I like picking up my orders that I place online. Unfortunately, the website won't accept my health benefit card, so I had to shop in store. Groceries were essential to prepare for a potential ice storm. It was darn cold that day and the store was busy! Understandably, my cashier was stressed out! It was apparent from his facial expression that he had as feeling overwhelmed. When I attempted the transaction, it failed. The cashier was quite upset that I entered my pay card incorrectly,clearly my mistake. I became flustered and apologetic, feeling anxious and wanting just to leave. I offered to step aside to let others go ahead of me so I wasn't holding up the line. ( This cashier has an opportunity to win over me as an elderly customer, as well as the others that were in line. A refresh breath, some assurance that nothing is broke and 'we'll just rerun the order', could have made it a better experience for everyone.) Another cashier was called over to run my order and the transaction was seamless. No one offers to help load groceries in the car anymore. I continued to awkwardly apologize as I left the store.

Kroger is great. I am a bargain shopper, so, by default, I generally go to Walmart; however, often when I'm at Walmart and something is out, I'll plan to run to Kroger after. They always have what I need.

Been here many times, even worked as night stocking a long time ago. Kroger is an alright company I suppose. They have a few selections that walmart doesn't. My main complaint is that it always smells like raw nearly spoiled fish. As soon as you walk in the front door, bam,in your face. The pricing for food seems to be a little more here than Wal-Mart. But these are the only two big stores in town.

Dirty nasty store! Their fresh seafood is so not fresh it smells up the whole store. We live in Crawfordsville and go to the Brownsberg store.

I was there 2 times and I asked about the free lottery ticket and she said no because she didn't get a chance to ask me. she wouldn't give me one, nor did she even ask me the first time. she was rude and her name was Tonya. it doesn't work like that. she didn't ask.

Cream filled donuts and free samples of cheese. I don't get the free cheese sample now that I'm an adult, but I can reminisce. I don't really like cheese anymore anyways. The staff is friendly, and I like the layout.

The Kroger grocery chain is totally ridiculous. It’s not aimed to take care and help the customers. Their selections of other brand names are very limited. They push out the Kroger brand over other brands and limited the brands in order for you to select theirs.. their isles are slim to constantly maneuver your way around other people. The bakery area is ridiculous. Very small limited to bread. God forbid if you don’t get there in time for a rotisserie or fried chicken because they only want to cook up so much a day and then you gotta fight to get one. They should have been preparing upon the opening of the store.customers shouldn’t need to be push off waiting for any of these hot foods. Considering you close the other store location in Crawfordsville only cause overcrowding to one store in this town! Meat department, asked about porterhouse steak, T-bone, ect. Told the meat is shipped already packaged. No real meat butcher in house. We will never receive those steak. Wow! I totally agree with another review that mentions employees talk too much, via working.Your self checkout system constantly going down while ringing up items. Then the lady assisting is very slow and reaching the customers and correcting the problem. Definitely no enthusiastic about resolving it so my question to you Kroger get your systems, working correctly. My time is important to me to be able to shop and get out rather it taking an hour because what you got to keep in mind the customers walking around your store, filling their basket up and get to the cashier and there’s problems and there’s problems resolve your system. I am so sorry you’re the only store there is in Crawfordsville.

Love this Kroger most the time, but not today! I have a hyper 1 year old that was trying to get out of my arms while my husband was using self checkout. He was being a little rowdy (not screaming or anything) just trying to squirm out of my arms so I was holding him in a weird way. I look over and the older women employee standing in the self check out area made a face at me and then looked at her coworker and laughed. It was very embarrassing for me. When we were walking out she was still laughing at us and in the most condescending tone said “have a good day”. She obviously never has been a mother with small children and it shows. I wish the north side Kroger was still around, it was a much friendlier place.

The store is the absolute worst grocery store. Every time we come it never fails that something is priced wrong with an old price or ordered wrong. The deli is the worst department of them all. I can't believe that Boar's Head would be associated with deli like this. I will drive the extra 25 minutes to a grocery store that cares about its customers and provides much better service.

