I have my Archie for 2 1/.2 months now and he is our most beloved family member. He has been healthy and adjusted to his new home right away. I followed up with the vet 2 weeks after picking him up. The vet was impressed with his paperwork being in order and all his vaccines. We continue using the same dog food as recommended by A Heart for Puppies but with added healthy snacks like apples and carrots. I was instructed on walking Archie with the leash and on potty training. The gentleman that helps us at the facilities stressed to us it was important to continue with Archie’s routine. I followed every recommendation and that facilitated Archie’s care for feedings, sleeping and bathroom. Caring for Archie is a breeze! Our energy is place on kisses, dancing, long walks and plenty of traveling!!!

Absolutely the best experience I have had dealing with a breeder. A Heart for Puppies helped us find our bundle of joy, Fionn. We are so thankful for that. If you are looking to adopt a puppy that is well taken care of and trained this is the place for you. I must say that I was a bit skeptical about obtaining a pet from a breeder. I could not have been more pleasantly surprised. From my initial contact with them until a week after , so far, I brought my fur baby home, they have been extremely professional and helpful with any questions and concerns I might have. Upon visiting and viewing the puppies, I found all of the dogs to be well cared for in a very clean and functional environment. They had puppies that I might be interested in waiting in a viewing, interactive area. All of the puppies seemed to be very playful, healthy and very socialized. Our puppy actually picked us and we couldn't be happier. I am thankful that I live close enough to be able to actually visit and interact with the puppies before I got one. Their web site is very informative and all staff are very familiar with each dog. If you are looking for a doodle, this is definately the place to start.

We adopted ‘Dena’ now ‘Annie’ a week ago yesterday. We could not be more happier with her! Our experience working with Glendon and Tona was amazing! 5 stars is not high enough. When we called they answered right away. As far as scheduling they were so flexible and accommodating! The best thing is their top priority was making sure we found the perfect match for our new family (which includes a standard poodle) service dog. I had so many questions and they were so pleasant and patient with me. Annie is the sweetest, gentlest little gal. She was already potty trained, knew sit and walks on a leash without pulling. Almost 8 days later … not 1 accident. We couldn’t have gone wrong with any of them as they are so sweet. Did I mention their website? The pictures, videos and information are amazing. I could go on and on and on. If you’re looking for an experienced, knowledgeable, kind, patient breeder call them!!! Would chose them again!

We adopted our sweet Cavapoo (formerly Kenna) in November 2022. We had an incredible experience working with A Heart for Puppies. We live in California and they made the experience so smooth. It was a complicated process to get her from Indiana to California during the Thanksgiving holiday along with weather related complications. They very responsive and Tom even called me on Thanksgiving day to provide updates on the travel process. They provided all vet records, genetic testing and were just really easy and kind to work with. We've had our puppy for almost three months now and she has been such a joy to our family! She has slept in her crate at night from 8pm until 7am since Day 1! Our vet has complimented on her playful personality and healthy skin and coat. We couldn't be more happy with this puppy!

We adopted sweet Cavapoo Dexter (formerly Ricardo) two weeks ago at 5.5 months and he has brought so much joy to our house in just a few short weeks. He is living his best life and checked out with the vet perfectly! In fact, the vet continued to comment on how well-mannered our little guy was! He has healed our hearts and our three, young daughters dote on him every chance they can get and he showers them right back with so many kisses and love.Our little guy has such a great demeanor. Plays when you want to play and settles down for a break or snooze when you do. Such a great emotional support breed. Never thought we would be small dog owners but we are completely sold on this breed. They are fantastic!Since Dexter was an older dog when we adopted him, the bulk of the hard work was already done for us! We only have had to work out a few small kinks with potty and crate training with zero complaints here. Now, we are working on getting better at knowing his name, sitting when asked, and following other directions and he is catching on fast! Therefore if you have any form of hesitation adopting an older puppy, fear no more. It truly is a great option for families with most of the work already complete.We really feel like we have hit the jackpot with him and cannot thank the Heart for Puppies team more on developing such a great puppy to add to our family. He has the most handsome look and continues to draw attention from people and loves all the strangers he meets!

