What's not to like about Greenfield's premium ice cream shop? They have gourmet flavors like lavender/honey, lemon/blueberry, and many others. The staff are super polite and willing to serve up samples so you can narrow your choice down to the perfect flavor for your mood. It's also a perfect dessert after dinner at the Depot restaurant next door. Grab the kids and head down to Libby's to put a smile on everyone's face.

This is a perfect location for an ice cream shop. It is very well run. The line moves fast and your order comes out fast too. I honestly don’t know what bad ice cream tastes like so I’m not sure how anyone could complain. The doggies liked their pup cups too! (Update May 2023: they just reopened across the way in a new building. They only have one window now and they need to work out the bumps in their process to make it run more smoothly. Maybe customers can order inside and their orders can be passed out the window. Taking and receiving orders from the one window is definitely a bottleneck.)

Major improvement in 2023 compared to 2022. The ice cream shop has moved from the building on the north side of Depot Street Park to the building on the south side of the park, just a couple of hundred feet away.But the big difference is the old location had a walk up window only. The new location has indoor service and seating as well as a walk up window, as well as a wooden deck outside the shop.It's so much nicer to be able to view the choices in the display case as opposed to picking a flavor from the list of choices on the window at the old location. Win-win for everyone!

Best ice cream I've had since Swenson's Ice Cream Parlor. The only thing I would change is the size of the scooper! Of course I want more, their ice cream is incredible. I'd eat there every day. Also seems like all the hard working teenagers decided to work for Libby's. Any small reason to go to Greenfield gives me the opportunity to have some ice cream!We love the effervescent customer service, your teenage employees all represent Libby's well. The service is so outstanding, my wife and I assume everyone working there is family! Keep up the amazing job! Inspired ice cream.

The ice cream is delicious, and there's a good variety of ice cream products. They definitely have something for everyone, even dogs. They have a convenient walk-up window, and the staff is very friendly. The prices are reasonable, and it's clean. Great place to take the whole family!

Our favorite summer time stop! Location is right at Depot Park, this year you are able to walk up to the window or go inside. We walk the Pensy trail often and attend special events at the park and we always make time for a Libby's stop! The ice cream is amazing. My kids enjoy the cotton candy ice cream while I prefer the Graham Central Station.

Overall, Libby's is a little small on the inside, so on a really hot day it gets a little crowded. On the flip side, there is a ton of space outside to enjoy ice cream while walking around. They counter had plenty of flavors to choose from. Will be back.

Had the banana split in a cup. Yeah, I'll be back lol. Ice cream is smooth and soft, rich in flavor.Update:Been here several times since this initial review. Today is 4-8-24 (Eclipse day). My boy and I got a scoop each of the Eclipse and Blue Moon flavors. Interesting mix, but still delicious, if you like black licorice lol.

I know that this is a local must-go but being from out of town, I was sorely disappointed. I ordered a chocolate malt. When it was finished and handed to me, it had the consistency of heavy whipping cream and its color was a little too dark. We asked to have it made again and it was the exact same result. I rarely complain so I just took it thinking it would taste fine. I was totally wrong. It was gross. I immediately threw it away. It didn't occur to me until later but part of the problem was that it was made with chocolate ice cream - chocolate malts are made with vanilla ice cream with malted milk balls added to it and then mixed together. I have no idea why it was a very liquid consistency. Maybe it was mixed for way too long.***8.14.23 edit after store response below***I appreciate the rapid response and I do realize that these things happen from time to time. With the waiting line zig zagging through the store and out the front door, I was absolutely impressed with the poise, determination, and attention to good customer service that all the girls working that day had! My friend, the local, swears up and down that my experience was an anomaly which I fully believe. If I'm ever that way in the future, I guarantee I'll stop in again and I'm certain my experience will be much different than the first!

Lovely little spot to stop and get some ice cream. Staff was nice, and held it together after 2 worker's got off for the day leaving 3. Tasted WAY better than DQ and it was definitely worth the little drive it took to get there. Will be coming back, definitely if management want's to give me some free I've cream cone bowl thing's for me and my 3 kid's! Lol just saying.

First time there and they were awesome!! Had a bunch of flavors and new varieties. Our dog loved the pup cup topped with a milk bone! The ladies there were nice as could be. Kept a different dog in front of us occupied with a pup cup so the lady in front of us could finish transaction. Great hometown place!!

Great locally owned ice cream stand, walk-up only. Plenty of good flavors and a few dairy-free options. Happily, the city has built a the beautiful Depot St. Park across the street, so there are plenty of places to sit and enjoy your sweet treats, as well as places for kids to run and play. Definitely an ideal spot for an afternoon or evening treat.

They have Sundae's ice cream. That alone should tell you this place is the best ice cream place around—but it doesn't stop there.They've got a ton of options that are all done well, a quick staff, and great portions for the price.We stumbled on this place when walking on the trail, but we've returned multiple times because we can't seem to stay away!

The Ice cream is great but the lack of a place to sit in the shade was not so great. I will go here again when they have tables with umbrellas. It was super hot out when we went so all 6 of us stood in the alley to eat our ice cream with my grand kids. :(

They always have a wide variety of flavors.. Staff is always nice... And they across the street from depot park, a nice little park with tables, swings, little water fountain and a stage where kids can play, run and burn some energy

I had a small sundae which was two scoops and my daughter had a two scoops cone. Ice cream was wonderful and the prices are very reasonable. Service was excellent. Highly recommend visiting if you're in the area.
