I initially became a customer at this location because of the Vetco they have on Saturdays.I came back for their grooming services.I can 100% recommend their vet services for vaccines and medical exams and they also prescribed my pets medicine in a way I can get it filled at any pet pharmaceutical location.

I’m a 60 year old woman who just had a stroke 🧠 and I fully expected some help loading and even asked for it. The young healthy strong woman was probably in her 20’s, just told me to be careful it was awkward and heavy after I asked for help loading it in the car. I believe she missed the que! She even mentioned she wished she had a cart to put the “XXLarge dog Kennel”, the biggest and heaviest one there is, to help me get out out but she didn’t have one. Other than also having to wait for her to arrive at the pickup counter it was fine. I managed it just would have been nice to have help

I'm honestly a disappointed with petco a lot lately.. I used to go here all the time, I have one cat, A leopard gecko, And a fifty five gallon aquarium. The past few times I have been in, If there is someone at the front register they consistently act rude, And you can clearly tell they are not happy with their job. I never get greeted anymore when I go inside, The fish tanks have been filthy with so many dead Fish, which causes so many diseases and problems with any other fish in the same tank. And also that contaminates the water. I've had aquariums for years. And they clearly do not clean their tanks. Daily, let along weekly. The smell at the University drive location. It's almost unbearable.Probably do to the other animals. And there are environments that don't get cleaned. Also don't ever plan on returning anything because receipt or not even asking for a manager which was also kind of rude. They will make every excuse as to why they can't give you A Refund for almost anything. I don't know maybe it's just me, But in my opinion, this place just isn't what it used to be.

We love Petco grooming! Our dog Buddy has black nails and did not want his paws messed with, making nail trims hard. Bobby with Petco has been great. Buddy now lifts each paw without pulling away.

My review is for the girl in the reptile department or that area younger girl blonde hair with glasses. I did not get her name, but she was very knowledgeable. Answered every question I had for her and knew what she was talking about. This is an employee want to keep or reward. I would recommend your store because of her. Hope all your other employees are just as good. But she was wonderful. She is very knowledgeable of what she is doing and that impressed me wish I knew her name because I would give her a great compliment she knew what she was doing, thank you for helping me and all my questions

I have had saltwater aquariums for years and my tank is full of corals so my parameters are spot on. I was in petco and saw a Pakistan butterfly fish and have been looking for one for a long time and finally found it there. I ask the girl if there was a refund on saltwater fish and she told me 30 days so I purchased it. Took it home and it didn’t make it through the night. I did a drip method to acclimate it and added him in to my quarantine tank but he was dead by morning. Took it back a the rude manager basically called me a liar and said I wasn’t told that. I buy a lot for supplies from there but will never shop there again. I hope they close that place down!!

I love this place,I have several fresh water aquariums, and the people in that section are knowledgeable, and if I have any questions, they have answers most the time. If your looking for specific kinds of fish and they don't have them, they will order them and call you when they come in. Chelsea, one of the managers, is great.

Great service and employee's. Things were a bitter scattered. On a scale of one to ten on things being where they are supposed to be. Id give them a 6. Also they didn't seem to have different sizes in specific items. All in all BRAVO!!

Went for a second time and was very disappointed. The young lady who was working the cash register had me waiting just for someone to refill the bags for treats. Totally disregarded me! I can empathize because you're working the register. When the manager who seems to be very overweight and sluggish finally comes out of his office only to have me waiting an additional 10 min or so did apologize. What I did not like was how she handled the situation....long story short make sure the bags are stocked at all times 🙄

I have been shopping here for years,but now I have to give them a zero. The cashier was inattentive, talking on her phone at the register instead of checking us out. She then was annoyed that we asked for a bag for the 10 items we purchased. She then ripped the plastic bag and refused to give us a replacement, informing us that they charge for the bags. This is an indictment on PETCO as a whole, when I spend $100+ on your overpriced stuff and it can't even give me decent service or a bag, we are done. Our money is better spent elsewhere.