Omg we could not be happier with a heart of puppies. We drove almost 3 hours and it was worth it we brought home the sweetest, cutest and most loving puppy. The staff was amazing Tona really was so much help and made the process so smooth they were very patient and they let us take our time in terms of letting us feel which puppy was right for us. We just came home with our mini goldendoodle. We can’t say enough wonderful things about our experience. Wonderful people, clean beautiful facilities. Our vet said River looked great!!! We are so happy with our new Golden-doodle Tobias and we call him Toby for short…❤️A Heart for Puppies has been such a wonderful experience from the first contact to the day our puppy was delivered by the company they use, Welcome Home Transport.The owner’s and their staff people at every stage are so easy to communicate with.We drove two days to get from our home in Minnetonka, Mn to their farm in the Amish country of Indiana. It was so beautiful with the springtime. I imagine it in the Fall.If you go to the farm, it is a tranquil and ideal place for raising their puppies. There is a feeling of pride in the place, of doing the best job they can in every part of A Heart for Puppies. The owner, Glendon Yoder and his employee Tona, visited with us and got a feel for what our home would be like. We met their families too…. We saw 4 puppies in over an hour in a nice building with a pretty visitor room for seeing your puppy choices …first chosen from online. They did not rush us, which I needed. I knew when I first saw him! The other puppies were wonderful too.We had Toby checked out by our veterinarian today and he was very impressed with our puppy's calm nature, beautiful coat and health, and with the meticulous paper-work they sent too! He asked how we found them!Our vet, Dr Rob at Gehrman’s animal hospital in Minnetonka, Mn felt that Toby will be a wonderful therapy dog since he is so calm and gentle. I hope he will bring comfort to many people.We feel it is a blessing from God in our life now. We lost our 16 1/2 yr old toy-poodle Dickens only a month ago and we need this new member in our familyfor ourselves and for our other pet’s who are grieving. Already our other toy poodle Paddy who is 15 yrs old has his spirits raised by this calm and loving puppy. He slept with his head next to Toby last night… he’s eating better now. He is very interested in watching Toby be a puppy…You won’t regret the pretty drive to pick out your own puppy from a first-class breederin Indiana who love their puppies like their own. It’s also saying a lot that they are affiliated with the Purdue University Veterinarian program for breeding with high standards.

During our search for a goldendoodle pup we took the time to find a reputable, reliable, and reasonable breeder. After an exhaustive search and many setbacks, we happened upon A Heart for Puppies. Throughout the entire process, the staff has been nothing but professional, knowledgeable, patient, and welcoming. they talked us through every step of the process and made sure we had all the information we needed and answered every question thoughrouly and honestly. They were not pushy and let our needs dictate the flow of things. I have never had such great communication like this and we are very grateful. We fell in love with Inez (now named Pickles), a sweet girl who had a temperament that would fit right in with our family. She was leash trained, socialized, potty trained, and loving. It was clear they took good care of her. She came home with us with all vaccinations and health records, as well as a welcome home kit full of goodies. The process was smooth from start to finish, and our first 2 weeks with Pickles have exceeded our expectations. We can't thank the staff- Tom, Mac, Tona and others- enough for paving the way for us to expand our family and bring more joy to our lives. I strongly recommend A Heart for Puppies, and if the need arises, we will definitely be returning to them in the future.

This was the greatest place to buy our new puppy from! The help, advise and encouragement from Tona was amazing. We told her we wanted a female Cavapoo and within a few days we received a photo of 4 females all from one litter! It was hard to choose which one as they were all so beautiful!! We received photos of her over the next few weeks and a video of her playing ! We were kept informed all the time and then the flight arrangements for her arrival. We picked her up at the airport AND THE FUN BEGAN!! She is just a love , so smart and she is the queen of this home!! Thank you for this adorable little girl. !!!

We purchased our new puppy a few days ago from A Heart for Puppies, and we could not be any happier. He is the sweetest thing, has a very calm temperament, has been EXCELLENT with our children and loves to snuggle. Our puppy was 6 months old when we got him, and he was the last of his litter. We have been absolutely delighted with our experience with A Heart For Puppies! We were a little nervous at first, because we’d been looking into some other dogs, from other online options, who turned out to be from puppy mills. But working with Tom, Tona, and Mac was wonderful— they were responsive, professional, transparent, flexible, and caring. They sent us photos and videos of our dog before he was ready to come home, and were very helpful with all of our questions and the logistics of shipping him to us on the east coast.Our mini bernedoodle puppy arrived yesterday via the American Airlines cargo service. We were nervous about it but everything went smoothly and our puppy arrived without incident in his crate with all his paperwork. He was in perfect condition and glad to see us and stretch his legs. He was immediately sweet, trusting, and remarkably calm. It’s obvious he was well loved. In the past 24 hours we’ve been blown away at what a sweetheart he is. We can’t stop saying “look at how polite he is!” We didn’t know what we’d get but we’re delighted to find he’s affectionate, playful, calm, and quick on the uptake with potty training and settling in. He just got back from the vet who said “I love your dog! He is the perfect puppy!” And he’s in perfect health!It was worth every penny for such a wonderful experience. We love our little guy — he’s napping on my lap right now— and we’re so grateful we found a heart for puppies!

The owners were very polite. They asked all the right questions in a professional manner, and answered all of my ignorant questions. I felt that the price was fair for the quality of their work, the puppy, and the experience. They were more than willing to accommodate our unique situation in picking up the pup. They helped educate us through the process, and even checked up on us two days later via email and phone call.

