The place is ok. The cabins are not great but not terrible. I question whether they actually cleaned the bathrooms or not. Maybe they did a quick wipe down. I don’t know… It's been questionable every time I’ve been there. I used to go with a group of men for an annual fishing trip, we did this for 6-7 years. We took a break for a few years and I started it up again this year. Things at the resort have gone downhill since we were there last. It was a bit questionable before, it’s even more so now. On top of that the office staff is slightly rude, not very helpful, and there’s just a general feeling they’re trying to pawn everything off on me the customer. I get bad vibes about it so I won’t go back… It’s sad because it’s convenient, but there are at least a few other options around that are even more convenient.

We will not stay again. There are nice cabins closer to town. There is nothing close within 20 minutes. If you arrive after the office closes, good luck finding your cabin in the dark. You can't see anything. It took us forever. We also lost the gate key that we didn't even want and was charged 50.00. they have a number pad and should offer the option to use a code to get in instead of this tiny plastic key that you are going to lose. It doesn't even have a landyard on it to hang from your mirror. So if you put it in your pocket like me, expect to pay and extra 50.00 when you leave. We had cabin six and the cabin was clean and nice. The hit tub was perfect. The stairs to get upstairs are a deathtrap

They forced us to pay an extra $150 for "excessive pet hair" that was 100% not ours. Accused us with bogus pictures of white dog hair, none of our dogs are white. Both my mother and I paid to have our dogs boarded due to their "no pet policy". We have receipts to confirm this. Rebecca was the host we communicated with through VRBO and she was absolutely no help. Will never come back or recommend to others.

We had a great time at this resort. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The cabin we stayed in was very clean and well organized. We were very impressed and would definitely go back. I wish their website had better/more pictures of the rooms and that loft spaces were not listed as bedrooms, but overall this was a great place to stay and very well run.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Amazing views everywhere you look. The cabin was really nice and clean, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and there was also a very nice clean game room. I do want to mention that the hot tub could have used a better cleaning in between people's stays. But after asking for a chlorine tablet, a maintenance guy showed up without disturbing us at all and put one in, and they were super nice about it. After that the water cleared up and looked a lot better. Overall it was an amazing stay and we most definitely will be returning. Thank you all!

My wife made reservations for labor day weekend our anniversary with a few friends and our friends can't make it so we gave a 31 day notice and they keep 150 of our deposit and still have time to rent. There rimes for cancelation is stupid. Hope they enjoy 150 because we will NEVER STAY there again nor will our friends. 1000s lost over greed. Bad customer service. 31 day notice should be thank you see you next time.

Great cabins! Very spacious and our kids loved the pool on-site. We had an issue with the AC unit the first day we stayed last year and the owners were great getting a repair man out and he got it fixed and us back up and cool in no time! Will stay again!

The cabin was amazing! It was clean and well stocked with anything we could need. The staff didn't bother us, but were available the second we needed anything. The location was really great, too. It was a short, 5 minute walk to the lake. The cabins arent too close together either. We really felt like we had our own space. The hot tub was a nice touch.Also, we accidentally left something and the staff tore the cabin apart looking for it for us. Once they found it, they overnighted it to us. They were extremely helpful in a stressful situation! Definitely went above and beyond.Bottom line, if you're thinking about coming here, ignore the negative reviews and just come. It is well worth it. We will be back soon!

It was my first time staying here. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed ourselves! Already looking to book another trip next summer. Definitely go through the cabins since they have different amenities. The only thing that could have made it better was if the trail that leads to the lake lead to a more cleared area. The area was overgrown with weeds and didnt really have a spot to just hang out and enjoy it.

The cabins are very clean and nice. The grounds are clean as well. However, when it comes to the management staff, god awful. I have never met a more rude staff at a hotel or resort. For this being a small place in a small town, you would think that they would be inviting to everyone. The fact that they have people going around in cars patrolling everyone not following the slightest rules, it makes it a bad experience for all. the management staff should learn to not micro manage and actually let people enjoy their vacation. seems like they don’t like tourist when you’re in the darn tourist business.

