Amazing veterinarians, techs and support staff. Prices are reasonable. The business hours are the best and accommodates all kinds of pet owner work schedules so we don’t have to take time off work for our fur babies appointments. I brought my newly adopted dog to Hillside because when I needed to put my former senior dog to sleep as she rapidly declined, Veterinarian office at that time said they couldn’t accommodate us because they closed in a few hours. Hillside welcomed me with empathy and care and helped my former senior dog die in comfort and peace for which I’ll always be grateful

We love Dr Humbarger, our tech Kelsey and all of the staff at Hillside. We have been going there since 2013. Dr Humbarger started taking care of our Boxer and our Malshi in 2017. She is so sweet, caring and very knowledgeable. She takes her time and explains everything very thoroughly. We feel so lucky to have such a great Dr for our fur babies.

Dr. Bercz has done an amazing job when I have seen him for my cat, Neo. You can definitely tell that he cares about the animals he sees. He is kind, calm, and compassionate. I trust that my cat is in good hands with him.

Hillside Animal Clinic was there for my family and puppy when we were in a time of need. My personal vet was closed the day we found our injured puppy and Hillside was the 1st place I could think of to call. Not only did they take us in, they worked us in their already busy schedule that day. Dr. Joe made me feel at home immediately.With the severity of my puppies bone breaks, it’s awesome watching him make big strides day by day thanks to that staff.

We love Dr Allen, what more can I say? He knows when I call it’s something I can’t handle and pretty serious. He always is kind when we’ve had to euthanize one of our own, or one of the rescues horses.

Hillside got me in immediately and were very professional and patient with my crazy and barky young doxie. The vet was very upfront about costs and our different options, too, which I appreciated. I love that the office is open later through the week and on Saturdays in case one of my animals gets sick. We are switching to Hillside for our veterinary needs after a couple of excellent experiences with them and talking on the phone about how they would handle a couple of potential issues dogs sometimes have. We have seen two vets at this location and I liked them both and found them knowledgeable and kind. So far, so good!

I have been taking my dogs to Hillside Animal Clinic for almost 7 years. The doctors and staff are always warm and friendly and take time to not only speak with me, but to talk to my fur baby also. They encourage us to bring our babies by for a treat and some love on a day that they aren’t scheduled to help put them at ease with the environment. I have had a doc call me after hours to go over test results that they had already discussed with my husband because I wanted to ask questions. The docs are thorough and care. They are fabulous, and I can’t say enough great things about this practice!

I don’t think 5 stars justifies the appreciation we have for hillside. Our original vet almost let our sweet pup suffer for not doing an in depth exam. They performed life saving surgery for our sweet boy here at hillside, and we are forever grateful. Their passion, dedication, and swift thinking saved our dogs life.

I love this vet clinic! Staff is consistently thorough, compassionate and knowledgeable. I have had dogs terrified to visit the vet prior to visiting hillside. They no longer fight going in because the staff dote on them so much!

I absolutely love how interactive the staff is. They contacted me to let me know my dog was a little anxious, so they played soft music, gave him a soft blanket and gave playtime .They really do an amazing job! This is the only place I will leave my fur baby.

I love all the staff we have had! But we always request tech Noël, Dr. Bercz, or Dr. Schfiano. They always have our dogs best interest at heart + love them like we do! All three dogs are so different in personalities, but Hillside knows how to handle them. We do have a fearfully aggressive girl + they do everything they can to keep her comfortable + safe! Hillside also takes care of our goats, which we love! One vet for all our animals!

I can't tell you how much it means to have a vet come to your horse whenever they are needed. Dr. Joe is a true lifesaver! He's very compassionate, takes the time to explain everything, and he cares about your big fur babies!We appreciate you so much and hope you know it means the world to us!The office staff are absolute angels as well as being so down to earth and super friendly. I've never had a bad experience at this clinic. I love the ladies who check us out after our visits. They always make sure we are taken care of and I could sit and grab with them for hours but they are busy ladies and they deserve recognition for how awesome they always are.

