Great organization to help animals in need. Please consider adopting instead of shopping breeders. Many animals are in need of a good home, and the ones at the animal shelter are just as good as purebred animals.

I have been in to shop here a lot and have donated to the store as well. I've had great experiences either way. Prices are low. And they have great bag sales from time to time. . They also carry pet food and supplies which are very affordable. They've also helped me spay and nueter several cats and dogs. Very good place. Nice pet friendly atmosphere.

Great! We've been searching for a sweet natured loving companion to join our family and found "River" at this shelter. I had a call from Erin Gibbons in answer to our inquiry. After speaking with Erin I couldn't wait to tell my husband and I told Erin, it sounds like the dog my husband has been searching for. We met "River" today it was instant love. Erin was very knowledgeable about River and she described her perfectly. We could tell how much Erin loves her job and working with the animals. Our family is complete.

Love this place! I call it my favorite indoor garage sale. Thrift shop with nice quality items. Always find nice quality clothes, shoes and house decor. I’m an animal lover and shop here to support local animal shelter. Volunteers are very friendly. Highly recommend this store. They accept donations behind store. Just pull up behind store and someone will help bring in donations.

Super friendly staff! They were so helpful and nice. They really care about the animals that come in and do all they can to help them and you. Hope my doggo never gets lost again and ends up here, but at least you know if your animal does end up here, they will be in excellent hands.

I come here often and the staff are usually friendly but the other day the young lady with the baseball cap who works there got short with me , just bc I asked about returning something, she said it's on the receipt no returns and walks away. I just thought she was rude .

I absolutely love this place! The money goes to the animal shelter and the volunteers who work here are great people! I personally think it's way better than Goodwill!

They promise to help me find my dog, and sent her out to a rescue. They found her but now they say that they can’t help me. They are not very good people in my opinion! Don’t go here!!!

I went to 7 different shelters around central Indiana looking for my pet. I'd say that Putnam County's Humane Society offers the most services for the adoption fee. Spay/neutering, RFID chip, vaccines, etc.... Some other Shelters offer similar services for a similar price. I've been happy with my pet and he's been quite healthy. If you're looking for a pet, you should check out HSPC. You can even see the available animals using Pet Finder website from home.

Wonderful cause, wonderful people. The prices are very fair, and the merchandise is unique and fun to look thru. The pet friendly atmosphere is a nice touch. Highly recommend stopping in!!

I gave this place 1 star because I wasn't able to give it 0 star. Before they would allow me to adopt, I would have to agree to let them have the dog mutilated, instead of letting me take the dog to my own vet. Their attitude stunk.

I was going through a rough time as well as my family. We were looking at having to put our dog down. The man that runs the place called andused threats, showed no compassion, and was thinking only of money. He wouldnt listen to a word i said. Needless to say when he relized i was going to do what was needed he still never said sorry. Even used badge to try and scare me. Sad that our tax money goes to someone like that...

Needs to be more county resident friendly. You have to call them if you find a animal. Then they have to get a ok from someone to bring the animal in or not, etc. To much legal red tape to go through.
