stay more than 2 hrs in the yard. Tell you to call back and check in later to see if they have one available.

Terrible, dropped loaded trailer waited 24 hrs for empty and had to leave because they kept using the empty trailer for another loads. Nasty business.

I read the comments about this facility, and I had to make a comment. Usually I do not make comments. For I am a commercial motor vehicle operator, and I don't have time to. Ergo; Most truck drivers in my opinion and most customers view truck drivers as: demanding, rude, unprofessional, and believe they are above everyone else. Nevertheless; I talk to most customers, because I am a professional commercial motor vehicle operator- not a truck driver. Pay close attention to the difference.
