It was time for my old and adorable Pittie to go to doggy heaven. Animal Control staff helped me and ol' Blue take this last step, together. Being that I am on a SSI type budget, the service they provide fit my budget, very affordable. Blue was my best friend. Tore me up at 63, to see him go. But the staff was amazing.

Great staff! Very nice volunteers. Cages were very clean, plenty of food and water. They take time to bring you out a cat or dog for a meet and greet even if they're busy. I wish I could adopt them all!! So if you're reading this, go see them, and adopt a new best friend today 😊

Adopted my Polka girl from here. This shelter is so much better than IACS. It's smaller and not as stressful for the animals. You really get to see their personality shine through and it helped me find the right fit for my family. Thank you, Hendricks Animal Control for helping our homeless pets and taking such great care of them!

Very generous and kind hearted animal lovers i got my dog there 9 yr old pit named kenzie they. Keep up with there animals and past animals shout out to anita she is a very helpful lady she helped alot in feeding my animals in a great time of need and shout out to julie she was the woman who recommended kenzie and she is a great dog thank you all foe being so kind

We adopted our cat from them last year on the fourth of July. Saw his picture online and immediately knew we had to go meet him. The staff was very kind and helpful, and we were able to adopt him that same day! We absolutely love our boy and are so thankful for the staff helping us get him! We also recently misplaced our folder with his medical paperwork, so we called and they were very helpful in looking it up and printing it out so I could take it to our vet.

There has been a huge mistake. The pug named Buddy was not a surrender!! He is an emotional support dog for an elder man who had a medical emergency. He has every intention to pick up his buddy. Please correct this misunderstanding. Thank you for your help.

I brought in a stray cat I had been feeding and was very impressed. Very nice clean facility with caring staff. I was happy he was well taken care of until he found his new forever home. They do wonderful adoption events and have very informative Facebook site. Very grateful to have this animal shelter.

Was not told that I couldn't adopt the same day. But that was fine. I could wait, what really got me was...the person they had call me a couple of days later should not be calling people to give them bad news!! She was so rude! She told me that she was giving me a "courtesy" call and the cat that I was trying to adopt went "home". I didn't really understand what she was talking about because never once did they tell me that I was in competition with anyone else for the kitten I wanted to adopt. So when I said I didn't understand, her words were...there was another application and we felt that it was a better home......not a better fit, a better home!!! It made me feel like my home wasn't good enough. So needless to say, I hung up and they actually did me a favor, because I found the kitten of my dreams at IACS a couple of days later. I adopted her the same day and the staff were wonderful!! I don't recommend anyone go to Hendricks Co. If you are looking to adopt and looking for a friendly and caring staff...go to IACS!!!

A very well-run shelter with nice volunteers. We adopted a dog there earlier this week and she's a delight! Be aware that there's a 24-hour waiting period between when you first meet the dog and when you can take them home.

Love the pets and adoption capabilities; however, for a center that relies on the public to adopt pets you would think their hours and policies would be more user friendly to working individuals. It is a little ridiculous to be open from 10am - 4p and require adoptive families to arrive by 4pm on working days - particularly when most businesses are open 8am - 5pm.

Went to look at adoptable pets. A good selection to choose from, but this depends on chance/luck of the draw, as to how many animals are available. A good pet is a priceless companion. Ensure you know the ins & outs of owning a particular animal before you adopt, so you won't be unpleasantly surprised.

The animals are clean, well cared for and loved. The people will help you decide on your future fur baby. You can meet with the animal and play with them to help with your decision. You can get a forever best friend.

Nice folks, but make sure to bring the exact amount... I had to go to Kroger near by because they could not give me change. It also could have been because I was there at opening time, but even then they went to the bank already that morning so they could not offer change back.

Whatever staff member my girlfriend and I keep talking to trying to drop off cats for the past week and a half is judgemental and rude AF when we're trying to do the right thing and not let these cats be sick and possibly die from whatever they're sick with. Didn't realize guilting folks for trying to be responsible was part of the job.
