Melissa cut all of my toy poodle’s fur off. April 2024 Crown Point location. And his first birthday is coming up. I am Not happy at all. Then I notice the lie they like to tell us is that the fur is matted so they have an explanation to why they cut your dog’s fur. Just be honest and say that you made a mistake! My dog gets groomed every four- 6 weeks max, no one has ever had a problem with his fur being matted. Just lies! He has never looked so terrible. Thanks Melissa.

I like the way they cut my puppy’s hair, they do an amazing job. He’s a cockapoo and i pay around $70 for him. Ive never had any problems accept for the last time he went which was around a week ago. They cut way too close to him and when my aunt bought him back he had a cut on his private area. Thats my only problem the close cutting. But the lady had told my aunt they had cut very close so he would be irritated, but nothing about the cut which is now scabbing

We have been visiting the CP location for atleast a year. My dogs are not excited about any sort of grooming activities and they do so well here. The girls are so loving and excited to see my dogs every single time. I am so sad to have to change locations due to a move, but we are off to the next Smoochie pooch location! Our experience has been amazing! I am so happy we found Smoochie Pooch! The groomers are always smiling and welcoming when we arrive. Our groomer, Angelica Powers, is awesome. She makes my 14 year old Abby look like a precious pup. I have referred them to my god-daughter and she loves how they groomed her Peyton and will also continue to be a loyal patron! You should try them, too!

I took my two Himalayan’s there for Kaitlyn to do lion cuts on them and she did a fantastic job. It was my first time there and we will definitely be back. The price was very reasonable and the staff was very friendly. Great job.

Absolutely love Jordan! This was only the 2nd time at a groomers for our 6 month old goldendoodle and we don’t have to look any firthet. Her meticulous focus on details was apparent and more so, our puppy loved her.

Very unprofessional owner/management. There was a scheduling discrepancy which led to them charging a card (I’d never given permission to keep on file in the first place) full price due to a “no-show”. The situation was: I had received a confirmation email with the appointment date/time and all seemed fine until two weeks later, the receptionist who called to confirm, confirmed a different date, for 2 days later than the actual appointment. I didn’t realize that until I was checking my emails the following day and saw an email with a receipt from them, and an explanation with the full price charge for not showing up. Mind you, I had been taking my pet to this salon for about 7 months regularly, even though they kept raising their rates. I called to explained that I was given misinformation, and asked if they would correct the mistake, to no avail. The “manager” stated that regardless of their staff giving me the wrong information, the original email stated the correct information, and I should’ve gone off of that. I later learned that the “manager” was the one who gave me the wrong info in the first place! She supposedly took down my name and number and said she’d have the owner contact me to clear things up…I never received any call or contact from them, at all.I loved the groomer that worked with my pet but, that place is horribly managed and over priced.

Best place to take your pup! Not only does quality cuts/baths/trims, but the staff is great. I think when it comes to pets, it's most important that you know you are leaving them in good care and I know that the girls who work there are all animal lovers through and through. One of the groomers, Ashley Young, in particular is so sweet and great at working with dogs she always does consistently great work. Nothing better than dropping your pup off and knowing they will be coddled, cuddled and kissed as much as they want, and also look spiffy and fresh when you pick them up. Plus Ashley also goes the extra mile with pizzazz, with adorable bows and bandannas.

My wife took our Goldendoodle to Angelica in the Crown Point store. We were nervous due to his anxiety and his having shown some aggression towards groomers and vets before. Angelica did great with him and even called my wife a couple of times to reassure her that he was doing great! We will definitely take him to her again. Thanks, Angelica!

Stephanie completely ruined my dogs hair cut. She cut All the hair off his ears, shaved his feet. He is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, not supposed to cut feet or ears. She told me his ears were extremely matted and I had just run a comb through them. Never going there again!

I cannot say enough about Ashley and Jordan! They are rock stars. Not only does Ashley do a fantastic groom on both of my high maintenance dogs, she and Jordan were so helpful when my dog accidentally stepped on my car lock button and locked me out of the car with him inside. I had no phone, no purse, nothing. While my Archie napped in the car, Ashley got busy calling every locksmith around. Jordan was also so helpful in being there for me and keeping me company outside in the rain. Despite the fact that they were closing, they both insisted on staying with me until the locksmith could get there. These girls went above and beyond to help me in a really stressful situation. They will always have my business!!

