Small town creamery with a big menu of ice cream treats. And food too! We started with a Pop Rock Slushie, burger and fries, and a few games of air hockey... I was frozen with indecision on the ice cream. A flight of 5 flavors for $5 was tempting, Cherry amaretto brownie sundae (homemade brownie!), Sweet and Salty sundae with chips both sounded yummy but I went with the PB Brownie Cookie dough shake. I got the small and only managed half. The flavor selection is amazing including carrot cake, raspberry Creme brûlée, amaretto cherry, butterfly kisses.... it was worth the country drive out. Do check the hours before you go! They are fairly limited.

Stopped in today and tried a wrap and then got some ice cream. Very cool place in downtown Gaston. Lively atmosphere and great food with small town charm.

Great service. Hot fudge brownie sundae was fantastic and enough for two people. My daughter enjoyed the cotton candy ice cream. Great atmosphere. Even had an air hockey table and a couple things for the kids to do.

This will have been my 3rd trip to this location. I have had many different kinds of ice cream from many different places. And I have to say that when I come to the area this is a must have on our list. She likes the Lemon bar, and Carrot Cake so much that she wants it when we are in town. I like the All things Reece's as well as peanut butter fluff. I get these 2 together and it is an awesome treat. Love this place

They have a wide variety of flavors to choose from that are DELICIOUS and several kinds of cones and cups to choose from to make it that much better. It's definitely worth the price! I haven't tried their food yet but I plan to soon.

We love the Barking Cow! It is a wonderful family owned establishment. They have awesome customer service along with great food. Their ice cream is homemade and all of it is so good! We love all of the flavors! You will enjoy this small town restaurant and definitely go back to it again and again!

The food is fresh, handmade to order and delicious. The ice cream is decadent. It's rich, creamy and their original flavors are incredible! It's in a tiny little town on a tiny little street but this cute little shop packs huge flavor and massive amounts of fun into your visit! Go! Go now!!!!

Gaston's finest. The Barking Cow has a great selection of ice cream including some of their own flavors. A few sundaes are also available along with some real food. To be honest, we go for the ice cream. The founder has made great efforts to showcase hometown pride throughout the restaurant.

Very interesting and unique restaurant. The ice cream and food they serve is very good. The owner has put in a lot of work to ensure that the restaurant is a part of the town and not just in the town, and he has done a very good job. The Delaware county pothole ice cream is my personal favorite, and they do offer free wifi.

Amazon little ice cream shop with surprisingly good food. Everything in life is a bit more expensive these days, so expect around $8 per person for a wrap or burger, but you can still grab a baby cone or cup for under $3 and get a good amount of great ice cream.

Nice place in the middle of a small Indiana town. Very clean inside and out and extremely polite staff. Moderate, but reasonable prices and a wide variety of flavors...probably about 24 different hand dipped flavors. Highly recommended for couples and families.

We came for dinner and all the tables were super messy. They had no napkins to wipe them off either. Every time I come here they are always out of potatoes. Tonight they were also out of chicken and soft serve. Not worth it.

Good ice cream. Interesting, tasty flavors. Several of their flavors as well as their waffle bowls (which is a cardboard cup bowl with a bent sheet of waffle cone) are said to be made in-house which is rare. It seemed a bit overpriced, although I must admit that the scoops are big.

The Barking Cow is a friendly, family owned business in the small town of Gaston. Many of the flavor options available are recipes created here and can vary from day to day. Service is excellent and ice cream is excellent. Well worth the drive from anywhere.

The spicy dogs are down right delicious, these dirty little dogs will fill you up and tickle your tastebuds leaving you wanting another! The ice cream is also good

Pumpkin pie ice cream is great, but the lemon was horrible! After we purchase we asked if we could have an exchange because it's so sour. The girls said it's supposed to be because it's a sorbet. No where was it advertised as anything besides ice cream. The girls were downright rude. Won't be coming back.

Great food and ice cream. They have homemade flavors that are great, good atmosphere displaying local celebrities and memorabilia. They also put on great events for the small town of Gaston.

Not a destination, but when we are in or near Gaston, Indiana.. we will definitely stop in again. Nice variety of salad, wraps, and sandwiches, plus ice cream (we had shakes). The only problem we had was that the straws they have are MUCH too thin for the thickness of the shakes. We also had footlong Coney dogs, which were good, and sauced so generously that we needed knife and fork to eat them.
