Went to the Fortville location at noon, they had a sign on the door saying, Closed until 1:30. This location is terrible, they can not keep help.

Shelves can't seem to be stocked. They are either empty or there are carts filled with stock all over the store making it difficult to get around the store. Fire Marshall needs to stop in and see this.

This is for management. Please hire people that is good at customer service and paying attention to their job duties. Your store has hired a red / burgundy hair female that will leave the cash register while customers are standing in line. She will talk her personal buisness with customers while the line is backed up as well as flirting and making remarks to married men. What happened to good customer service and professionalism. We have experienced this behavior from her on several occasions please train her better.

I am so disgusted and sick I have been noticing that there are several expired items that happen to be on the shelves and this is one. All I am asking is for the manager to please reimburse me for all the snacks I have ever bought or just please go through and get rid of all expired items. There are alot of us that pay full attention to what we are spending our hard earned dollars on. This makes me very sad.

Carries array of different items. Lots of great prices on cleaning supplies. Clothing is NOT well organized, have to root thru entire racks as not on racks by size. Staff could be a bit more helpful. Usually lots of boxes sitting in the isles waiting to be stocked on the shelves.

Staff are always kind and helpful, almost always has whatever we need, right by the CSX mainline if you're a railfan like myself, and even carries some items other stores don't, which were more than grateful for! All in all a lovely place, can't think of a bad experience I've had there.

Just remodeled a bit and it looks way better. More options on food items. There is a secret society of parking lot Vienna Sausage eaters here. I've been eating them here for years because my wife cannot stand the smell. I thought I was the only one until I saw a lady doing the same thing. If you see a can on the ground you know one of us has been here.

Dirty, dingy store. Clearance clothing racks are unorganized & sitting on top of each other. Shelves sit empty, while product sits in unopened boxes on carts. Customer service is terrible. I could go on & on about how bad the whole experience is, but it probably won't do any good. My children hate to go in the store, due to the gross looks & empty shelves. They prefer Goodwill over DG.

This is the standard dollar store. The name is quiet specific as everything is generally a dollar. Everything inside is exactly as you would expect. Some isles are being stocked while others are keeping up with the next holiday. Think Walmart but with more plastic and a smaller building.

It's convenient, especially for Fortville where the nearest big box store is 15 minutes away. You pay a bit more for the convenience, but they have a wide variety of items from clothing, food, household goods, dvds, electronics, games, etc. Store usually looks a bit messy, but I'm not shopping there and expecting Macy's. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

Exceptional Customer service especially From this store’s Management Personnel! Im A frequent shopper almost daily, an what the Management team has done to this store with making it a COMPLETE TURN-AROUND STORE from product just NOT being put out, being A Dirty store an highly over Cluttered with useless items an clothing, also with BAD service and with a high employee turnover rate, to now almost 1-Yr later is TRULEY AMAZING TO SEE, with 2- brand new Management people (1-male/1-Female from the Broadway DG-store in Anderson IN), HAVE TAKEN THIS DUMP OF A OLD STORE AN GIVEN IT BACK, IT’s LIFE AGAIN, a old store will always be considered “dirty” just cause it’s old looking, it is what it is, but these 2-certain management people have DONE WONDERS IN THIS FORTVILLE DG-STORE LOCATION, with adjusting its store Inventory, putting out the actual stock when it comes in, and also see to it that it’s store is re-stocked BY ALL EMPLOYEE’s not just Mgr’s, They have also hired brand new team-members, with the exception of 1to 2 other remarkable employee Like Miss Diana who decided to stay with this Same Dg store an explore all the NEW opportunities WITH this already professional crew!! It’s amazing what happens to a place of Business when you have the correct management Authority figures and personnel all working together, it truly doses ALL comE together so nicely as originally planned!!! I stopped in the Fortville location at 10 minutes til closing for 3 items. As soon as a got in the door a middle aged woman wirh glasses and a ponytail started following me around screaming that I needed to get out because they were closing soon. She kept screaming at me the entire time. If I didn't need food for my pets I would have just dropped the stuff on the floor and left. This was as rude as I have ever been treated anywhere. She should be fired!

I usually am pleased with my experience, but I don't expect much--Iit's Dollar General, after all, not Saks . . . But late last evening, on my way home from work, I needed to get some Nyquil. I had an terrible sinus headache, chills, nose wouldn't stop--you know what it's like. Now, I wanted to support my local Dollar General--after all, they do make their money by volume not percent markup--so I passed 6 other stores where I could have gotten the medicine. I was pretty sure I could make it to Fortville before 10--and I did. It was about 9:52 when I pulled into their parking lot. I got out, walked to the door, pulled on it, and it wouldn't open! I checked the closing time on the door to see if it had changed; it hadn't. The lady at the cash register just mouthed, "We're closed." I was not happy! I pulled out my phone to check the time: 9:55. I held it up to the door to show it to her--no real response. Now I was really upset, but had no choice but to return to my Jeep & decide whether I would drive back to another store to get the Nyquil. Just then, another lady came to the door. I was foolish enough to suppose for a moment that she would let me in, but no. She just said, "Our clocks are different than yours." REALLY?! You don't have electronic clocks on your registers or computers that are connected to the internet with the correct time??? Disgusted, I drove to CVS in McCordsville, but just as I pulled into my parking spot, the lights went off. They closed at 10--really. I didn't get home with my Nyquil from Walmart until 10:35, and Dollar General in Fortville has lost my loyalty!

Always out of stock on popular items at this store. But Oaklandon and Lawrence never seem to have this problem. Sad cause I work in Fortville. Goibg to start looking to shop at Family Dollar or somewhere that cares about small town life...

Cashier needs customer service training. He or she needs to be polite and porfessional. They do need training in how to talk to customer. If they can not provide a service correctly, they need to change thier job.

I was really impressed with this DG. Everything was in stock. The store was neat, clean, and spacious. It is worthwhile to drive a little extra to shop at this location.

This place has really gone down hill. Unorganized and not very clean. It just looked cluttered. Almost walked out after waiting 10 minutes at an empty checkout register.
