I don't know what I'm more upset about, driving almost an hour to leave empty-handed or the fact that my son is let down, too. I've been trying to get him into playing Magic the Gathering since he has gotten older, and I wanted to get him into a card game I used to play instead of Pokémon. We've been watching YouTube videos the last couple of weeks trying to teach him the basics, and I was going to get us everything we needed to get started playing tonight. I brought a few Pokémon cards in hoping to trade some for store credit to save some money because I knew it would probably be a couple hundred dollars to get some precon decks, boosters, dice, mats, sleeves, and anything else we could think of. If they made a trade or not, I wasn't leaving empty handed, I just drove 45 minutes to get there. It's not the fact that they only wanted one card after barely looking at anything I had. It was the fact that no one behind the counter could be bothered to answer a question or offer assistance to help sell me something or guide me in the right direction on deck selection or anything. I get wizard is pushing commander , but they could have helped me figure something out instead of assuming I didn't want to spend money. After standing there and not getting anywhere, I asked to have my store credit written down, and buddy couldn't even be bothered to get a cue card to write my info down. I finally told them to keep the card I was trading and told my son we were leaving. I didn't even ask for the card back because I was really irritated at this point. After leaving, I believe they realized how upset I was, and someone did try to come outside and wave me down as I was driving away. I was not going to stop and talk because at this point, I had nothing nice to say. I'm not mad at anyone, really. I'm just disappointed about the whole experience. I used to love comic book stores when I was a kid. Everyone is always informative and enthusiastic about getting people into the game, and I was excited for my son to get the same feeling I used to get and we couldn't even get a smile, let alone some good information out of anyone. I don't like doing bad reviews. It's not worth my time, but when my kids get let down and their feelings are hurt, I gotta say something. On a positive note, though, the establishment did seem nice with a lot of room to play games. When I finally find a decent store to get Magic merch, we unfortunately won't be coming here for FNM.

I try to support local businesses as much as possible. Since moving to the area a year ago, I've spent a reasonable amount of money at Comicquest, and generally been happy with the selection and service. After my last purchase, their card processor sent me a $5 credit for the store, so today I went in to see what I could find to use it on. I picked up an action figure marked $14.99 and headed to the register. It was manned by a befuddled and frankly a bit paranoid older man who told me he couldn't help me and I'd have to wait for manager Chris to return from outside. He clearly had never been trained to run the register or deal with customers. While I waited, he repeatedly questioned me about the coupon and where I got it, and if I had gone through some arcane process which he clearly had no grasp of and couldn't explain - and acted suspicious of me when I told him (several times) that it was emailed to me. Finally Chris returned and proceeded to ring up the $14.99 action figure at $64! I pointed out the VERY legible $14.99 price tag to him, and the old man started anxiously saying that that wasn't one of their price tags (it certainly was, I had thumbed through 14 other things with exactly the same tags on them before grabbing the one I wanted), asking where I got the figure, and Chris pointed out a tiny round tag on the bottom of the figure that said $59 and was barely legible and almost the same shade as the box it was attached to.Sorry folks - This was my last time coming to the store. Your odd and borderline rude employee and the fact that the manager didn't make any effort to stop his rantings or honor the price affixed to the product killed any chance of me ever doing business with Comicquest in the future.I'll keep shopping at Book Broker, Secret Headquarters and other local shops, and what I can't find there I'll order online. There's nothing in CQ that I can't find for the same price (and in many cases less) online or elsewhere - if you don't care about my experience in your shop as a customer, there's no reason for me to patronize you.

Road trip treasure trove! We left Tennessee for Indiana taking one route, then returned down an alternate route and stumbled upon this place--seeing it from across the road and immediately pulling a U-turn to see what Comic Quest had to offer. The answer? A LOT. This was a clean, well-stocked store with an impressive variety of new and old collectibles ranging from single-issue comics and graphic novels to cards and toys. Every time I turned, there was a new discovery, another aisle to explore. The staff was pleasant, and the place put off a nice "all ages" vibe. Standout for me (and this may sound silly, but context is everything): the bathrooms were spacious, maintained and usable. In my experience, most collectible shops offer a cramped and dingy bathroom experience, if they offer restroom facilities at all to anyone other than employees. I was impressed to see that this place was prepared to host more than one or two people at a time. That says a lot. They want you to be comfortable, and they want you to hang around. You are welcome here.

