I always find what I need and the store looks nice— but there’s hardly ever an employee up front. I was standing in line and the girl upfront just walked away from the register and went to the back room when two people were still waiting. I guess she expected us to use the one self check out they have? Some people are in a rush to get in and get out. When I worked here I never left that register until I was sure there were no more customers in line. This new generation of workers crack me up lol.

Had to return an unused item, with a receipt. Attendant tried to make up some policy asking if I used self-checkout to buy the item I'd only be able to get a store gift card (regardless I didn't know). This policy is not posted in store, on the receipt or on the DG website. Rather sketchy.

I love the convenience of being able to get multiple categories of items in a smaller footprint. What I don't love, is that this location doesn't seem to be able to keep up with stock, nor keep aisles unobstructed. If you are claustrophobic, I'd advise you to stay away.That said, I realize this isn't just the staff's fault. Like everywhere, Corporate dictates that we can do so much more than is realistically possible on a substantially reduced payroll budget. I just never see any sense of urgency from anyone while I an there.

Staff is always inviting and helpful. I made a return here today without any problems. The shelves are usually a bit disheveled looking but I rarely can go to a Dollar General anywhere and it's immaculate. Public bathrooms is a plus!

First vist at this particular DG. We stopped as we were passing through running late to get home and needed some groceries. The grocery stores had already closed for the day. Freezers were very bare and we weren't able to get what we needed. I understand that they aren't a grocery chain but it was strange to see so many empty spaces in the sfrezer section. I don't remember what we weren't able to get so it must not have been too big of a problem. It seemed like this location was a little more organized than most that I have been to. Usually Almost DG are a mess,as if stock person as an occupation is a dying breed.

I have only gone here a handful of times but the employees and manager (the guy I have met a couple of times) are absolute rockstars! I have zero complaints and definitely plan on making this store part of my shopping days. Thank you for being such a great store! A thousand times better than the Family Dollar up the street

I absolutely love New Salisbury Dollar General Store!! The staff is wonderful and they know I'm #1 customer plus this is my #1 store if not everyday it's every other day!! Keep up the hard work... love my DGS!!!

This is a nice little store. It is a great place to get cleaning supplies and sodas. It can be a little messy at times but I believe that is because they are busy with only a couple employees working at a time.

The price on milk here is great. For a gallon of Dean's milk, it is 1.20 after taxes. The price of a 4 pound bag if sugar is 1.70 after taxes. The prices they have beat any other store around on most things. Even if you just come here to get milk and sugar, your trip would be well worth it! Those are the everyday prices!

I went to Dollar General at 9:45 5o get a snack and walked store for 10 minutes to see if anything neat was there. I went back to my car and was texting a friend and got caught up in conversation for 15 minutes and they called the police.. Police showed up at 10:15 and said business is closed what are you doing in their parking lot have you been drinking? What is your name Now? Where do you live? No i have not been drinking im not texting and driving.....

The prices aren't the lowest, but the location is close and convenient. They could use more staff to keep the shelves stocked and aisles clear. It is very difficult to use a cart when shopping for more than a handful of items.

I hated looking up this location & now I won't be going. That girl's photo is gross on the store's main page. If that's how they portray themselves as a business, I'd rather go to Family Dollar or even better- the new Dollar General in New Salisbury. Even for a discount store, seems like it would be dirty.

I really like and appreciate the new remodel/ addition of groceries. The store looks great. In a small town, it's been very helpful and convenient to have more food options available nearby. Produce would be a nice addition.I would give five stars, but the app for DG and cash register software are both horrible. Not all forms of payment are automatically accepted, which requires the customer to inform the cashier and special buttons to be pushed beforehand. The app has so many glitches that it's almost unusable, and I often end up clipping DG coupons through another app. For such a big company, software upgrades and updates should be an easy, common sense investment.

It's getting to the point no one wants to shop here. I went for a simple bottle of shampoo the other day and NONE were on the shelf. Not 1 bottle. Only conditioner. Seriously, get it together.

Need to keep their stock filled on certain items like milk, bread, and eggs. This won't be as much of an issue now, they finally raised their crazy inexpensive prices on eggs and milk.

This is the same as all DG stores in what they sell. It does get a little messy and cluttered, not dirty. They seem to have trouble getting things on the shelf quickly.

It's amazing to go into Dollar General store and the shelves are stocked! I'm used to the Clarksville Dollar store it's shelves are usually bare or sold out of what I was needing.