Hillside was amazing when we came to them on our worst day after being attacked by two pitts. My dog Coco and I were both attacked. We called ahead, told them we were coming in, they took her straight back and started treating her immediately. They called about an hour later with an update, after I was taken to the hospital for treatment as well. They kept her for the night as I was in the hospital too. After she came home the next day, the staff were wonderful, calling and texting to see how we both were doing. I was very surprised how reasonable the bill for the emergency was. Coco continued treatment for another month for an ear infection she sustained from the attack. Every time we go in the staff is very welcoming and friendly. The hours of operation have also been great as I work nights. We will forever be using them for everything. They are amazing!!

I’m terrible with names, but the ladies that took care of my kitten “Mowie”went above and beyond. It was my first time taking a pet to the vet and they made sure to give a fully comprehensive and pleasant experience. I wish I could remember the ladies name I spent the most time with, but she truly went above and beyond for me. From explaining everything down to the dollar, to offering to help carry my pet to my car seeing as how I’m 34 weeks pregnant. She turned what could have been an uneasy and frustrating environment to one I comfortably look forward to appointment to appointment.

My fur baby is 16 years old. I took her to the vet last week because I thought it was the end. after bloodwork and and a wellness evaluation. The vet determined that she has arthritis and kidney disease. The vet was fabulous. She calmed my nerves and my fur babies nerves. They put her on a pain reliever and changed her food and she is feeling great. Hopping around like herself again.I thank God for Hillside Animal Clinic

I love it here. I have 2 dogs, one would be special needs, and from the moment we arrived the first time we came here the staff was AMAZING! They are caring and attentive to not only our pets, but they all listened to our questions and actually spent time answering them. I can not say enough good things about this place. Hillside is my favorite. Staff always makes me feel comfortable when they take my pups back for treatment. I love my dogs very much and knowing that the staff will not only take care of them but pet and love on them as well means a lot me. The doctors seem well versed in their trade. Hillside has a great facility. Wish they would start a 24/7 hospital. Louisville is a long travel in an emergency. Thanks a lot Hillside staff.

The amount of time you wait way outweighs the time you spend with anyone tending to your pet. I am always there at least 2-4 hrs everytime I'm there. If they keep your pet for any reason good luck in getting them released when you get there. Some of their staff are not very careful when handling your pet either. Unfortunately since I have two sick cats and they are the best in Southern Indiana to deal with such things. I never get out of there under $185.00 either. They are pricey.

Waited a month to get a evening appt for my special needs cats . Went for appt - , waited for about 30 mins -put in exam room. Vet tech came in - took history, Waited another hr, Vet tech came in to room stated an emergency was coming in - Doc would be tied up for quite a while......I understand -Emergencies happen.but why on earth are they making APPTS they cannot keep?WE left , without being seen by a vet ......we will be going somewhere else ,that makes an appt and you actually see a vet .

I feel like they did a wonderful job they took my dog in as an emergency case and other veterinarian hospitals for the attention my dog needed was going to start out $9,000 at some of them went from $5, 000 to 4,000$ now. This was without even seeing her witch is a Pitbull that's never been around others to much an very protective so she was not real happy but they took excellent care of her and come to find out she was not infected in her bloodstream but only caused it $400 and some odd dollars and I think that they are great and I highly recommend them they took her right back and get everything on her with good care one to five star rating I gave them a "" 10 "" ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and thank you guys that work there very much thanks from me Teresa Wheeler and my Baby Girl "Pandora" 🐾

Hillside is fantastic! They really care about your animals. I wouldn't send them anywhere else. I have a 12 year old red lab that wasn't acting herself and they were quick to act when I brought her in. Within an hour and a half after examination and xrays she was in surgery having her spleen removed. It had developed a large tumor and needed to come out. The staff were exceptional and my puppers was home by the next evening and back to her old self. They saved her life.My Puppers and I are forever grateful. Thank you so much!
