I shop here fairly regularly for all the little things I need when working on a project. The employees are always helpful. We've also purchased a speed queen washer and dryer an had them installed. All good experiences. They breed a special kind of cat that they frequently allow to roam the store. The kids love seeing the cat.

Crazy expensive and rarely have what you need in stock! I once made 5 trips in a row to find they were out of stock of what i needed!A heat lamp bulb for livestock was triple the price of a DOUBLE bulb package at rural king!Not sure how people are finding what they need here? I've been skunked so many times i almost never go back except for rare occasions.Employees blamed the owner!Now they are trying to sell groceries when they already needed more space for hardware items! Absolutely clueless! Everyone in town laughs at them!!

I was really excited about the opening of another hardware store near Delphi, IN. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed. The prices on items that should be very affordable are priced about 40% higher than they should be. This is on almost everything throughout the store. The customer service was polite and very helpful. I am hoping that they come to their senses soon because I have alot of tools I need, I want to support my local store, but only a fool would pay those prices. I will update this post on my next visit.

Price on major appliance was not a dollar more than the big box store and I didn’t have to travel! Staff is always polite and they even helped load everything!Definitely worth the visit.

Good place to shop if you don't want to run to the big stores in a larger city. They might be a little pricey but it equals out by saving fuel.

On 7/24 we went into this store and purchased a new dishwasher and paid for the instalation fee as well. We were told it would be ordered on the next Friday and delivered and installed the following tuesday or wednesday. Wednesday afternoon I had not recieved a dishwasher or any phone calls about when it would be delivered. I called the store and only then was I told that it was on backorder and they should have it the next tuesday and they assured me it would be delivered and installed tuesday evening or wednesday morning. The dishwasher finally got to my door on thursday 8/11 at about 3:30pm. The guys installing it worked 2+ hrs then said they did not bring the correct fittings for the water line to be hooked up. ( Keep in mind these guys do this for a living. ) They asked if they could return friday and finish the job. I said it needed to be done tonight. So they left and went to get the correct fittings from the shop and rerurned an hour later. They still did not have the correct fittings. Finally we reached an agreement that they would return on friday at 4 pm because thats the earliest anybody could possibly be home for these idiots to finish the job. They never showed up at all. Again I call the store and I'm told that the installation crew does not work past 3 on fridays and that they would not be returning to finish this job. I will be returning this dishwasher this morning and taking my business elsewhere. Sad because we had our eyes on a matching new kitchen stove and refrigerator from this store as well. Only giving one star because otherwise it won't allow to post.

True value in Delphi is a nice store, and most of their staff are helpful and friendly. The problem is with their computer system and using debit/credit cards. Today was the second time I've been in there and their system timed out and had to swipe my card multiple times to attempt to pay for my purchases. This time, after timing out, it declined my card. I wanted to continue to take my business there, so I went to an atm, paid $4 extra at the atm, and will be charged $2.50 by my bank soon. When checking the balance something wasn't right. I checked recent transactions and the original purchase had already been deducted from my bank. So now I have paid an extra $6.50 to pull out cash, to pay for something I've already paid for. I returned to the store, showed my atm receipt, and my bank app showing the purchase. I asked the lady if she could at least give me a gift card or coupon for $4 just to bring me back to their store. I explained I have no desire to come back and I have spent an extra $6.50 to return with cash when I could have just gone home.The lady then proceeded to waste my next ten minutes looking in the computer system for a receipt for my purchases. In the end I took my items off the counter and left since I had already shown her I had paid for them.I should have mentioned I'm remodeling my house and shop there frequently. They do not realize the business they have lost because they didn't even want to give me in store credit/ gift card for $4. This would have been nothing to them if I chose not to come back but I would have definitely spent more than $4 on my next trip.To anyone else who chooses to shop there, make sure you double check with your bank if you ever swipe your card more than once.