Friendly, laid-back atmosphere. A lot of gaming options. They have traditional comics, but also anime, and graphic novels. Many types of collectibles and figurines. Fair prices.

I love this place other than the fact I spend to much money when I go in there🤣 They have a huge selection of regular comics, graded comics, statues, figurines, games and game pieces. I would definitely recommend a visit.

I needed something specific and had less than 24 hours. I called. They helped me find exact what I needed and were open until 9pm. Comic Quest helped me pull off a birthday party MIRACLE!

Hands down the best comic and trading card game store around. Great selection and knowledgeable staff.

First time in this store and I must say it left a bad taste. Found this Venusaur card and the sleeve said LP. I didn't think to look it over because I bought it from a good established business. It is definitely closer to HP or damaged. The card has nics and dings all around the edges. I'm leaving pics so you can decide for your self weather to do business here. I live an hour away and I definitely will not recommend. Other then that and charging $270 for modern booster boxes the store does have a really nice selection of vintage items old and new. Prices for other items are good. Staff is not the most knowledgeable but they are nice and respectful. I very rarely leave a bad review but in this case I feel cheated.

Probably the best hobby, toy, comic store in town. Their prices are not outrageous and they're almost always running a promotion or sale. They also have game nights for the community.

I brought in some old transform toys I'd inherited and traded them in for store credit after a brief exchange with the owner. He was very pleasant to work with as was the rest of the staff.Their selection of trade backs, both hard and soft cover is better than any comic store I've seen in San Diego, not to mention their assortment of DnD and Warhammer figures. They also include high quality and rated collectible figures and comics as well as trading cards and paints.11/10, would highly recommend for anyone even remotely interested in comics, cards, or table top gaming.

I love comic/toy/hobby shops, and I really want to be able to recommend them, but I've been here twice now and both times had issues with incorrect pricing. This time, they had an item marked at 29.99 but it rang up at 79.99. They refused to honor the marked price. That's fine, but the first time I came in, we had basically the same problem. The guys at the register weren't rude, but also clearly had no idea how to make it right. The first time I went in, the store was being run by a bunch of younger individuals that clearly knew nothing about anything in the shop. Same problem with items marked wrong and them not knowing how to make it right. They just don't seem to know how to run the business yet. Hopefully it gets better in the future. If love to be able to come back and give them a better rating they have a great selection, but their pricing is just too high on everything even when it's marked as reasonable or good since they don't honor those marked prices.

Comic Quest sells comics, collecitbles and nerdy games like Magic the Gathering and Yugioh cards. Today I brought a group of students to play in their Yugioh tournament. They have a rather large area dedicated to playing the tournaments. I'm sure the students will want to come again.

I used to take my grandson here every weekend and buy him a funko pop and play video games at the old location. This new location is a bit far for me but we still enjoy going once in a while.

Wouldn't recommend if you are taking kids around the age of 8-10. Seemed like a great place. I took my kids there to see if they could trade in some cards. ( I didn't think they would really have anything but they begged to go) they are up there for 20 seconds and the guy keeps saying over and over sorry to be the berrier of bad news but these are fake. Repeatedly. Then what I presume to be maybe the owner told him why don't you explain to them why. I didn't think they would have thought much about it but once we got in the car all they kept saying was "why would he just keep saying they were fake, he didn't even look at them"Maybe this place is geared more toward teenagers and adults.

Great little comic shop! The employees are helpful and knowledgeable and are more than willing to help anyone, avid comic reader or newcomer. I had never read a comic until last year and they helped steer me towards the series and publishers I've come to love and look forward to every week. Also, they have a pretty good selection of board games and collectibles.

The store has some interesting items, particularly for game enthusiasts. We stopped in to browse and found a great deal on a board game that I had been wanting. The merchandise is pretty good overall but the prices are a little high unless you find a good deal. The real issue is the staff. They never greet us when we come in and act like processing the purchase is putting them out. We have had this same experience multiple times at the store. They seem friendly to the people who come in and play games but not to shoppers like us. They do seem a little friendlier to my boyfriend than to me. For this reason, I prefer shopping at a similar store in Owensboro where I feel welcomed even though it requires a bit of a drive.

Great game store with a good selection. I go for Wednesday night dnd, but they also have magic tournaments and a selection far beyond most other friendly local gaming stores. Also, Ethan has never been anything but kind and courteous when I was there.
