As a professional myself I spent a lot of time researching and asking for recommendations for a board and train program for our rambunctious GSP. Maddie and Abby were absolutely amazing. The constant updates they provided to make sure that, even though we were without our sweet puppy, it felt like we were there with him the whole time!! Our dog came back a completely different dog! So well behaved. Maddie and Abby spent time with us teaching us how to continue things beyond the time there. I can't say enough great things about how great they are. Not only do they have a customer for life, I will sing their praises to anyone who asks! Thanks again all!!

Our dog Reina has been through two training courses at this facility, and we loved it so much we now use it for daycare and boarding. The staff is extremely nice, helpful, and knowledgeable.In addition, Reina (the biggest critic) pulls us into the building every time we go there so we know she loves it there as well.

So thankful for Maddie and the rest of the training staff at Alpha K9 for their training of our new rescue dog Maverick. We opted for the 3 week board and train for him and Maddie worked with us to provide regular updates on his progress and to troubleshoot some roadblocks she encountered because of his strong fear of other dogs (shoutout to hot dogs for the assist!). Maddie spent over an hour with us when we picked Maverick up to make sure we both felt confident in using the commands with him that he had learned. We’ve been attending weekly classes with Maddie since Maverick has been home and she’s been great with providing quick tips and tricks for improving both his confidence and ours. Thank you so much Maddie for quickly identifying the help that Maverick so desperately needed!

We have had great experiences with Alpha K9! We recently had Maddie train our 1 year old Viszla in the 21 day board and train program. She took such great care of our puppy and we are very impressed with how much he learned in just a short time. She listened to what we wanted to work on, and kept us informed as the training went on with both notes and pictures. Highly recommend her and Alpha K9!

My Goldendoodle spent 21 days for puppy training. He had separation anxiety, wouldn’t walk on a leash and wouldn’t come when I called him. What a difference after his stay at AlphaK9.

My pup absolutely loved going to class!! He would always wag the closer we got to the facility! The trainers are very friendly and you can tell all the dogs love them. My dog's favorite part was play time before class. I wish they had open hours for play time/socializing for dogs and owners though, like a dog park. The large indoor facility is very nice in the winters and rainy days!

NEVER TAKE YOUR DOG TO THIS PLACE. Took my dog to alpha k9 to board for a few days. Once I came to pick up my dog I was told he was a little dirty and needed rinsed off. Got dog in car and smelled a terrible odor. Noticed my dog had pee and poop all over him. Pictures provided to show proof. Had to wash dog several times to get stains and smell out. It appears the dog was sitting in his pee and poop the entire time. Owner stated dog had accidents 4-5 times a day. Dog is potty trained and does not have accidents. Regardless my dog would never choose to lay in its own pee and poop unless it had no other choice. They stated he was in the largest room they had. Went to talk to owner who tried to bully me and refused to apologize as I would not shake his hand. Owner made excuses on why they would give someone a dog cover in pee and poop. We never received a call that our dog was causing an issue as they stated.

The first class our dog who was the smallest dog in the class was terrified when all of the other dogs had unleashed time and did not get away from the wall and the instructor had no words of help for us. Our dog growled and shaped at the other dogs- it was stressful. The second class he was put in a different time with smaller dogs and still snapped and growled at the other dogs again no assistance or guidance. I have not been I impressed with the leaders of the class.

We emailed and asked about training, were told we could join the class that had already started okay great sent all the forms ect. That night we got lost were a few minutes behind, get there and no one was in front office. No one picks up the phone. In the office we can see there is a large room with people and their dogs but there is not a single sign saying how to get there, we ended up leaving. I emailed them back and told the woman hey this is what happened and she never replied to apologize or explain where we were supposed to even go. She knew we would be brand new, wouldn’t they keep an eye out? Or share directions to this random location somewhere in their building?Very disappointed in their customer service. I had seen some people love them and others complain about the communication and now I can see why.Don’t bother coming here.

I've had experience with both the board and train and training classes and both have been fantastic! The positive reinforcement approach has done wonders for my young dog. You do have to put in most of the work yourself with training at home, bit the results are well worth it! Plus, I can tell that they sincerely love and care for my dog which is most important to me. :)

Alpha K9 has been such a wonderful experience for me and my dog. The staff is very kind and extremely well structured. They are always checking for our understanding and ask for our questions. My dog is a bit stubborn, but with their help he now knows his basic commands, and they even helped with other behavioral issues outside of what we learned in class. I cannot recommend this place enough. I'll be suggesting Alpha K9 to all my friends and family that need to put their dog into classes!

The trainers and facility are great!We take our Golden Retriever here for dock diving classes. We've enrolled him in it 5x now.Just started with my Siberian Husky in basic obedience classes. Lots of fun and learning for the pups.

We have booked grooming for our puppy 3 months back and we have called couple of times and make sure the appointment. The day comes and we are excited and to drop our puppy. During that time, Lori was asking vaccines record and we told that we have already sent it. They have asked us to resent it and we did. Then, they have found expired rabies vaccine.They have asked us to get the vaccines and we bounce back to our vet and get the appointment and once again come back to K9. But This time she said she can’t take it until after the 24 hours of the vaccine.All the rules are really good. But no information upfront to us and we were running around and no help.Very important reason to write this review was how they (Lori) treated us. Very rude tone. They upset our whole day. If they continue the same style, I’m sure they will losing their position just matter of competition.I don’t recommend this place .. not professional or nice humans for our animals

