This is a gem of a place in our little town. There is always someone to help you and they are friendly. Years ago during the flood of 2008, I will never forgot these fine people brought us a sump pump to the front of our neighborhood and we picked it up there. Most roads were flooded and they found way to help us. I will never forget that.

We called 2 weeks ago to rent an a piece of heavy equipment. We were told to be there Saturday morning at 8:30. We rearranged our schedule to be able to get the equipment and work for the day.My husband showed up and was told he was not on the schedule and that someone was renting it for a month. The lady did apologize but that doesn’t help the fact that now we can’t do the job that was scheduled to be done or that he had canceled the original piece of equipment at one of their competitors. Gillman was 100$ cheaper but you get what you pay for sometimes.We also, had them price a fence. We had to call daily to ask if it was done. When it was finally done it was going to be 22,000$ when the quote from Lowes and Menards were both under 10,000$.I totally get that people are overwhelmed with being over worked due to staff shortage’s. We are easy going people who treat people with respect. But we also have worked all of our lives and know the importance of customer service.I am very disappointed in Gillman and their service or lack of. We will not be using them again or recommend anyone else to use them as well.

Great atmosphere here. Someone is always so willing to help. Remember they are there doing their job, your need is no bigger than anyone else's wait your turn and for pity sakes be nice to the staff. They are amazing people there!!!!

I usually love this store. They have a sign on the door; wear a mask and don't enter if you feel feverish. I witnessed several customers with no masks and two employees with masks around their necks...I don't feel safe in this store. I will return after the pandemic.

The staff on the floor was friendly. Two workers stopped and asked if I needed help. The cashier was watching football on his phone🤨 while checking people out. Turn off the phone and work kid, not professional at all!

I was in today for the first time and received excellent service from Gene who I believe is the manager. He took the time to help me find the several specific items I needed, including looking online for the items that were not in stock, and even educated me on their use since I asked. This is the kind of customer service that makes for a good reputation.

Have done lots of renting and purchases there. Generally good experiences but, had a Do It Best breaker bar that broke and wouldn't replace it. Don't buy tools (sockets, wrenches, ratchets, or breaker bars) there if you think it will get replaced if it breaks.

Terrible customer service. Transferred to one person to the next to the next. One woman in apparently two out of the three stores is competent and she happens to be on vacation and the ONLY person who can answer a cabinet question. They are blatantly condescending to women and I would never go here again let alone buy anything. This and the Batesville store.

Hometown hardware store. Nice people treat you with respect make you feel that your business is appreciated. I have called them several times on projects I have done in the past to ask for suggestions or how I can do this better they have always been helpful. Thank you. Rented an Electric Eel. Price was great, service was great. Cable was kinked in a few spots pretty badly when I started pulling it out, that's why they don't get 5 stars. Still, i will come here first when i want to rent equipment. Can't beat the price and the service.

Just a small hardware store with tool rentals. Friendly staff. Alot smaller than lowes or other big box hardware so selection is more limited

Rented the ditch witch trencher and was told it will dig a trench 4ft. However, after getting the trencher home it will NOT dig that deep, it does not have the horse power to dig that deep. Take it back early and was refused a full refund. Will NOT be back to this store.

We paid over $4000 for a bed from here with a lifetime warranty. It is now 7 months later and the massager is not working correctly. I went in to talk to them about it and all I got was "Sorry, we don't sell those beds anymore, we switched to a different company." They will never see another penny of my money.