I recently made an appointment for my dog to get groomed at this small store. He felt ill the day of the appointment so I had to cancel. I was told that I will need to provide a Dr note to prevent a charge. I went to the vet and thank goodness he was diagnosed with allergies. I took the note to the small store in Crown Point, Indiana and was approached by a big rude old man. He was talking loud with a demeaning tone. I showed him the note and he states the reason for canceling the appointment was not an emergency. I told him yes I did have to take him to the veterinarian since I couldn’t determine what was wrong with him. He’s not a Dr so he was judging me. The big old man proceeded to copy the note and threw it cross the counter towards me. By the looks of the store, he could use the money. It’s very plain, smelly and old. It looks like a cheap resale shop. I don’t think they like people of color so be careful going to this small dirty establishment. The staff member was rude and racist.

If there was an option for zero stars, I would’ve chosen that one. For all of you who really love your pets, please do not take them for grooming here. The groomers do not care about your pet, it is simply a job for them. I took my toy poodle for grooming, and within the hour, I had to pick her up and rush her to the vet. The groomer had cut a hole into her neck and her blood vessels were exposed. At the time I picked her up, the groomer said he spoke to the manager, and the manager agreed to pay the vet bill. I also personally spoke to the manager, and he again agreed to pay the bill. However, after I explained the seriousness of the situation and the options for treatment, the owner cowardly left me a voicemail stating that he would NOT pay the vet bill. He also told me I can call back with any questions. I tried to call him for days, but he would not answer my calls. His staff did, however, answer my husband’s call (different number), and as soon as my husband explained the situation, the worker quickly told him that the manager was unavailable. I could go on and on, but at the end of it all, these people did not even have the respect to apologize for what they did to my dog. They just continued to make things worse. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone!!!!

I got my cat groomed by them, worst cut ever. She had to be shaved due to knots in her fur. They called to tell me she was stressed & they had to stop. When I picked her up she was in her carrier, I paid & groomer or receptionist never mentioned or offered for her to come back to finish. My cat literally has razor marks on her body, nothing was smoothed out, she still has full fur on head, neck, feet & most of her tail. The rest of her is shaved, but like I said not smoothly. Looks like they did a Schnauzer cut on her. Definitely do not recommend. Of course I was charged full price.

The groomers I've had did a great job. I brought my dog here at least 6 times, and never canceled. I had an emergency with my son and he was very sick. I had to cancel my appointment. When I called in the morning they told me they had to still charge me for the service since I hadn't canceled 24 hours in advance. I explained the situation to them, and that I am a loyal customer who had never had to do this before. They said sorry this is the policy. So I asked, "how are you going to charge me if you don't have my card information?" The girl couldn't answer me. Sure enough later that day my card had a charge from them on it. So they pulled an old transaction up and got my card info from it and charged me. Incase you don't know, this is illegal. I never signed anything agreeing to this policy, and I don't have an account with them that permits them to keep card information handy, which is what makes this illegal. This is a huge violation of customers financial privacy and a red flag when it comes to the privacy of your card information. I contacted my bank and after investigating they were forced to refund me my money. This is out of line and I will never go to this business again.

I picked up my sister dog and she was perfect. The customer service and the groomer are just supper nice and awesome. My groomer went out of her way to make millie beautiful. Had a appt.with them for my 2 poodles. Day before they call and say one of the groomers has family emergency can only do one. Well I like to keep them together on schedule, so I didn’t go. They charged me 69$. When I called to ask why, since you cancelled. She said she called right back saying they could do both. Well I don’t hang around my phone anticipating another call from smoochie pooch saying they can take both call or voicemail. It’s on their end not mine. Keep my 69$ IM NO LONGER A PATRON. Besides they’re expensive, and for a missed appointment which I have with regular human Dr.’s and haven’t received missed fees, theirs is almost as much as a human Dr.
