The staff at Flying Colors are kind, helpful, and made me and my dog feel right at home. They are great listeners. I've been on the fence about e-collar training for a long time, but got desperate after trying other training methods first. The Flying Colors course helped my dog understand e-collar communication, and while the e-collar isn't my favorite form of training, it is working for my dog. She is strong-willed and has a mind of her own. I've been impressed by the results and we've only just begun the post-course reinforcement period! Even my neighbors have commented on my dog's improved manners. All that's included in the Flying Colors Rock Star program is well worth the cost. They build in field trips and other real-world levels of distraction during training. This sets them apart. And again - my dog and I love the staff. That's the most important thing!

Flying Colors has help transform my rescue dog. He was anxious all the time and had a lot of behavioral issues when I got him. The staff is knowledgeable, kind, and truly cares about helping you and your dog! They will work with you on specific issues that you are having with your dog, even in a group setting. They are the best in Fort Wayne!

This place is fantastic. We have a German shepherd that was terrified of people and dogs. She would get her hackles up and scare people. We couldn't even walk her in public. We had a trainer recommended by the spca and had her come over. She couldn't interact with the dog whatsoever and recommended a dog psychologist in indy. No way were we going to do that. We took our dog to flying colors to see if they could help and boy did they! Casey (sp?) was assigned to us and we started with 1 on 1 training with her. 4 sessions followed by a home visit. Moon (our dog) graduated from that and was able to take group classes. She is now even able to take food from strangers. We can also have friends come to our house. If you are at your wits end and think your only option is to put the dog down, PLEASE try flying colors. They saved our family.

We are so thankful that we decided to put our Sadie in the Rock Star program at Flying Colors. My husband was about to throw in the towel and wasn’t liking our puppy very much. Since going through the training program, we are ALL so happy together. The structure of the program was just what we needed. The staff are loving and kind with the dogs but also train them to obey well. I was worried the discipline might stifle our pup’s sweet disposition. Just the opposite— she’s even sweeter now that she knows what’s expected of her. The follow-up classes are super helpful and a key part of the training for all of us! We couldn’t recommend Flying Colors more highly and we look forward to continuing our Sadie’s training.

We have used Flying Colors for 3 of our dogs now. We start training with our 2 pitbulls about 10 years ago when one of them started having guarding and reactivity issues. We had 2 other trainers tell us to rehome her or put her down, before using Flying Colors. She is now 13 years old that enjoys snuggles on the couch with her 15 year old sister and now her 7 month old Rottweiler brother, who is currently enrolled in their Rock Star program. I love being able to take my dogs out in public and they listen to me especially the puppy since he goes to work with me and frequents many stores. The staff is kind, knowledgeable and have helped me work through any snags with behaviors I need corrected. I would give 10 stars if I could.

I did the puppy preschool and the rock star program with my puppy Riley. Riley was a whole new dog even after one day of the rock star program. She follows commands better, is easier to walk, and is all around more pleasant to be around. Everyone at Flying Colors has been very friendly and patient with teaching Riley and me. I would definitely recommend Flying Colors to anyone.

Super impressed. I called and asked a question about my new puppy and was given help immediately from Kaysie just out of the kindness of her heart. I wasn’t signed up for classes and have never taken classes from them. After such a good interaction and someone who genuinely just wanted to try and help my situation and give advice I signed up for their classes. Im excited to see what me and my puppy will learn next month!

I didn't find the training very helpful. For the puppy class, you watch videos online and then go to the class and have your dog do the tricks in the ring with everyone else and the trainers briefly walk around and interact. When I asked for other suggestions for getting my dog to stop biting I was asked if I watched the videos. I did but the 2 videos on biting weren't helpful. My dog wasn't responding to the techniques. The trainers had no other suggestions. It was also nearly impossible to hear them talk in the ring with dogs barking. They need microphones. I don't know if their one on one training would've been better but I don't recommend the puppy class. My dog already knew how to sit and lie down. I signed up to get help with the play biting and barking and they did not help with that. If you just want to watch videos and go once a week to socialize your dog then the puppy class might be for you.

We love Flying Colors! Our Labradoodle, Lucy, just completed her formal rock star program group classes after four months of training. We noticed a big difference right away when we got home from work after beginning the program. Lucy went from chaotically leaping at us to a more controlled "welcome home" :) During lake season, we are able to take Lucy off leash and trust that she'll stay with us and even does great placing with large crowds and lots of food around! Clarice, Mary, and the entire staff are wonderful and truly love what they do. We'd highly recommend for your dog training needs!

Staff are great! 9 times out 10, I suspect it is the owners that need the training in order to effectively communicate with their pet. With that being said, the staff deliver this training in such a manner your dog will want to engage and learn. It is an exciting process to bear witness to. Finneus is a different dog thanks to Flying Colors Canine Academy. He looks forward to class and I love learning how to teach our dog so he can be successful. It truly was the best decision we could have ever made for him. Thanks Flying Colors!!! ☺

I adopted a sweet cairn terrier, Tori, with hardly any manners or previous training. She was 6 years old at adoption, and I was 5 months pregnant. We were told she was “nippy” with kids, which is why she was surrendered. I soon learned how clueless with commands, she really was. I didn’t have much time to train her, so I look her to a Flying Colors Canine Academy for a free assessment and chose a package that sent her to school for a couple weeks and then training at home and in group classes for 6 months after. My son is now 1 year old, and Tori has been amazing with him! She listens well to me, and to this day we are baffled as to why someone would surrender such a sweet dog. She just needed some guidance with training and Flying Colors have been critical to our household safety.

Cyrus was a rescue wild puppy that did not listen. Cyrus participated in a 2wk program. He and I learned so much. This is a great place for basic, advanced and fun training classes. All the trainers are supportive and have been helpful throughout the process. Highly recommend.

I honestly could go on and on about how amazing Flying Colors is but I will attempt to sum it up. I brought my dog Ollie here. I was honestly so exhausted trying to deal with him. Anytime I would try to take him anywhere it would leave me being so frustrated and embarrassed with him. He would jump on people, get in their faces, drag me on the leash, and just be out of hand. I put him in the Rockstar program and within a few days I started seeing a difference in him. Now he has completed the program and he is now doing group classes. Now I enjoy long walks with him because he doesn't pull on the leash. Now I enjoy taking him with me and enjoy our time together. I continue to be amazed at him and how well he is progressing. *Disclosure* yes Flying Colors gives you and your doggie the training and tools but it is up to you to continue the training at home and with the wonderful trainers at flying colors. I promise it will be worth it! I can't thank them enough and I will continue his training with them! I'm excited for our future together!