The cabins were clean. The resort is remote but cabins are closer together than expected. Many amenities are not provided such as bath towels, soap, coffee, but can purchase those from the store on site if you forget. The staff was very nice. Pet friendly cabins for furry family members. The main reason we chose this location.

Could not find a newer kid friendly cabin option in area. Settled on 4 seasons because of availibilty for the weekend we were going. Lady at desk is very friendly and accommodating. Grounds seem decently kept up with. Inside of cabin was what you expect for a cheaper A frame option. Could use a deep cleaning though. We stayed in cabin 2. Very dark inside due to wood stain. Bathroom had lighter finish so was brighter. My suggestion would be to refinish to a lighter color to improve the inside feel. Beds were not the greatest but did the job. Several bugs crawling around inside of cabin but your in the middle of the woods, so... Wood for campfires is sold at front office. I felt $8 was a little rich for what you got but if you don't have any then you can't be picky. They also sell ice if needed at a more reasonable price. Overall our experience wasn't bad enough to justify a lower rating but next time we will be trying somewhere else just to get a comparison.

When I was searching a place for a family trip where we can stay in cabin, close to fishing and boating, but not far from restaurant, this place seemed like a good fit. I called up for reservation, the lady on the phone was very nice and patient. During my 2-day stay, everything was perfect. Cabin was cozy, clubhouse and pool were clean, staff was professional, boating, hiking, fishing and restaurant were all within 10 min drive. The only downside was the speed of WiFi can be faster. Highly recommended for a family getaway!

We have stayed here multiple times a year for many years and LOVED it. However, new management leaves a lot to be desired and we’re looking elsewhere for our yearly trips...- there are now additional charges for every little thing. Examples: losing your key, additional pet fee, extra person fee, a charge for canceling your reservation even a month out, $300 hold on your credit card before you even arrive which is not including the deposit you pay.-now required to wear wristbands at all times-was on a walk one morning and overheard their morning meeting. If they see anyone on the property without a wrist band they would be brought to the front office to get a new one and if they refused to wear it they would be barred from the property with no refund.-moving forward my advice would be to make your reservations with French Lick Cabins. They also have new management, but are extremely accommodating and easy to work with.Edited to add after Rebecca’s comment: these were in place but we not enforced the way they are now. Driving around like police threatening to ban people off the property lol. And we did call and discuss and canceled our reservation for Labor Day 2021. You informed us “this is the way it is now”. 🙄

Enjoyed our time in the big cabin. Nice, quiet setting, not too close to the other cabins, with a pool and little arcade directly across. Cabin was clean and had a good assortment of kitchen items. Hot tub was fabulous! Nice place to get away and close to the lake and the wine trail.

Wow! Just wow! I was totally surprised when getting here. The woman at the desk was so kind upon our late arrival, the cabin is so clean and the kitchen equipment is more than satisfactory! My family and I are enjoying the hot tub, and fire place! Kids are complaining that Wi-Fi kinda sucks, but that’s okay with me! Still have cell service(Verizon).The grounds as a whole are so clean and well maintained! This is gonna be a great weekend! Totally recommend.

My husband and I went here for our 23rd anniversary and our first ever honeymoon, we chose this place because it wasn't real far from home and the hot tub was the real bonus. When we arrived it was super clean on the inside (with exposed beams, no layers of dust on the top of them, which is a huge plus) even the lamp shades was dust free. We opened the door to a bottle of wine and some wine glasses, Thank you Patoka 4 seasons resort for the personal touch it was much appreciated. My husband and I will definitely be going back. Can't say enough about how great this place is.

