We have had the best experience with Pet Food Center West lately. We recently added some new pets to our home and the staff was very helpful in our transition. They were extremely knowledgeable about hamsters and gave us all the info we needed to make them have the happiest life possible. Our girl Reggie wants for nothing thanks to the staff at PFCW. They have also recently helped us with our fish tank problems. We have had an influx of death amongst our poor fish and we immediately sought out help. The staff tested our water, gave suggestions on tank improvement conditions, and even replaced the fish we had lost. Overall it has been a wonderful experience and we will continue to visit for our pet needs!

Added fee to use credit cards to “keep prices low” while simultaneously raising prices. I’ll be getting my cat food from Chewy now. Gave 2 stars instead of 1 because the staff is usually friendly.

Don't Ever buy feeder rats from here I bought 2 large Feeders for my two snakes because they were the only place that had big rats I fed them the rats 24 hours later both of my snakes are dead and the person I talked to said well sorry I can't do anything for you!!!!! they need to replace my snakes 🐍 😤 I'm beyond pissed

My daughter and I bought a hamster and a cage from here. Cage looked difficult to put together so they offered to put it together for me. I was pleasantly surprised and very thankful. Very cool place!

Love this pet store. The 1st thing I do every time is go look at all of the pets. They have some common favorite pets and some less common very interesting ones which helped me decide what kind of lizard I'm getting next! Love that they carry some local pet food and other great and better quality products then the big chains. The staff is always friendly and ready to answer any questions and if they don't know the answer they find it for me!

I had an amazing experience at this location with Tessa. I go here almost everyday with my service dog in training. Today I wasn't feeling the best so I sat down away from people and soon had an episode. Half way through I opened my eyes and noticed Tessa sitting with me (which is what handlers prefer our dogs are trained to know what to do) she redirected my service dog when she got distracted by another dog and kept her close when she got up (she is still in training so mistakes happen Tessa handled this wonderfully) when I came to I thank her and she ask if I was okay and needed water. She then ran across the street to get me water. She has been the absolute best experience I can't thank her enough! This store in general is absolutely amazing with us always so respectful!

Some people here are not the best at working in a pet store. If you don't want to chase fish around for a customer then don't work here. Also please wear deodorant! I ask for 8 guppies which the tank had maybe 20 the employee was huffing and puffing trying to catch these guppies ended up only catching like 3 and told me they couldn't get any more. So I told the employee that's ok never mind. I understand if the employee was not supposed to be doing the fish but they should be trained in every area then or don't ask me if I need help with the fish. As I was leaving the employee was like I wonder how I get these back into the tank. It took us no less than 10 minutes to get 3 guppies and by the time the employee was done the little room smelt so bad of body odor. Employees should be trained and advise of how they should dress, smell, and look presentable in any store/business they work in.

I would like to edit my review from 3 to 4 stars. I appreciate the owner reaching out to me with a discount offer, acknowledging and correcting the mistake made. That's a class act in my book.Pricey! Sign up promoting 30% off dog beds but told sale is over at check-out. A basic dog brush was $27!! Won't be back!

I've been coming to this place since I was a kid, I've had so many animals from here, the service is always good except for the young man at the register, he doesn't seem very friendly, I frequent for frozen brine shrimp and daphnia for my pink kissing guarami, and suet cakes for wild birds, and cookies for my doggies. only once was the fish food out of stock and the sweet girl explained to me why and found a store for me that had it in stock. Other than the young man, the service is always wonderful.

I love this place ! Everyone there is amazing ! The owners, everyone. They make you feel at home ! Griffin the pet specialist is a awesome guy. He answered every question I had, very knowledgeable. He keeps the tanks and the fish in amazing conditions. This is the best place to get your fish and pet supplies. I recommend it over any other competition in town.

It's always clean and the people are always helpful. They have some good puzzle toys and a wide selection of collars/leashes/etc. Went here for a larger cage for my growing puppy. Price on the shelf for the cage here was 79.99, found online and at pet smart for 29.99. That is quite a difference in price for a similar wire cage. When I told the guy that I could get it cheaper elsewhere, he said that that's great...or buy it online it's cheaper.

As always our visit to the West Side Pet Food Center was great. Our dog loves to get to go in at this store. They had every thing that we needed. This store is clean and well lit. Our store clerk was really sweet and offered to put us in the store's "Rewards" program. I do believe that the Pet Food Store has become our favorite place to shop for Lucy's needs. Great job you all.

We bought goldfish yesterday and brought them back because they all died due to ick. the girl we talked to said to bring them back and they said sorry we can't replace your goldfish. Do not buy fish from this store. They will not replace them or give you your money back. Shopping elsewhere.

The staff is always friendly and will ask if you need help. Prices are slightly high on some items, and quite a few animal cages were dirty and unkempt. A few birds looked sick and had missing feathers. Pet Food Center has hard-to-find specialty pet items which makes it a good choice to shop for your animals. I just wish the in-store let's were better taken care of. The store cat that runs around can be slightly unsocial so if you choose to let him tread lightly lol
