Deli fried chicken is always old and dried out. Even after complaining and asking for fresh, hot chicken that was in abundance in the warmer, I once again was served greasy tough dried out chicken. I guess the chubby boy is saving the best for himself. 🤕

Jay C Food store is easily the best grocery store in Crawford County. The employees are always willing to help their guests with any and all requests and they will go out of their way to make sure that everyone feels welcome. Make sure that you stop by their deli and grab yourself some of the best fried chicken this side of the Ohio River.

Store itself is good but I dread going in and getting in line when a certain cashier is working. Older lady with glasses.and grayish hair. always so rude and slamming your items around. Just seems angry and like she dont want to be there.

Out of stock on a lot of stuff. Not consistent on availability of fresh fish. Produce has improved in availability and selection. Staff always friendly and helpful.

Bought a can of chicken and dumplings here, and when I got home, it had been opened!!!! Had can-opener marks on it upon closer inspection, I will be checking my canned food from there from now on!! Other than that they could carry a bit more selection of healthy fresh foods!

The English Jay C Food Store is the premium grocery in Crawford County. The Jay C Store is always kept clean. This is not a large Jay C Store. However, space is utilized to the advantage of Customers. There is fruit and produce displayed conveniently. The meat department is good and offers helpful savings. Eggs, dairy and a nice selection of butter and cheese are easy to find.The deli is good and offers excellent fried chicken. Checkout lines are not long and English JayC Store is an asset to the community.

Disgusting grocery store!!!! Flies everywhere. Fruit and vegetables were old and with mold and/or rotting. Refrigerator areas not cold. Milk mildly cool, if that.

My mom has to use a Walker or a wheelchair if she goes out. It is very hard to grocery shop with her so as a result she usually is left at home. I noticed a care chair at the jaycee in English last week so I decided to take her with me today. The chair was all rusty and beat up. If I saw it at a yard sale I would probably give $5. You probably assume this is going to be a bad review but the fact of the matter is it didnt matter She got to pick out her own food for the first time in over a year. Doesnt sound like much but to an 85 year old home bound lady it meant the world. I know it sounds crazy to be thankful for something like a beat up rusty wheelchair with a cart attached but it really made a difference to both of us.ThanksDeb Powell
