We really loved our visit here. Definitely a more educational experience than a big box store. The owner was so kind. He answered all f our questions and helped us successfully get started with micro crayfish. Our tank is thriving now thanks to his help.

I had called them about fish and I was given very informative information. I feel from this point on I will only get my fish from them. They are very knowledgeable and they will even order a fish if they don't have the ones I want. You may pay a higher price on these fish but I feel if you want a great variety of fish in your tank that are healthy then id buy from these guys. Very well worth the extra money.

Friendly, local, healthy fish, knowledgeable,can test water and do diagnostic. New and use everything, tank decor.etc. Fish are high quality. Staff very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. Fresh and Salt water, if they don't have it; they can order it. This is our main stay. Always a positive experience. 10/10 will recommend to all.

I don't know much about aquariums, all I knew was that my wife wanted fish. But my lack of knowledge wasn't a problem here because the staff is amazingly helpful and will answer any questions you have. I've gotten fish from big pet or box stores in the past and they tend not to last very long but the fish we got from here are going on 3 years!

When we arrived the place, we were not sure because it looks like somebody's house. You need to go to upstairs for the shop. Randy the owner was wonderful, knowledgeable and helpful. He answered all question we had and gave us advise. Price was really reasonable. Fish stock was bit low on the day but everything seems to be healthy and well taken care of.

Called looking for hard to find item. They took the time to check and had what I needed. Once they’re very helpful a knowledgeable, and friendly. Not often do you get customer service at this level. Plan on supporting this local mom and pop store for all my needs when it comes to my fish hobby.

I could not recommend Northside more! As a beginner hoping to keep my first betta fish, I was really struggling to cycle my tank. Northside staff were so kind and explained the process to me and made sure I left with what I needed to cycle my tank. What really impressed me was the quality of the fish and the ethics of the owner. He does not keep betta fish in cups, but instead orders one or two at a time and keeps them in individual tanks. You may have to wait longer to get your betta if they need to be ordered, but I would rather take home a healthy, happy fish and support someone who treats these animals the right way. Thank you Northside Aquatics!!

Sold me two wave makers saying they worked took me 20 minutes to get on to work and then the other does push the water round and now both dont turn on and he charged me 75 for them terrible

We love this shop! The staff is so friendly, knowledgable, and helpful and they have a wonderful selection! Whenever I have a problem with my aquarium I know I can zip into Northside Aquatics and find an answer. They helped me solve my ich issue, get my tank ph within acceptable range and they did a water test and helped me figure out I was adding too much Prime (yes, you can add too much!) If you want super duper service, awesome selection, and a great experience, go to Northside Aquatics!

Bought a 38 gallon tank from Randy.After getting the tank home it had several deep scratches in it.Called Randy back, it took 2 weeks but Randy replaced the tank.In the process i bought a stand also.The stand was so out of square the tank wouldnt sit on it.Had to take the stand to a wood shop.They took it apart and made it level.All in all the experiance wasnt great but not much is after Covid.

Highly recommend this place. Randy was extremely friendly and wonderful to talk to. Very knowledgeable about everything fish. Price was awesome. He explained the cycling of the tank very well to ensure proper fish care, I don't know much about fish besides they taste good fried, he was able to explain it very well. Can't recommend this place enough. Go here instead of the big box stores!!

A little bit confusing, you have to go up the wooden stairs outside to actually access the store the selection isn't really amazing but they can order almost anything you might want and what they do have isn't what you find at PetSmart. The employees were very helpful also. I would recommend it to a fish keeper who isn't completely new but maybe they would be fine to help a novice

Excellent advice. Used and new aquarium tanks, filter and accessories. Marine and freshwater products. If they don't have what you desire they will order it for you. Fish Endlers, Guppies, Cichlids. Variety of shrimp Neocaridina and Bamboo Shrimp. Coral and Reef safe fish and inverts. Freshwater plants. Marine Macroalgae.

Bought a 300 gallon aquarium from Randy, they came and set it up, answered all our questions and have been there for any questions or help we have needed since. Had an issue with the tank and they were able to come out the next day and fix it. Can't recommend this place enough. Randy and the staff are extremely knowledgeable and there is a great selection of fish and supplies at the store.

Northside aquatics is the best local fish store. They have an amazing variety of fish and can order even more. They are the definition of a brick and mortar establishment that we should all cherish! Yea petsmart and petco can get for fish but, they can't give you the friendly experience that Northside can.

Very friendly owner i would highly recommend this store. The prices are very fair and also takes trades. It has a pretty large selection of used and new aquariums and other supplies including filters. Also one of the largest selections of snails I have seen. Excellent price on aquascaping products.

They always have a good selection of salt and freshwater fish as well as decor. They now have plants and shrimp as well. The owner is very knowledgeable and can tell you what will and won't work in your aquarium, as well as their fish are higher quality, fish I've gotten there have done much better than the same fish I get other places.

I was very impressed with this LFS. Store is clean and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable. They were even willing to spend an hour just talking to me and providing advice. They have a customer for life after how I was treated. Also, they have been super willing to order whatever I have needed for fish and have kept and quarantined them for me!

I wasn't too sure about stopping in once I seen that it was operated on private property but I am certainly glad I did. They were extremely helpful and provided us with a bunch of information about the tank we had that failed us as well as information going forward that we will need.They have many tanks and fish as well as the ability to order more and even repaint the new stand for us. We are more than happy with the service provided and will be returning when we need more supplies.

First time visiting this establishment. A bit of a hike up two flights of stairs, but who can complain about free cardio? LOL! Was greeted by the very hospitable owner. He was quite informative on a number of topics, and made me feel welcome. I was impressed with the setup, layout, and wide selection. High quality throughout. Based on this initial visit, I can see myself becoming a regular customer!
