The biggest and nastiest disgrace to the neighborhood. The sad part is they closed and remodeled this location less than 2 months ago.The floors are nasty, the shelves were nasty and there SOOOO MUCH STUFF blocking the aisles. This location should be cited because this poses a dangerous situation if there's any emergency. The community deserves better and the store manager should be ASHAMED!!!The left side of the store is Dollar Tree and the right side is Family Dollar.

If I could, I'd rate this store a NEGATIVE 5! Terribly unorganized. The staff couldn't be any more unhelpful and RUDE!! Literally, as I was checking out, the cashier was on the phone the ENTIRE time, having a heated conversation with whoever they were talking to. I don't think the cashier said a single word to me, as they were MUCH too involved in their conversation and couldn't care less about the customer right in front of them. The workers were having LOUD inappropriate conversation across the entire store.. yelling profanities, even while young children were present. Absolutely lacking on customer service on every level possible. If it weren't for the undependable hours the Dollar General keeps, I'd NEVER return to this establishment. Its literally a nightmare every time I go into that place!!

Corporate needs to check out this store because this store used to be so nice but now the management acts worse than the workers at the store telling people she's going to shoot them and all types of ignorant behaviors going on in the store the store does not stay clean or organized. And some people should not be intimidated to going to the store because of management.

The only family Dollar that closes at 9:00 p.m. when the website clearly shows 10:00 p.m. and the only thing the manager has to say about it is that the customers make her mad so she's closing early. if I could give this a zero star review I would.

Don’t waste your time here!! This is the third time now I’ve walked out of here n my money is no good! I came here before an Apple Pay is not working, Ive came here before and the credit card machine doesn’t work now I come here with a $50 bill spending over $10 and they tell me they don’t have change for it if you don’t have change for a $50 bill and giving someone under $40 back you shouldn’t even be open I wonder if Family Dollar knows you’re losing them money because this is costing them business it’s a lose lose coming here so if you want to waste your time and have to have a 50-50 chance that you’re not even gonna be able to buy anything here, Good luck!!!!

What is wrong with these places, they pick and choose when they want to take Apple Pay and when they want to give cash back. Walked in there the cashier was sitting in a lawn chair behind the register. It’s always nasty and dirty.I’m sick of places like family dollar and all these other large chains allowing their stores to look like trash just because they in the hood. Where is the district manager where is the people who is in charge this is horrible. Do better.

Friendly staff, and most products are on the shelf. Some shelves are disorganized, but they do a high volume of business, especially for the amount of staff that is on duty. 5 stars to the employees.

I'll tell you when I come to stores in the black community It's sad what they did to the Miller Indiana Dollar store slash family Dollar this gotta be the worst Dollar store / family Dollar I ever seen in my life nothing's in order can't find everything you looking for what was they thinking... the worker spend more time looking at you like you going to steal something instead of stocking alise I observe them selling tobacco without even asking for ID so if you missing your credit card oh well you know the rest😢😳

I like the convenience of the location but I drive right past it most of the time and go to Dollar General when I see all the homeless people outside. It's a shame I can't stop there because there are people out there begging for money all the time!! I'm an elderly woman and they can be very intimidating. The few times I do get to shop there the store is always a mess. There are always boxes in the aisles and employees are very rude. I like the Family Dollar brand products and it's sad I can't shop at my neighborhood store!

Friendly & helpful staff. Great sale & clearance items. I love that they carry the delicious P.F. Changs Beef & Broccoli & Dumplings in the freezer section. They sell Shamrock Farms half & half & at $3.50 for a huge bottle, it's both a great price & delicious!!

This store is a mess. This is not the first time I have encountered this issue at this store. I realize shipments need to be put away. However, why are you doing it during the day when your extremely busy. There were boxes and carts in almost every aisle. I could not get to half the things I wanted to purchase. I ended up leaving with only 2 things on my list and went to Dollar General. This should be done before or after open store hours. Very disappointing. Also the store is dirty. I will not be shopping here again

Waited 10 minutes in line to be told they no longer participate in cash app... what a waste of my time. And no explanation or even empathy to the fact i wasted my time and gas to travel somewhere that doesnt offer whats advertised. Apparently its several locations but offered no advice where to go instead that could/would take it. Attendant coulda cared less was ready for next customer within seconds of speaking smdh no/poor customer service i.m.o.

Been coming here almost 2 years and seen employees come and go. I pay attention to their attitudes and most are nice with the exception of the older woman that works there. She provides the same excellent customer service all the time. There's an African American girl that works nights. She don't know whether to be nice or evil. That's bipolar service and she needs to decide which way to go. Its enough confusion with the redecorating in the store without dealing with that disrespect. Thanks excellent customer service woman for being there so I could step right into your line!

My opinion is need to hire a midnight shift to stock, and clean, and police patrol to be safe. Otherwise. Price has gone up in system but not on certain shelves, so employees have to dispute about the price, but that's not their fault.

The store is always cluttered and messy. There are days when the line is almost out the door because they only have one register open despite other workers just walking around or actually standing behind a register area but not doing anything. The debit machine is always going down. The workers are clearly flustered but don't know how to hide their attitudes. There are never any bags for customers to have their products put in so we have to walk to our cars with a big garbage bag of stuff. This location is an overall dump and should just be closed down or handed over to management that actually cares. I will drive to Lake Station to go to family dollar before I ever set foot in this one again.

The staff could barely do their job, it appeared that extra coupons were just to hard to figure out! Stood there in a line around the corner for 30 mins. I'm disabled and was in much pain because I usually use a cart to lean in , but there's never one available in this store..... I was generous with the 3 stars!

Horrible night manager , I had a small back pack I keep on my back when I get off work and I came to grab a few things then the manager proceeds to yell throughout the store she tired of mfs coming in there to steal and from now on she’s checking bags, but there were people before me who left and also had a bag she singled me out bc I was Hispanic told me to take it back to lake station EXTREMELY RACISTS . Also she checked my bag and I didn’t steal I paid for my products

Terrible.. Nice csr's, but terrible organization, absolutely no sense of urgency, cleanliness and you are always needing to navigate carts full of boxes. I have been coming here after work weekly for over a year straight. These issues are absolutely consistent.

Dear Family Dollar: your store manager did the right thing by asking that woman to remove her mask before entering the store. I understand there are religious freedom but those people, yes im talking about islamic that cover your face, you guys have to put yourself in that situation, what if I come into your house cover like that, do you know what i look like underneath? I could be innocent but hey i also could be a robber or a murder or i could have a gun underneath...you see...so ya need to remove ya mask before enter Americans establishment, period.

Nice workers, found most of my items needed for the pandemic!! Wipes especially dollar ones in the pack and the tub! Toilet paper and grocery item! Very appreciated in the miller area!