To say "we are thrilled that we found A Heart For Puppies" is a huge understatement. From the first phone call with Mac to the day we met Tom near O'Hare airport to pick up our sweet Cavapoo girl (birth name: Loretta), we could not have been happier or comfortable with the entire experience. All of our questions were answered immediately, we were FaceTiming with her and her litter mates within hours of our first phone call, all requested documentation (and more) was provided, and the response rate was above and beyond. Even more, Tom drove 5 hours round trip to meet us near the O'Hare airport on a Sunday. The best part though came when we welcomed her home and she was immediately comfortable at our home/around people, was already crate trained for night, very smart, calm, sweet, and what everyone is calling "a dream puppy." She also received a clean bill of health from our veterinarian and was right where she should be with her vaccinations at almost 13 weeks. If you are thinking twice about going with A Heart for Puppies,... don't. They are the real deal and we are so very grateful for all of their hard work in uniting our girl from Indiana with her new family in California. :)

Couldn't be happier with my mini aussiedoodle, Marleau! I got my pup back in April 2020 and he has been such a blessing. Tom and the whole team were so great to work with and helped ensure that Marleau made it home to us safely, since we were unable to travel to Indiana and bring him home ourselves during the beginning of the pandemic. Marleau was almost completely potty trained when we brought him home and he's an extremely smart, high energy, and friendly dog. I absolutely recommend A Heart for Puppies to anyone looking to add a doodle to their family!

I had a great experience with A Heart For Puppies. The process was very smooth. Tom communicated with me from start to finish and even checked on our puppy after I received her to make sure she was doing well. I could tell she was in a loving environment before I received her because she was so playful and happy. She was already semi potty trained and fully crate trained. I did lots of research in the hopes of finding a reputable breeder who takes genetic health seriously. I could not be more pleased or feel more confident working with Mac, Tom and Tona from A Heart for Puppies. The entire process was a pleasure and the best part is we have our Laila! She's 5 mos old now but has been quitely sleeping through the night in her crate since she arrived. She's smart, sweet, adorable and super easy to live with. The team at A Heart for Puppies got her started on not only crate comfort, but also knowing to go outside to do her business (occasional slip ups but 95% perfect!). She was also started on walking on a leash. I highly recommend working with these fine folks!

We picked up our sweet little Ivy 3 weeks ago and have been so in love with her every minute. She is literally the sweetest little puppy with the best temperament…very well behaved and calm, but still loves to fetch and her tail wags allll the time with how happy she is :) We get comments on how well behaved she is everywhere we go (and multiple people saying she’s so cute they want to kidnap her, haha). She’s great on the leash, knew how to sit and lay down when we picked her up, but she just needed a little potty training practice to get used to our home. She is learning so fast!We visited the farm two times before we picked up Ivy and were very impressed with their honesty and transparency. Tona and Nate were there every step of the way to answer my questions, even through after hours texts. I would certainly come back again if and when Ivy is ready for a little sister!

We just adopted our cavapoo from A Heart of Puppies and we’re so happy we did. She’s a great pup and was happy and healthy when we met her. The process was very easy and streamlined. I reached out online and received a response back within a few hours. I scheduled an appointment to visit the farm in Shipshewana and went there the following week. All the puppies we met were amazing and it was hard to only take one home! If we’re ever ready to a second pup to the family we’ll certainly visit A Heart of Puppies again.

There are so many good things I can say about A Heart for Puppies, where do I begin?My husband & I are currently starting our own business, breeding family bred French bulldogs; both exotic and standard. We look for quality, structure, temperament and knowledgeable breeders to buy the best of the best to add to our starting bloodline.Knowledgeable breeders will also do, or being willing to do the legwork to stand behind what the puppy they are selling has to offer. With A Heart for Puppies this was no issue at all. Full Health Panel, DNA, and the Dam & Sires Pedigree were provided without hesitation. When we needed an additional DNA test to show that our lil. stud would carry the allele we wanted for future breedings, this was done without question. Customer Service is another deciding factor when my husband and I are purchasing a dog, because we aren’t just buying a dog, we are buying a dog plus certainty that the breeder will be there if something shall arise later on in the puppies life. With A Heart for Puppies, we trust they will be. Mack, Tona and Amos were there for us anytime we had questions and went above and beyond to ensure we were included in the step-by-step transition from their location in Indiana to our home.When a rough patch took place with the courier service that was used, an apologetic phone call was received from Tona and our money was refunded in full.Dozzer is well behaved, well tempered, socialized, hilarious and exceeded our expectations. We couldn’t have chosen a better stud to join our family and breeding program!A Heart for Puppies is highly recommended by Chunka Chunk Bullies - you won’t be disappointed!

The team at A Heart for Puppies is superb...a quick response from Mac and Tona & Nate met us at their farm. They were knowledgeable & so welcoming.