My husband and I came here 4 years ago for our "honeymoon" but it was more of a family trip as we brought our 2 boys. We stayed in an A frame cabin that time and the boys LOVED it!This weekend we came back. I had to plan something quick because my teenage step son was only going to be down for a few weeks. Ginger was very accommodating and emailed me pictures of the cabins available and set us up in the perfect one for our family. We stayed in Cabin #14 and it was so cute and cozy. It had a porch swing, an outside grill, and a little fire pit. It was fully equipped with EVERYTHING you would need in the kitchen. We made the mistake of leaving our dog in the cabin unattended while we went to get cold drinks and bait when we came back he destroyed the blinds in the cabin. I was on the verge of tears when I walked down to tell Ginger what had happened. I was so embarrassed and already stressed because we were dealing with entertaining an unhappy teenager. She was super understanding and made me feel better. The price to replace the blinds was reasonable and I don't think we will bring our dog again. He's very well behaved but he just freaked out there because it was new, so don't leave your dog unattended. They have outside games as well; horse shoes and corn hole. We all had fun playing out there and taking the trail down to the lake where we were able to do some fishing. It was quiet and peaceful. They maintain the property very well and they don't bother you. Can't say enough good things about this place! My husband and I are coming back ALONE in August and are going to make annual trips with the boys here from now on!

I stayed in Cabin #1. I love this place. The cabin had a full kitchen. It was a very cute layout. A lot of nice little touches that shows the owners aren't just in it for the money. Big deck out front. Trees all around. The cabins are not 100% private, but mine was far enough away from others, that it felt very private. The owners were very friendly. Be warned, the WiFi is non-existent. The TV keeps coming in and out. But if you want to relax in the evening in front of the TV, they have some movies for rent. It was quite nice to settle down for commercial-free movies.

Very nice cabins, very nice grounds! It's about a ten minute hike through the woods to get to the lake, so this whole resort area does not have lakefront views. However, we knew that ahead of time.Hot tub worked well. We used it a couple times. Kitchen had all the utensils we needed. Our cabin had a full sized fridge. Not all the cabins do.We kayaked the blue river about a half hour away. We hiked the Hemlock Cliffs, also about a half hour away. Visited two monasteries in the area.Perhaps the only disappointing facts were the internet and the TV service. I needed to do a couple small tasks for work and the internet was not good enough to complete the task.Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Cleanest hot tub I've rented. Cabin was very dated and not cleaned well. Unless you really want the hot tub and plan on cooking your own meals instead of dining out, get a nearby hotel room or camp. I didn't feel like cabin was a good value overall. Staff was friendly, and the on site pool very clean. Spiders and ticks inside cabins - welcome to an authentic cabin in the woods!

The rates are very reasonable. Situated very close to the lake and Gilligans Boats (which I highly recommend over the marinas as they were beyond friendlier than the marinas). Very clean. And while you're in a community of cabins, you still feel somewhat secluded. What i was most appreciative of was the picnic tables. Yes, the picnic tables! They are varnished so when it rains, one swipe and theyre dry instead of soaking into the wood and staying wet for hours. Its the little things ;) Lastly, ALL staff was very friendly and behaved in a way that let you know they love what they do!

Since under new ownership this place continues to disappoint. I, my family and friends will never stay here again. We have been coming for 20+ years to hunt. We always stay in the large cabin for 7 days during the 1st week of November. At the end of our stay we always book ahead for the next year. This time we were told the price would be going up over $2,000 for the same cabin, same number of people and the same dates next year. We had no issues with the staff or the property. Going forward we will be taking our business elsewhere. Oh and the BLAZE ORANGE wrist bands are the dumbest thing EVER.

My aunt's and I have been going there every year four years and it keeps getting worse every year the lady that works in the office is very rude and should not be working with people cause she has no people skills to mention. The pool was shut down 4 days of our five day stay. The hot tub lid was broke and rigged to look working,and the patio furniture which was made of metal had broken seats that cut my rear badly. Just not worth the money we paid. Will never go back

Great place to vacation. If you like outdoors and a roual atmosphere this is the place. The cabins are old but well kept. It was amazing how great the other guests where. There's no cable only local TV. Wifi is not the best but it works. We had a hot tub had our cabin it was great. There is a lot of things to do or you can just chill in the hot tub or by the pool.

We absolutely love staying here! My husband was working on the pipeline for the last year in French Lick, Indiana and we stayed at Patoka 4 Seasons Resort for the last year. Lots of fun things to do on and off the resort property. Friendly staff and owners and super clean cabins!! We will be back!! Thank you for a great last year!!