We absolutely love Alpha K9! A friend referred me, so my dog Sammy started with puppy daycare. We have done three classes and plan to continue our training and day care.I can see the difference in my dogs from taking the time to invest. The staff at Alpha is so helpful and has helped my "naughty" boxer become a well-behaved, loved dog by everyone in our building.Update 2/21..We are still an Alpha K9 advocate! My dog was invited to be part of their Dock and Boat Show in their demo due to his good behavior in training and I couldn't be prouder.My dog still attends daycare a few days a week and the way he cuddles up to the employees shows me how great they are. My dog gets excited when he sees both his human and dog friends from school.Alpha K9 is a life saver! We will continue to do classes and daycare. =)

If I could give them negative stars I would! The worst money I ever spent. We sent our dog there for 2 weeks they kept him 2 weeks and 3 days! I went to pick him up and he new a few commands as long as he was on a leash but off leash he didn’t follow any command and still doesn’t! We spent $1200 and nothing to show for it! I assumed that board and train meant they would get a lot of time with a trainer! We’ll come to find out they get an hour a day and not always with same trainer! I could have saved a lot of money and just had a trainer come to my house! He is no better now than when we first took him there!! Don’t waste your money on this place! You will be disappointed!!

We have used Alpha K9 University for training, boarding, and grooming. It is easy to see that the trainers love what they do.With boarding, we know that our fur babies will be well cared for while we are away.I cannot recommend them highly enough!

We brought our anxious dog in for an individual evaluation due to aggression towards new people. Within the complimentary one hour evaluation period the trainer taught us how to correct the problem and even offered suggestions for other issues we were having. The trainer was great to work with and seemed very knowledgeable. The whole experience was great and we will certainly be bringing him back for additional training classes. HIGHLY recommend this place.

This place is a must for any dog owner, especially if you have a high energy and aggressive dog! Our 3 year old Aussie mix had serious aggression towards other dogs and anxiety for years. Before Alpha K9 we tried other classes, trainers etc and nothing had worked, we as the owners weren't trained properly. She was there for the 2 week board and train, and now she is a whole new dog and we were given the tools to continue this training! Ryan wants to continue to work with us to ensure she doesn't regress, we finally are in the right direction! You can tell they genuinely care about the well-being of our dogs :) Thank you!

We took both of our rescue pups here for training and it was a great experience. Our shy and scared cocker spaniel was able to get her confidence back and both of our rescues did very well with the training provided. It was wonderful. We have also been visiting Laurie, the groomer for almost 10 years and there is no one else like her. She understands dogs personalities and makes them feel comfortable in her presence. We only trust Laurie to groom our dogs. She's the BEST! I would highly recommend the daycare as well. Our thunderstorm feared cocker spaniel loves coming to daycare. We know she is safe and that she is having a great time with her "friends."

Rescued 2 fur babies. They're very opposite personalities, and Alpha has helped to make them the best version of them they could be!!One was 3 and came with a lot of baggage from her past lives (given up 2x!). Her name is Spoon. Every single time we come up against something we don't know how to train through, the Alpha team is there to help us correct and balance the behavior. Spoon has gone on to graduate a K9 good citizen and our lives have been made so much better from Alpha's instruction.Our other dog Honey we rescued at just 8 weeks old. We took her to puppy class and kept going to more advanced classes. She's socialized and behaved and LOVES visiting her friends at Alpha!! Human and dog alike.Classes are always bringing new ideas and opportunities, boarding is amazing - we never worry about either dog!! Alpha is amazing.

If I could give them zero stars, I would. I 100% regret sending my 2 dogs there for the board and train program. The customer service (or lack there of) is terrible.When I dropped them off, I had a bunch of questions which were hardly answered. They would not let me tour the facility (and as a crazy dog mom, I want to see where my dog is staying and what they are doing). At drop off, the front desk people did not greet the dogs or even ask me which dog is which.I called later that night to see how the dogs were doing and to see if they settled it. They took my call and talked to me for 1 minute and told me that the dogs were fine (that was it).Day 2- I called at 6p to check in and see how it was going and what they dogs did all day. They informed me that they "hadn't gotten around to training them yet." Um, excuse me? What have they been doing all day then?!Day 3- I call and I was told the owner would call me back in an hour with no explanation. She never called so I had to call again. She told me I need to come get my dogs because "it was just not going to work." I asked why (3 different times) and she just told me again "it was just not going to work." She never told me what the problem was or if something had happened.Due to the lack of communication, I had no idea things were not going well despite me checking in every day; they never said ANYTHING.The ONLY plus side is that they did not charge me for this terrible experience.

A great place to learn how to communicate and live with your dogs according to doggie social-hierarchal behavior. Also a great place for them to safely learn how to swim. Bonus: if you're interested in learning the sport of dock diving, they are great instructors.

We are training our 6mo pup in the basic mannors puppy class and would highly recommend it to others. The dogs get to try swimming and play with the other dogs prior to class. The actual training is not bad about what I would expect from a puppy beginner group class.

2-Star for Puppy Classes with Rachel as a trainer. ( But 5-star for Dock Diving with Dave) There are other trainers that I have heard good things about but we took one of our pups to her 6week puppy class and were wishing we had gone back to Paws and Play with Tim Hartsock like our other pups. Yes, there is GREAT puppy social time in the first 10-15 minutes and, yes, your dog gets to experience their dog pool. (Note: you have to pay your vet $50-90 for fecal tests to ensure that your dog does not have Giardia -- a VERY common intestinal infection. Ours had it, so we racked up $ 180 for testing/meds until he no longer had it.) The downside was watching Rachel unable to get different pups to do what she asked. In comparison, at Paws and Play, it was like watching the Pied Piper of dogs as Tim could get even the worst pup in the class to do his bidding! Rachel does seem to like dogs alot -- just not projecting that out to each pup and adjusting for personalities and learning styles.

Such a great facility. I’ve loved all the classes I’ve taken there. They offer such a wide variety of classes. I can tell they care so much about helping owners and their dogs. I frequently recommend them to other dog owners.
