The staff is very friendly and accommodating! I chose to wait outside due to severe cat allergies and the technician came out repeatedly to give me results and updates about the checkup/annual visit of my German Shepherd, Luna. The veterinarian also offered to meet me outside if I had any questions or concerns! Extremely positive experience…well done!!

Edited: Well today was a horrible experience. I had a dog get hit by a car outside of my house. Multiple leg fractures and it was dying on my apron. I jumped into the vehicle as fast as I could and was assisted with getting the dog into my truck. I sped to Georgetown Animal Clinic as fast as I could in attempts to save it's life or at least administer euthanasia so the dog didn't have to suffer with traumatic injuries. I got there at 8:15am. I explained that I had a dying dog in my truck and I needed help getting the dog out of the truck. Instead of the staff jumping and trying to administer help like I assumed someone working at a Veterinarian clinic should do. They told me that the doctor wouldn't be in until 9am and that I would have to wait with the dog until after the repairs were completed. Now, at this point I am livid. I couldn't believe that they would tell me this considering that it's not my dog and I wasn't going to foot the bill for the individual who decided to never stop or turn around to check on the animal they hit with their car. The staff never opted to call a doctor or even check on the dog. They just told me that if I wasn't willing to stay with the dog then I needed to go to Louisville with the dying dog. Mind you, I already live 15 minutes away and it took me 15 minutes to get everything ready and the dog into the truck. So we're at 30 minutes of agonizing pain that this animal is suffering through. So I had to drive all the way to New Albany Animal Shelter. Another 15 minutes with traffic. I got there and of course they weren't open so I started panicking. I ended up seeing a staff member pull into the parking lot and when I told them I had a dying dog in my truck, they almost dropped everything they were carrying and ran to figure out what to do. They immediately called the doctor and then proceeded to get the dog muzzled and into the shelter where they found that the dog was chipped. So after 1 hour of brutal, broken limb pain. The dog was in some type of care. I will NEVER bring my pets back to this clinic. They do NOT care about your pets. We've been to vets in New Albany to Lanesville and this is by far, our favorite vet. They don't pressure us into feeling like we have no options when it comes to our girls and we're thankful for thatP.S. I swear we don't beat our girls! They're just doing boxer things 😄

Very professional, extremely helpful. We take our 2 dogs out of the US in the cabin of planes and no other area veterinarians have been as willing to assist with obtaining the required paperwork. My wife and I highly recommend Georgetown Veterinary clinic

I don't usually post reviews for places but my experience was expensive and awful. My dog had a swollen ear and I just wanted to bring her in to make sure it wouldn't pop or something of the sort. Brought her in and they told me "yup that ear sure is swollen go buy this off Amazon, that'll be $250 please... Also we couldn't help but notice your dog has lumps around her breasts for $50 we can check for cancer" (I'm paraphrasing)Obviously worried I agree to the $50 upcharge, they come back saying the results are inconclusive and they're going to send them to a lab. Later get an email saying results are inconclusive and they don't know if it's cancer or just a cyst...Thanks vet you know who else can tell me my dog's ear is swollen and how to treat it?? the google search bar. $300 to tell me my dog's ear is swollen and that she MIGHT have cancer... GREAT.A few months go by and my dog's condition visibly worsens, she's anemic, has an expanded belly, very lethargic and struggles to stand up. Still burnt about spending $300 for literally nothing I go to a different vet. They do blood work for $200 and for FREE tell me she has free moving liquid in her abdomen and mammary cancer that they can diagnose by visual and touch alone...Thanks Georgetown vet.. the new vet thinks the mammary cancer is malignant and spread to the spleen & or liver causing a burst (international bleeding) we schedule an ultrasound to see if it's the spleen(she might have a few more months left to live)or the liver(she's already dead). Her condition only gets worse and on a Saturday afternoon we decide we don't think she'll make it to Monday and take her to the metro emergency vet. At this point I'm willing to spend thousands for just an extra month or two with her. they do some blood work and an ultrasound and discover she only has 15% red blood cells and that cancer has ravaged her liver... My dog has already been dead for the past weeks and was just hanging on. I wasn't ready to put her down that day but it was the right thing to do. I had to bury her that night...I'm not going to point fingers and say this vet killed my dog obviously the cancer did. they just overcharged for a mediocre service and I'm pissed about it. Maybe If I wasn't so burned from this vet charging me so much for nothing I would've sought out another vet to check on my dogs mammary cancer and maybe earlier treatment would've given me a few extra months where her condition wouldn't have deteriorated so quickly. If this vet treats you well I'm glad for you but I will not be visiting this vet again.

