Amazing place to stay with our family for The Polar Express train ride in French Lick. The cabin was amazing, decorated darling for Christmas! 🎄 my grandchildren loved the hot tub! It was perfect for our weekend stay. Debbie thinks of everything with notes & tips all around the cabin. Plenty of room for everyone.

Beautiful location and beautiful cabin. Plenty of room and more than enough towels, sheets, and blankets. Great location. Remote enough for lots of privacy but close proximity to lots of activities and restaurants. Hot tub on an enclosed porch, large firepit with wood provided. Lots of cute decorative touches. We will definitely be back!

Perfect! Great location, fully-stocked, and clean as a whistle. We stayed at the cabin in the middle of October 2018. Myself and four friends enjoyed our stay during a Fall motorcycle trip. Debbie, the owner, met us at check-in and couldn't have been more accommodating, friendly, and thorough. She even graciously allowed us to park our motorcycles in the heated, well-lit barn. It was most appreciated since we experienced some rather inclement weather during the night. We all agreed these were the best accommodations our bikes had ever enjoyed :). Highly recommended!

Loved staying in this amazing cabin! Made our family vacation all the better! My Aunt Sarah was in charge of the whole process getting the cabin booked, but was also happy with everything. They have lots of beds and places for guests to sleep, TWO coffee pots, and is in a great spot! Thank you for having such an amazing cabin to share and for up-keeping it so well!

Just book it, you won't be sorry! The Wise Old Owl Cabin was perfect for our family of 6. GPS took us right to it with zero issues.The kitchen has every single tool/gadget one could need. My husband enjoyed using the outdoor Blackstone Griddle to cook our morning bacon.My bed was really soft and comfortable. There were plenty of towels (for all the bathrooms and the hot tub area), great wifi and beautiful flowers outside.You can tell the owners really love their home. I'd highly recommend staying at Deb's Cabin!

Wise Old Owl Cabin somehow manages to be large and roomy while being comfy and cozy at the same time. There were just two of us during our visit but we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. It was as clean as could be, kitchen had everything that you could possibly need, gas fireplace and hot tub both worked easily to keep you warm in the winter. And the location was great... close to the lake, with nearby local restaurants or an easy drive to French Lick. Host is very attentive and friendly and check-in and check-out was quick and easy. We will definitely look for the opportunity to come back.

Great place for our family getaway! We have visited Wise Old Owl Cabin for our family reunion a couple of times now. There is plenty of space for everyone in our extended family. The Cabin is very clean and well stocked. Debbie has thought of about everything you might need. The Cabin is conveniently located near Patoka Lake and other local attractions. Grocery stores are not very far away. Debbie has been very responsive in helping with any questions we may have. Yes, we will definitely use Wise Old Owl Cabin again!

I can't recommend Wise Old Owl cabin highly enough! Debbie and Butch put a lot of love and care into this place, and we so enjoyed our stay. It was immaculately clean. Also, their team is performing enhanced cleaning for maximum safety against COVID-19 which put us at ease. But above all, the cabin is filled with thoughtful touches. For just one example, it had the best stocked kitchen I have ever seen in a rental cabin. Plentiful (and high quality) pots, pans and utensils, as well as some cooking staples on hand in case you forgot something. This place is close to the lake-- We use Hoosier Marina and it was just an 18 minute drive from the cabin. The front porch is a gorgeous place to spend a morning. (We were visited by hummingbirds.) The large screen porch with hot tub was THE place to relax in the evenings. Outside, there is also a large firepit with an 8 - 10 chair ring around it, 2 grills and one large outdoor griddle. We were a small group, but your big group of 12 - 20 could cook here without being cramped. As a final convenience, they keep the basement freezer stocked with large bags of ice for a small fee;so you can stock your cooler for a day on the lake without even stopping at the store! Again, I can't recommend this place highly enough. We will definitely be back.

The Cabin is wonderful! Super clean and followed COVID guidelines. The beds were cozy, awesome fireplace, literally all the comforts of home. The grills are great, kitchen was fully stocked. The owners are wonderful people and available if you need anything. Great little touches like farm fresh eggs, fresh bread, a flower on the window sill. I didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to book it for another visit!

The Wise Old Owl Cabin is one of my favorite places to go for a mini vacation. It is so welcoming and comfortable with everything you need. A Beautiful private, scenic setting just 10-15 minutes from town. It is great for a larger group or is just right for sharing with another couple or two. The kitchen is fully equipped. We love the large covered porches and screened room on the back with hot tub. Also love visiting the town of French Lick and the Historic French Lick Hotel and West Baden Springs Hotel. Patoka Lake, Unique shopping and antique shops are nearby. I would highly recommend staying here. My only complaint has been that my stay is never long enough!

I have stayed 3 times at the Wise Old Owl Cabin. Twice for a cousins weekend (10 women) and my 6 siblings and I stayed for a weekend. So clearly...I keep coming back for a reason. It is a delightful space, close to French Lick, has everything one would need and more, and is spotless. The comfortable beds, beautiful scenery, fire pit, hot tub, plenty of wood for the fire .......... I could go on and on. Perfect for all ages. Thanks again Debbie for creating and sharing this space!

