The aquarium person was so very helpful with filters, an air stone kit and chemicals for our aquariums. He was very knowledgable and pleasant. There must be a new manager because we haven't seen the middle aged woman that used to work there who was very ill mannered and just rude. They have a nice crew there now and we have been shopping there more than other stores. Nice improvement.

Your employees are top notch and well suited to their jobs in a pet store. They are always very friendly, answer my questions, and seem to truly love pets and pet owners. The only employee I interacted with on 3/2124 was the person who checked me out at the cash register. We chatted about my purchase (a male Double Tailed Beta fish that looks just like a rose petal). We chatted about the sad state of the way Betas are kept in pet stores and how SOMETHING needs to be improved with this. I made a point of selecting a Beta that seemed healthy and strong, but not all the Betas in your store were healthy and strong. In fact, I let her know that there was a dead one among the others. Petco still gets a "10" from me though because this "Beta problem" seems to be an industry wide problem. Perhaps Petco can join me in trying to get something done about this. I am going to speak to my legislative representative.I have never had any fish from Petco die on me prematurely and I have never bought a plant from Petco that was riddled with snails.I got my cat "chipped" at Petco on one of the monthly vet visits there. This was quite convenient, but what is it? Just one half-day per month? Because I like Petco, I'd like to see the vet service increased to maybe twice per month.

I went in to buy fish . The employee was very rude and when I told her I planned to quarantine my fish she told me that the practice was outdated and cruel in front of my 7 year old . I drove an hour one way to your store and will never shop there again . I suggest if you're going to have "screening questions" you inform your employees of proper animal care AND proper customer service because I am appalled at the way I was spoken to in front of other customers and my child . Furthermore if anyone asks me in the future for recommendations I will recommend to steer clear of fort wayne petco. In my 30+ years of fish keeping I have never felt more disrespected or talked down to by an employee who couldn't answer basic questions herself

Picked out a Deta fish for my classroom. They were so helpful in how to set up the tank and what I needed. They also have the best selection of betas and look the healthiest. Went to three stores before them. The beta re a little more in price but worth it!!

I took my pooch to get her nails done. I did not have a reservation, so I had to wait and I had an opportunity to watch the two groomers (a lady w gorgeous purple hair) and her assistant, a nice young man w shoulder length brown hair and lots of cool tattoos. I only mention their appearance to identify them, because I saw them treat "Duchess" their Chihuahua client with so much care, consideration and professional patience, they really deserve a special mention. I will be bringing my Chihuahua baby to them from now on, they did a beautiful job clipping her nails and I can rest assured she will be treated well. Highly impressed.

Adopted a gorgeous Lab puppy from Humane Fort Wayne at an adoption event. Word to the wise, get there early for the event if you want first pick of adoption. There was a line wrapped around the store and we got there an hour and a half before the adoption event started.Got a few things for our girl from PetCo and they were great. I didn't know they offered as many services as they do!We will definitely be back.

This is my go-to location for cat food among other accessories! If you're not looking to go to Jefferson Pointe or up Lima road to a PetSmart you should stop here

I've taken my corgi here for training since he was 10weeks old and he absolutely loves the staff! Every week on training days he gets so excited to see everyone! Mo is such a great trainer and has helped us so much! I highly recommend going here and taking her training classes! They have such a great variety of products! Every week my boyfriend has to pull me out of the dog toys and clothes isles because my pup is going to eventually have more clothes than I do lol

I get there's alot of hate towards pet stores now and days but everything I go in the Manger is always there and somehow is always the one to help me and the other staff are also very knowledgeable in their animals

Beta fish were dead sitting on the shelf and then the lady working as manager told me I wasn't aloud to buy fish because I need to let the water sit for 3 days and I couldn't have more than one in a 3 gallon tank

They are the only store that carries Stella's and chewys cat chick chicken freeze-dried morsels and have a variety of treats for dogs on the buffet.

I don’t ever leave reviews, but after talking with Hannah, the aquatic specialist, I definitely felt the need to. I was in the process of moving, and my fish tank fell apart, but I managed to save my fish and put them in a baggy. I went to Petco to purchase a new tank, but I am new to having fish and had no idea how to start a tank from scratch, what’s needed, etc. Hannah answered all of my questions confidently and was a very fun and nice person to meet. Hannah offered to put my fish I had already in a new bag so my move was much easier and much safer for them. Hannah was great and definitely made this process much less stressful!

I took my new fur baby, Charlie. The staff was extremely welcoming of him and showed him lots of love. I went to grab melatonin for him at night and well, he wouldn't let go of a toy that is now his favorite toy. Great experience.

Great friendly staff, they are always willing to answer questions I have about products. They know our pets mean everything to us and they make you feel like they care just as much! I asked if I tried a new food and my pet would not eat the new flavor, they will let me return within 30 days even if its open. That is such a great policy and gives me peace of mind when searching for the perfect dry food.

They are a very knowledgeable staff that is very loving to all pets that come in and will walk you to what you are looking for and will answer all questions you have to there best ability. I have my German shepherd inrolled in the training classes they provided. Mo the trainner is very passionate about what she does and you can see that in her work I would definitely recommend them. The grooming staff in the store is very good group of people they always try to get you in if they can and every time I get her back she looks beautiful. They take about 1 1/2 to 2 hours but there is plenty to do around there so time goes by fast.

They were running out of frozen feeders for my snake. Other than that I enjoyed coming. The place could definitely be cleaned and maintained a little better. I always like looking at the clearance. But it's it's in a bad spot, and it was over flowing. There was stuff all sound the floor. And they can't blame it on customers because it's looked like that everytime I've come in. I could understand if it happens every now and then, but if it's like that everytime than cleanliness might be an issue. Maybe the store needs more help.

I want to start with Austin is amazing, we usually see her but she was not there this day.Our situation with Tiamnvra and Megan not so much. Called Petco and did a formal complaint because of the situation. Case number 06879280 and was told we would have follow up. That was over 3 weeks ago and no follow up.I only gave two stars because of how wonderful Austin is if it was just reflecting the above situation I would have given zero stars. I do not think either of those people are suitable or trained well enough to work with animals. We will not be going back to this Petco again.