I recently switch my pets to Georgetown Veterinary and I couldn’t be happier with my experiences here. I was previously at Hillside and my cockapoo has gone to Hillside since he was about 8 weeks old. He is now 13 and was gaining weight and had terrible hot spots on his skin. Hillside vet prescribed him medicine but never got down to the problem. Georgetown Veterinary found out his thyroid level was low and put him on thyroid medicine. He’s lost 1 1/2 pounds and his skin is clearing up. Thank you to Georgetown Veterinary and my animals will never go back to Hillside Veterinary. Hillside also told me my miniature schnauzer had a couple teeth with tartar on them so I scheduled a cleaning. I brought my miniature schnauzer in to Hillside Veterinary to have his teeth cleaned and without letting me know they removed 24 of his teeth on a 6 year old very healthy dog. And proceeded to tell me his teeth were falling out. His teeth had been cleaned once a month by his groomer and his teeth were not falling out! Done with Hillside Veterinary

Reason why there is so many stray animals in this county. Used them for our pets in the past. Called to get prices on spay and neuter with use of country vouchers. They used to be very reasonably priced and affordable in their old business building. Now they got a new building, they charge each too much. People using vouchers can not afford over $ 100 bucks per animal. We only paid $ 130 for 2 animals at their old building.

On April 6,23 I had to make one of the hardest decision. To ease my Best fur friend pain. I took Doodles into the Vet. And I was so distraught and upset knowing my best friend wasn't coming back home with me.When I say from the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted with respect and my feelings were handled with the up most care. I waited less then 5 min before being taken to the room with my Doodles 🐕. Chelsie was amazing and very caring. Chelsie ensure me that Doodles would be ok and will be handled with proper care. The peace I felt in the room with my furbaby was amazing, I wasn't rushed and I was able to take all the time I needed to spend with my baby up to the last minute 💙 The staff at Georgetown Vet was beyond amazing I'm very thankful to Dr. Linne, Chelsie and the Amazing Staff .If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

My little shih tzu was shaking going in but then did not want to leave. She had two shots and blood drawn and didn't even realize it. The vet tech and vet loved on her and treated her so well that she didn't want to leave. I've had several dogs and have never had that happen before at my old vet places. They get 5 stars from me and my dog Binky. Thank you for changing her vet experience into something positive!

I just took my dog outside to potty and she came back in limping. I couldn’t find anything in her foot but it was hot so I called Georgetown veterinarian clinic. By the time we got there, she wasn’t limping and the foot was not hot..I told them she was fine. I think that she got stung by a bee. They took me back anyway, wanted to prescribe me steroids and Benadryl that I denied. I was there five minutes and was charged $42. We won’t be back.We were literally not even there 5 minutes.

We had to take our dachshund in due to not eating and barely drinking. He had been vomiting for a while and he was just not getting any better. I called to get the appointment and they quickly worked him in. I had to wait a few minutes for the vet and her assistant to come in, but when they did, they loved on him just like he was their own. We ended up having to put him down and they were AWESOME about explaining the process and having sympathy for and with us! It was not a great experience for me (since I have never had to experience putting a dog down) as the owner because I wanted him to get better, but they made sure to comfort me as well and did a WONDERFUL job. I highly recommend them because I feel like they understood what I was going through and were very honest in a kind way. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. And I will be going back if I ever need them again!

Called yesterday to confirm my appointment. Drove 33miles to the clinic to be told they just ran out of the vaccine that my pet was coming in for...why couldn't they set the shot back for her or at least tell me when I called to let me know they wouldn't have enough??? This is not good customer service in my opinion. I understand they are busy but so am I and my time is just as important....good customer service is important and says a lot about a business. This has me thinking I need to find another vet service.😡
