The only thing missing here is line dancing. I drove by this place a few hundred times in the past but this is the first time visiting. It is right off the highway, convenient.It is part of the Fair Oaks Farm complex with a couple of buildings for farming education and some adventure petting zoo type of setup. It also includes a Fairfield Inn that looks like a huge barn. A lot of older people come here, especially from the nearby nursing home.The decor is a given, semi-open kitchen. Good service and fast. The food quality is expected for a country restaurant but above average. The French onion soup is not bad, a little watery. Good burgers and fries. Prices are suitable for the area.

We loved this place, the menu had a good variety, our server was top notch,very attentive and answered questions , came back to check on us, the for was really good and huge portions too, had the walleye sandwich, took half home, wife had the California type burger with the avocados on it... The fruit was really good, the roasted brussel sprouts were phenomenal! Always wanted to stop there, so glad we did, can't wait to go back!

We were staying at the Fairfield and went as a family of 4 for dinner at the Farmhouse Restaurant. We were able to get in without a reservation at about 5:45 on a Sunday evening. It's a large, open space, and we were seated in a roomy booth. We were disappointed to have missed out on the brisket by literally minutes, but the Cajun chicken sandwich and the chicken pot pie were both delicious. I subbed out the fries for the crispy Brussels sprouts, which were amazing! Our son had a cheeseburger from the kids menu. Everything was cooked fresh, good size portions, and very tasty. Our food took a little while to come out, but our server brought some cornbread muffins to compensate. Yum! Overall recommend!

The food here was wonderful. This was a great place to stop on the road. I was able to walk around and get some exercise and loosen up. Wonderful restaurant with excellent food. If I pass by this way again, I will definitely be stopping here.Parking: Tons of parking spaces and plenty of electric vehicle charging stations

Have been here 3 times and everytime it is absolutely delicious. No complaints…. No wait to be seated and the was what seemed like a wedding party there. Waitress was attentive and we didn’t wait long to be served. Food was delicious, butter pecan chicken was juicy and full of flavor. NY strip was cooked to our liking and could be cut with a butter knife. We enjoy coming here. Will be sad to leave the area soon.

Delicious dinner options. Friendly staff. I sat at the bar and decompressed after a few long days in a row, and it was a very pleasant and delicious experience.Two glasses of the house Pinot noir was over $40 though… I definitely wasn’t expecting my bill to be as steep as it was out in the farmlands of Indiana.

We had a party of 10 and ordered a variety of things from burgers to chicken to steaks. Overall, everything was good except for the steaks. Medium should be brown on the outside and pink on the inside. Both of our steaks were nearly well done when we got them. Pretty disappointing given their price. The brisket was delish though and the kids enjoyed the burgers. The green beans were very fresh and had a good texture.Overall, I'd go back but would not order the steaks again.

We went as a family to the forest of lights and dinner in an igloo experience and it was an overall awesome experience ! Forest of lights was a blast, igloo was nice and cozy, food was fresh and service was great! Can’t wait to come back and enjoy some yummy food 🙂 To add: Their baked onion soup was HEAVEN and I’m usually picky about coleslaw but fair oaks was yummm !Parking: Typically plenty of room to find a spot to park, regardless of how packed it’s worth the small walk if there is one!

Stopped in for dinner on Sunday night on our way to the solar eclipse. So did about half of the United States, apparently! Even though it was a long wait and they were caught off-guard by the crowds , the staff at Farmhouse handled it extremely well! Still so professional and friendly! The food was excellent. We enjoyed cheese curds as our appetizer. I had a pork tenderloin sandwich, which was superb. My wife had the meatloaf and our son had the butter pecan chicken. They both loved, loved, loved their choices! All of us had large portions prepared excellently. I can't wait to go back when it's not so crowded.

I took sometime to think about this review. We had been the Farmhouse once before and it was a great experience but this past time was less than par. The food was pretty marginal in quality and its cost was absurd. Portions were small except for the kids mac and cheese. My brisket was dry beyond explanation especially with the price being in excess of $35. Chicken Tenders were even dryer, jerky dry.Food to table took forever which makes the dryness even more troubling. Regardless, I would not recommend Farmhouse. It feels more like tourist trap and less like quality restaurant.I was disappointed because the previous I recalled as being better, but when my wife and I discussed the experience we had apple picking made up for the less than great food we got that day. This visit was for the restaurant only and it was not worth the stop.

Went for a family weekend. Food is mediocre and expensive for no reason. “Farm to over price table and service” I got the bbq brisket and was salty and bland. Full of fat and not hot. Can tell my food was sitting there after it was cooked. Mash was dry and fell apart on my fork. People who ordered after me got their food first, so of course we sat there 45 min. I will not be coming back and spending my money here

We were excited to try this place on our way home from visiting Chicago. The menu sounded delicious. Our waitress was friendly enough but it took her forever to bring us our food. We could see that our food was ready and waiting but she took another tables order, then put their order in the kiosk, then went to the host desk and greeted more customers before ever going back to the kitchen. Once in the kitchen she went out of sight for a while before finally bringing out our food. Our food was not at all flavorful, I had high hopes for that pork shoulder but it was tasteless. My husband's steak wasn't good either. My kids enjoyed their Mac and cheese.

I’ve not actually been here but my family has multiple times and praise it greatly. They drive from Avon, IN 100 miles/2 hour drive to eat here. They also stop every time they go to Chicago. They will reserve a table before they head up and always enjoy their visit! The food they brought home was also good the next day. Good portions, reasonably priced!Parking: Plenty of parking and a Tesla charging station available.Kid-friendliness: Family atmosphere, high chairs available and kids menu.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, seating, elevator also wheelchair accessible restrooms as well

Steakhouse prices for mediocre food. Nothing stood out besides the cornbread muffins, which come with the meal. They were the best part.The kitchen was slow so a long wait.Our server was good, and often came to help and check in on us.Also, the bathroom has cool state plates.

Fair Oaks Farmhouse Restaurant has an amazing dining experience for anyone that enjoys great food with big portions and an atmosphere with modern rustic charm!My wife and I decided to stop midway through our journey home and were presently surprised to have snagged a table fireside for Sunday brunch!I enjoyed the Brunch Melt which comes with a 1/3 lb beef patty cooked to order, ham, bacon and cheddar cheese in between two slices of fresh baked sourdough toast with Sriracha berry jam on the base.My wife enjoyed the Country fried pork tenderloin which was very tender and about an inch thick and smothered in country sausage gravy complete with hash browns, two eggs cooked to order and toast! The tenderloin itself had to be close to a pound!If you are traveling through the northern half of Indiana, I would highly recommend stopping in to take a break from the drive and enjoy this fulfilling dining experience!

The best steak I have ever eaten. This is no exaggeration. Even compared to our own homegrown beef this steak stands head and shoulders higher. It was so delicious. My green beans were perfect and I enjoyed the potato as well. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his burger and really loved the fresh refrigerator pickles with it. We sat on the wrap around porch to eat and enjoyed the amazing views. Plus the porch is pet friendly! Prices and service are great for the quality and their fuzzy navel drink is just delicious too. We really didn't have any complaints. It was a great experience.

Desperately wanted to love this place. It is gorgeous! But for all it's beauty it lacks a little in the flavor department.My colleagues were huge fans of the place. I have a simple rule, if salt is needed, I won't be back. It wasn't all bad though.The cheese curds may have been the best I ever had. Let's not forget about the amazing ice cream. Delicious!!

We lucked into finding this little gem! The restaurant was beautiful and cozy! The food was amazing! The waitress was very attentive but not overbearing like some can be. Hands down a great place to stop in and visit!