Our group of seven LOVED our vacation at WOO this summer! There was so much to do nearby at Patoka Lake...kayaking, boating, hiking, biking, visiting the local winery, picnicking, and soaking in amazing sunsets. The cabin and the owners were outstanding!! Debbie and Butch (the nicest people who we now consider our friends!!) thought of every detail to make our stay wonderful: great kitchen, beautiful decor, amazing beds, and such a relaxing, "homey" feel. The place was very clean and inviting! We ate most of our meals on the front porch, soaking in the wooded views. We had a beautiful evening around the firepit, cooking and singing songs...and another grilling out and soaking in the back porch hot tub. This place is a Southern Indiana treasure! This was the perfect place for our family of 4 couples and 1 toddler to stay while we had a Polar Express experience in French Lick. The accommodations were very nice - comfortable, cozy beds, well-stocked kitchen, fireplace and adequate number of bathrooms for the cabin size. Loved the front porch and the swing in the screened-in porch. Although we didn’t use the hot tub and the weather wasn’t ideal for the fire pit - having them available made us think about a “next visit” to this area. Check in instructions and general rules were very clear and reasonable. It was very easy to connect with Deborah for the few questions that arose. I would highly recommend this property!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wise Old Owl Cabin! Our family of 14 (ages 1-1/2 to 68 yrs) had plenty of room. A beautiful, clean house, spacious front porch, large screened back porch with hot tub, and firepit with plenty of chairs in a peaceful, wooded area – all made the good times even better. Debbie and Butch were so accommodating. If you forgot something, no worries – there were extra supplies in the kitchen. Plenty of towels. Extra items like DVD movies and toys. If we had questions, Debbie was available by text or phone. We felt very comfortable and at home. It was a short drive to Patoka Lake where we boated one day; went to the beach and to the winery on another. We would recommend WOO Cabin wholeheartedly!

Wow, what a beautiful home away from home! We just stayed for a long holiday weekend with 7 other HS GF’s celebrating our 60ths birthdays! Couldn’t be a more perfect place to stay. Beautifully decorated, so clean, and had everything !!! Debbie welcomed us and Lydia has a basket of eggs and homemade bread waiting for us in the fridge! Special touches ! We will definitely be staying here again . Short drive to French Lick. But just enjoyed staying at the cabin too! Great ambiance .

My family and I truly enjoyed our time at the Wise Old Owl Cabin. They have truly thought of EVERYTHING you might want or need to make it a great getaway. My husband and I have stayed at several cabins before and none of them compare to the thought and care that the owners have put in to every detail. You can stay at the cabin and relax in the hot tub, play games, sit by the fire and make s'mores, or read a book while you swing. There are many attractions nearby as well if you feel like getting out and about - visit the caverns, go to the lake, go-cart riding, water park, etc. The owners have even left a binder with all of the nearby attractions and restaurants. There is something for all ages! You will love everything about your visit! We will definitely be back soon.-McFarland Family

This is absolutely perfect cabin ever! The owner greets you upon arrival . Gave a home tour explaining absolutely everything you need to know! Then after that you didn't see her for the rest of the visit 😉My husband and I had the top loft with the wonderful bathtub 🛀 💕 we slept like babies!Thank you for opening you're home to the public! This cabin is the PERFECT place to get away with your family, friends, or for a small retreat. We took our 3 kids age 5,7, and 11. They loved playing outside and down in the basement where they felt they had their own "get away". This was perfect to give us some quiet time to ourselves in the evening. We stay in a lot of nice hotels and this cabin is cleaner than a 5 star! The owners are so nice and hospitable. You can tell they put a lot of love and warmth in the cabin. We were so sad to leave and can't wait to go back. This is a must for busy families who need to wind down, connect, and get away!

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Debbie and Butch are great people that really want everyone that stays at the cabin to have a perfect stay and it shows. It is the cleanest place I have ever rented and is a great feeling to know it is well taken care of. I could write all day of all the great things that they have to offer but their website says it all. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely be back!!!!

Super clean. Super nice. I have never stayed in something as accomodating as this. They provide everything from laundry detergent to dish washing detergent. Reminds me of how good things used to be back when people cared and were passionate about thier services. The property is excellent and 10 minutes from several boat ramps on Patoka Lake. We will be making this our go to spot for the annual holiday family trip.

This home/cabin is well worth the money. It is well supplied, very clean, and has ambiance unmatched for us compared to past rentals. Plenty of plush towels, dishes and cooking utensils, hot tub, swings on 2 porches (1 screened), mood lighting, space, very comfortable beds and nice linens, quiet air conditioning, beautiful wood interior and floors, corn hole game,and plenty of owl decorations! Close to Lake Patoka and its beautiful waters for pontooning, fishing, and tubing. Marengo cave nearby. We hope to return to this area.
