Absolutely terrible service. Prescriptions are started until the customer comes to pick them up or calls in ahead of time which you are required to do according to the pharmacist. It takes DAYS to get approval for anything. Unlike just about any other Pharmacy Meijer will not put you on a waitlist when something is out of stock. Go anywhere else.

I am a paid caregiver for freedomcare of Indiana.I pick up medications for our elderly. Today I call and make sure all of my patience meds would be ready, especially his pain meds.They said I will double check and she tells me all the meds will be ready at eleven ish..I get there a little after 12:00pm and they say one can't be filled till tomorrow I only get paid one hour a day to do this for him.. Tomorrow I have to go back on my time for free..

After reading a lot of the reviews, I feel the need to update this to include some things:● I have NEVER had anyone be rude to me here. I have NEVER had someone hang up on me. I haven't even had to wait a long time for an answer to my call, and when they answered they went above and beyond to answer unusual questions about generic medications, such as which companies they currently fill their medications from and if it changes, if they're all the same at every location, etc. Maybe you're calling the store instead of the pharmacy and getting transferred or something? But everyone here has always been very polite to me in the entire store, so I'm not sure.• I have NEVER experienced an uncaring attitude from any employee. If you show up when any business is trying to close, they're likely to turn you away. They need to close up and do their job, plus, they'd like to get home, too.• The Pharmacy doesn't always pick when they can get medications, and since Covid, it's become common for pharmacies not to have the medications they need (and for many other places to use the exact same reason for why they can't get things in stock!) However, I will say, I have never been unable to fill my medication here, and for a LONG TIME there have been MANY issues for people trying to fill ADHD prescriptions. They're out everywhere. With that said, I have only EVER done in the entire 10+ years going here, and for the past 8+ going ONLY here, ONE time had to go somewhere else for my medication. I believe the reason was actually that I was allergic to the beans they carried, too, so most people wouldn't even have noticed! They still would've had your medication!I have occasionally missed the text telling me it WASN'T ready that comes AFTER the one saying it is.. and yes, that is very frustrating. I drive almost 10 miles to this location, so it's a bit irritating some days, but that is ultimately MY OWN FAULT and i can't take that out on the pharmacy because I didn't pay attention. Sorry, I'm not giving you that pity party. Pay more attention. That said, they could change it so that the system doesn't tell us it's done right before correcting to say it's not done, but in all honesty, most of the time I miss that text it's because I actually just ASSUMED it would be there at the predicted time and never even got the confirmation text that it was done, i just didn't check at all. So, again, my own fault.The ONLY thing that this pharmacy has ever done that I can throw stones at... they once stapled my ID to my prescription bag, and i ended up having to replace it (largely to being slightly obsessive and bothered excessively by it, not because they badly damaged it).I'm allergic to the fillers in a lot of generic medications. I'm not sure which fillers yet, as we're still narrowing that down, but it's a long process.So, in the meantime, just going with places that tend to use higher quality medications seems to be the best fix.This is one of the only places where I can get generic medications that I'm not allergic to every single brand they carry.I feel they carry better quality generic medications than some other places, but that's just personal opinion as of now, I have nothing to base that on yet!Although, I'll definitely update this in the future if I DO ever find proof of that!

Multiple times I have gone to pick up medication that the app says is ready only to be told it’s not even in stock. When I tried to speak with the staff about it they completely dismissed my concerns and were quite rude. Definitely switching pharmacies.

Used to like going here as it was convenient to get my meds while shopping. However after the events of the past few weeks I will not be returning. My son's doctor called in a new ADHD med which apparently is on backorder but they didn't deem it important to tell me despite me calling several times. So my 7 year old had to go without for a few weeks because the pharmacy didn't place an order because it is backorder. Oh and they never answer their phones and when you actually do get someone to answer the phone they are extremely rude and will hang up on you. I understand you are busy but the customer service is severely lacking. My youngest son just got antibiotics called in. I got a text saying it was ready then another saying they have a question and to call. So I do and after about 5 times of getting hung up on they inform me they don't have it and if I want it filled I will have to call somewhere else and hung up. I finally found a pharmacy that has it but now they won't answer their phone to get the script transferred so I'm sure my son will miss out on his med at the new location.

I would give less stars but one really bad experience can't be the basis of a review, before the 4 of July it would have been five star unfortunately someone left the drive thru with an automatic response when you pull up telling you "be with you in a moment" more or less. Found out it was a recording that had me waiting for 15 plus minutes when in fact they closed an hour earlier web site had no mention of this and received a text saying my medicine was ready. Not a good experience . The problem is being addressed and should be fixed soon after I informed them of it. Other than that have been great

I have to say that I really like the texting letting me know the status of my order. My last order was filled before I left the clinic! Drive-thru is a very nice addition. Thank you for your service! Ever since experiencing these upgrades I feel my concerns have been addressed; I used to get annoyed having to wait in the store and end up with a bigger bill, as happens with kids. No complaints now. The 1* review by Theron might be off base. I do have to say over the past 20 years I thought they've been very diligent on the phones. In any business you typically take people in person as a higher priority over some random caller on the phone.

Takes 2-3 days to get my son’s medication filled. End up calling only to be put on hold. Go in person and then ask if meds are ready, nope. Wait and wait…

Excellent! Ihad to call, prior to my Rx drop off, to get a couple of questions answered and Sarah was COMPLETELY helpful! Drop off was easy, pick up was easy AND medication was even ready when they said it woukd be (not usually the case with CVS). They also helped with discounted perscription cost since deductibles are so high. Thank you to all concerned in helping!

Outside of the convenience of being inside Meijer this pharmacy is the pits. I showed up at 5:53, they closed at 6:00, I was told to come back in the morning and they couldn’t help me until then. They literally had to count to 90 twice and wouldn’t do it.

They never order enough of my son medicine. Everytime I go to refill it I have to wait a day or 2. If I call to refill it early they wont so he has to go without for a day or two. This week I go in ask to have it refilled. The lady said once again they dont have it they have to order it and that it would be in the following day after 2. I call after work the next day and it didnt come in and it was past the time they do orders for delivery for that night. So it wouldnt be in until Thursday. I couldn't get it Thursday . Go in friday after work for the lady to tell my that they didnt have his medicine and that someone else must have came in and needed it and it was given to them. And that they wouldn't be able to get any until monday. Multiple days without it now. I'm done with this location.

It always amazes us how helpful the staff are there and want to ensure people are pleased. Though we have encountered errors with other pharmacies, that has never been the case with this pharmacy over the years. Excellent!

Terrible service! I called after having bronchitis for 5 days to see if they had a 4 oz bottle of cheratussin available for purchase and the rude technician said it requires a prescription which I know, being a licensed indiana pharmacist, is a lie! When I told him the actual law he cut me off and put me on hold for the pharmacist, then came back on and said try Michigan and hung up on me! Time to retrain your staff Meijer....On both law and phone etiquette.

Theron Evan Wilson, for being a "Licensed Indiana pharmacist" you don't know much. Codeine is a narcotic. It is in cheratussin. All narcotics require a prescription in the state of Indiana. Always have. Plus with this opioid problem going on, restrictions and regulations are even more strict. This pharmacy is one of the best in Fort Wayne, Indiana. They have gone above and beyond numerous times for their patients and customers. They also have a drive-thru now which is awesome!

This is NOT a CVS location, it is a Meijer. If I wanted a Meijer location, I would have asked for one.
