I purchased my betta fish from this location. The staff is very helpful and able to answer any questions I may have. They take good care of their bettas compared to Petsmart, Meijer and Petco. Honestly all the fish in general are all taken care of. Very clean tanks. Every time I look they have a very good selection of all the fish. The prices are cheap as well (around $10 for a male betta). They have many tank decorations to choose from as well! They have lasted a really long time with no fading or peeling. Great prices and not overpriced like the other stores. I have never had a problem with any fish purchases and would strongly recommend adopting a fish from here!Update: Got a 2nd betta from this location, great experience once again! (The video is the betta I ended up picking out) The fish care workers were really nice the entire time. My fish is very healthy, eating well and have had him for about a month now and is thriving in his 20 gallon tank. Thanks again Uncle Bills for the great experience! I'll be back!

I have become pretty stingy with my 5 stars because, well let’s be honest, service has declined pretty much everywhere recently. Not here! The moment you walk through the door, you’re greeted with a smile and a welcome from whomever is working the register. The staff is super attentive, I don’t remember ever having to ask for help, the staff finds you and makes sure you’re finding everything you need. The prices are pretty evenly matched compared to other pet stores but blows the other stores’ customer service out of the water. Just bought my baby bearded dragon from them and he’s flippin’ perfect!!!!!!!

We visited tonight and I was appalled to find the updated dog enclosures to be even smaller than previous visits. The prices of all the pets were grossly over inflated and most of the animals looked miserable due to the small spaces. One bird was 950 dollars; it had an amazing personality but it looked very ill and poorly cared for. Please care for your pets better they deserve better care and treatment! UPDATE: Go ahead and respond... Does not change what I said and they are not... I noticed that you didn't reference the bird that costs $50. More than that. Another pet store that I just left is clearly ill

This won't be a good review. I was there yesterday and even though they had lots of dogs a few cats to see, they all were in bad shape. I took one dog out to play with and it smelled so bad I had to put it back. The dogs all looked so sad and depressed. I even saw some shaking. They want high dollar for the dogs and cats but they seem to neglect them. Don't take my word for it you'll see it when you show up there. I have noticed this pattern with their other stores also. The animals are not taken care of it seems. The animal shelter's do a better job. I felt bad seeing and smelling these poor animals with high price tags over there heads stuck in small enclosures. This is a pattern for these stores. Feel sorry for them. Wish I could save them all. Got a response from Uncle Bill's about my review, disappointed because I feel nothing will change. I have no idea why they wouldn't. This is a pattern with the Uncle Bill's I've been in. Your worst inmates are treated better. They get bathes and have fresh air. Bigger cells. The prices they have on these pets are staggering. My wife was told how much a puppy was and she almost fell over. These pets are starving for attention, are in need of care. Not getting it there for sure. Some of you have been at Uncle Bill's you know what I'm saying is spot on and the ones who haven't should go and check it out. It's sad. Next time I'll take pics of it all. One of the girls told me the pets are just tired is why you get no response from them. I believe it's because they are weak and depressed.

Stopped by today, looking for a single fish. Walked around for 15-20 minutes, observing the nastiest tanks I had ever seen. Most of which you could hardly see into. Water all over many places of the floor. Not a single employee greeted me, or asked if I needed assistance. The ONE employee working the aquariums, didn't even acknowledge I was there, as he and a customer talked, using very vulgar language. I expected better from a pet store charging $50+ for a fish, and several thousand for the other animals they have there. I will not be returning.

My kids and I went in to purchase some pet rats. We accidentally got a male and female and don't want a litter. We brought back one to swap out and they made it simple for us. Uncle Bill's Pet Center is clean and convenient with a good selection of pets and supplies. We'll be back again! Thanks

I love coming here to get my reptile supplies and I've gotten four of my snakes from here. However, it seems like the fish and reptile department has been seriously understaffed for the past few months which I totally get because it can be hard for a retail store to keep an ideal staff size. The problem comes from my visit from a week ago. I got a little ball python that I looked over before purchasing and he looked fine overall. He looked like he was getting ready to shed (I could see a bit of blue on his eyes) but what I didn't notice was that his nose was bloody and damaged. It was hard to closely examine his face while I was there due to him being curled up, hence why the only thing I noticed was the blue on his eyes. Around his nose, as the picture shows, is what appears to be the start of shedding, but it's not coming off clean and he's still struggling with it a week later. Additionally, what's harder to see in this picture is a small bit of damage to his nose that I believe was possibly caused by a mouse fighting back while feeding. Overall, pleasant experience, but animal care and monitoring needs to be improved, at least with the reptiles.

We bought 4 fish from here and 3 out of the 4 are dead already within a week of buying them. I have a 60 gal aquarium and they were fed and it was well taken care of. Very disappointed.

I just wanted to get on here and say how appreciate I am to the Uncle Bills staff in Fort Wayne! They are knowledgeable, kind, and attentive. They give advice based on needs even if it leads to me not buying anything. Got a referral to a vet clinic open on Saturdays! I’m there at least 1-3 times a month. Great job!

We go in sometimes just to play with the puppies and always learn something new about a breed or one of the other animals they have from the kind and knowledgeable staff. They have good prices on quality pet supplies. Usually leave with a treat or toy for our dog (used to get other items for the tortoise too) and hope that the animals find good homes too.

One of the biggest pet stores I’ve been to and the most variety of pets I’ve ever seen. They everything from tarantulas, fish, reptiles, to cats, dogs, ferrets, hedgehogs, rabbits and more! All of the employees were so helpful and even loved showing pictures of their pets and educating me on certain questions I had about species I know little about. If you’re in Fort Wayne, you should make a stop

I don't go for the puppies but I do go for the food!🐛🐁🐟 I mean, my babies gotta eat! 😁 I love the variety of different fish they have.Can't wait to get my Koi pond going!! They will most definitely be my one stop shop!Let's just try to keep all the birds contained next time. 😂 Watching you guys try to catch one with a fish net attached to a broom handle or 2 was quite the show! The staff is always so friendly, the prices are great. I visit once a week and have never found a pet store that comes close to this store! I have 6 animals from here and they are all beautiful, healthy, well tempered. The staff is so smart and helped suggest the best diet and habitat for my animals, I don't trust any other store with my needs.

Great pet store that offers all I need for my various critters. My only critique for the store itself is the carpeting. Carpeting in a pet store is a bad idea!They do sell dogs and cats, which is also a no-no. I haven't researched how they source these animals, but I hope it goes out of fashion soon.Update: They had carpeting when I originally wrote the review a couple year ago.

Waited 45 minutes for help while 2 employees were explaining the same thing to 1 customer. Finally got help but had possibly the worst experience with that employee. On top of that we were talked to like we were children even though we established we have tons of experience with said animal. Will not be returning after today's visit