I’m a great fish mom . Because I love my animals and I study/research , a lot , to give the best care I can. But I’m also new to this hobby so I wanted to start small until I’m more confident. The day came when I wanted to add one little buddy into my tank - yes it’s a betta tank but I know there are one or two fish types that can hang w/ them and not get harassed . One Fish, if possible, was all I wanted. I went to Petco to see if they had a little one ... an endler perhaps or Cory Dora , or chili rasbora ... Sadly the attendant showed shocking disgust on her face when I told her my tank was 5 gallons . You would have thought I had my fish in a tea cup . I’ve never felt so second class citizen in a shopping experience . I want Petco to do well , they far outshine PetSmart . But I will no longer be shopping there - not for supplies , or bigger tanks , nor my conure or my Beardie boy . I applaud anyone protecting animals but this was a gross experience . If you work in retail please just nicely explain things and help people without antagonism or disrespect , “ we don’t have fish for a 5 gallon other than bettas” would have been perfectly fine. If the rule applies : 1 inch of fish per gallon “ then I was willing to try one more fish and grow my little family . But Petco will not be serving me in my hobby pursuits . I’ll retreat to online purchases like most hobbyists I guess . It’s Sad. Lessons: Don’t treat customers like horrible people . You wouldn’t like that either . Be kind and teach . Otherwise , your there to educate & sell fish . Not judge people just starting out .

Took my cockaspaniel/ poodle in for the first time to Petco groomer appointment at this location. I was immediately greeted by the staff and asked if i needed assistance? I asked where the grooming department was and was directed! The groomer took out a chart that had different length of hair, and asked how long or short I wanted my dogs hair cut? I showed her what I wanted and how I wanted her face cut and shapped and went on my marry way. It was about 12:22pm when I dropped off my pups and was called back to pick her up in less than 2 hours! The groomer did exactly what i asked and did an amazing job! I finally found a place my dog actually enjoys!

We took our 8yr old lab to Petco in Granger for the first time last week. Bobbie was her groomer and did an amazing job. We did a bath with de-shedding and my dog now smells like vanilla and isn't leaving hair tumble weeds all over my house. This is the first proper de-shedding she has ever had. Her teeth were brushed, ears cleaned and nails trimmed. She can be very nervous, but was a hap-py, happy dog when we picked her up!!! Already scheduled again.

They don't have a very good selection. Can in & there were 3 staff members talking to each other at the register. After looking for what I came for, I had to go find someone to ask. They were still standing there talking. I asked where the no-pulk harnesses were & 1 staff member showed me & walked away. Didn't ask if I needed any more help, just left. Also, I didn't offer an opinion at all. This place is handicapped accessible.

Always helpful, clean looking store, always find something new for my babies. I have now been taking my dog Sugar here for grooming for quite some time. I don't like taking her anywhere else. Bobbie has her full trust so I know he cares for her while she is in his custody. Her nails are half black and half white so I was worried about trimming them. This is what initially brought me here. They do a wonderful job all around.

Went to obtain essentials for my kid's JubJub. Had everything we needed. Clean store, aisles well marked for easy directions. My doggo has scary Borks, like a hell hound's would sound I imagine. They resonate. She made a few Borks at checkout, because I got her post divorce around 1k miles from anyone I knew and raised her in lockdown... She's timid and people are new things she hasn't much experience with yet. Anyway, other than jumping at the sound and asking if she was vicious, the staff were still very nice to the scary sounding void that is my stupid puppy.Kid's JubJub and doggo in picture.

We stopped in without an appointment to get a nail trim and file. Super friendly staff, very professional, and my dog loved the extra attention he got from staff and pet-conscience (i.e. asking before approaching) customers. I also grabbed a bag of rat food during our trip. This is a good place to stop for pretty much all pet needs.

Went looking for pet carriers. Found several here. Looked at them online at Petco.com and they were on sale. Some 50% off and offered 10% off for curbside pickup.

I had a product in my hand at the check out… showed them how much cheaper it was if I ordered online … got told to order it online for in-store pick up and they could have it ready in one hour. That was the only way to get the discount. There are also online sales that can only be used if you show the cashier your phone so match the product number. So essentially the store is screwing over people like my grandma who is not staring at her phone while shopping. I’m not jumping through hoops to get your sale… Pet Supplies Plus will tell you about their sales, not hide them.

They have a treat bar where you buy by the pound. My dogs love the sandwich cookies, it's a special treat for them.

I recently got a starfish there, and the lady who got it for me was sweet but did not know how to handle it. She took it out of the water twice which is FATAL for a starfish. I went back to the store to return it because on their website it says ALL aquatic life can be returned in 30 days if it’s not doing well. I was then told that that’s wrong and that it does not apply to petco so false advertising is a fun thing to them. It’s just upsetting, and a bad experience over all.

I love the Honest Kitchen brand that they carry for my dogs food, they feature human grade food and my dogs who have never been ones for kibble actually devour this food. Also, compared to the other big box pet stores, I feel that their fish tanks are better kept and tended to than others, which I really appreciate. Good variety of fish supplies and furry friend supplies.Make sure to use the app or online for coupons and rewards!