I waited by the deli for 1 hour. I got there 10:55am asked the lady if fried chicken was going to be available soon I was told after 11. I said okay thank you. I proceed to get my groceries in store. After getting all my groceries I go back to the deli. Now 15 minutes goes by and the lady was stocking the hot food section (chicken livers and etc). I proceed to ask how much longer for the fried chicken. She stated “when I have a minute I can mix it”. She had plenty of time to bread the chicken and fry it. The gentlemen waiting on a rotisserie chicken waited way less time than me! I received my chicken at 11:55am! That is ridiculous! I am beyond disgusted with this Kroger. If the employee did not stand and talk to other coworkers that kept coming to her then maybe I wouldn’t of had to wait 1 hour for my chicken.

This store is not able to handle this growing town. Its too small and becomes way to chaotic and frighteningly packed lines. Also as trying to compete with the larger chain competitor down the road with offering online shopping is for the birds. They cannot get it right as they do not have x number of products compared to others. Not to mention being hit with the carts, the store is too small to have these large carts hauling around. Every time I shop here I end up having to go to other places to get everything I need. Which I shouldn't have to drive multiple places to fill my grocery list.

I think I will just start shopping at Walmart. I got food poisoning from a veggie tray, said it was washed and ready to eat. 3 days later my gut is still messed up.Not worth it.

Crawfordsville Kroger has thee worst deli ever. Nothing is never stocked. If they are out of fried chicken and ask em to make some they start having additudes. It makes me feel like I did something wrong. They never wanna help you , sometimes they act like they don’t see you standing there waiting patiently. They huff and puff and make u feel like you did something wrong. Please stock you cold fried chicken, your potato salad, your bread 🥖 ect.…. And please be nice to people who would like service, don’t wanna feel like we’re scared to ask for something.

On November 24th 2020 I placed an order for fried chicken and mashed potatoe family dinner to be ready on November 25th 2020 at 8pm. Arrived at 7:55pm to be told my food still had 15-20mins left. Make note that I had to leave work to come pick it up so I ended up being late back to work.. And the kitchen looked disgusting!!! How can anyone work in this type of environment?? So disgusted I almost didn’t want the food.. With this being a Deli/ hot food service’s it definitely should be kept clean!! Very disappointed.

They have the best seafood and fish to pick out and you have a choice of your favorite garnish add some butter then bake in your oven to specifics! Makes for a delicious and healthy meal.

5/5! I love this Kroger. I'm in this store all the time and usually late at night when they are filling the shelves. The employees are extremely cheerful and kind. They are always willing to help. Prices here are wonderful too. Produce is always fresh.

This place is quite messy and it looks like the aisles are rarely ever restocked. I went through self checks so I can’t say if the workers are polite or not, though a few did smile at me. All in all I don’t like buying food from a dirty store.

People were very friendly but the Isles were not stopped very good and they did not have out anything of the creamer that I wanted and the gentleman said he could not even get back there in there to see if they had any because it was packed too full.

This store is always clean and the check outs are always quick and precise. But they just can't seem to keep the dairy stocked with the large tub of cottage cheese or the 18 ct eggs. 9 outta 10 they do not hv any large tub cottage cheese and we hv to hunt down someone to go get us 3 or 4 tubs. Once there were 3 other people there too waiting for the same thing. Today there was one tub and we took it. We go thru 2 to 3 tubs a week. But also today there was just one 18 ct eggs and we took it.

Meat counter in the pork section was poorly stocked. I'm not from around here, maybe pork is not popular. I was looking for pork burgers... no luck. Rest of store seemed well stocked and clean.

Since its local I go here all the time for just about everything. Their produce is the best around. Their customer service is great, and whatever they don't have they can get you. They always have deals on almost everything.

I like this store. I do a lot of my shopping here. However, at about 2pm on Dec. 6th my parents and I were checking out. Our guy bagger and girl cashier were talking and holding a conversation while we were checking out. Apparently holding a conversation about Facebook and gender swap pictures was more important than properly putting goods in a paper bag. (Although the bagger seemed proud of himself.). Once we took the groceries to the car I lifted up the sack and all the two liters of pop fell out from the bottom. I guess our guy bagged put more items in a sack than should have been in there. Maybe had he actually paid attention to his job this wouldn’t have happened. Oh and the lady cashier is just as guilty since she thought it ok to keep socializing rather than redirect him. The bagger had a full or partial sleeve tattoo. (Not that I’ve got anything against tattoos since I have three myself.). This was at the cash register right by the new self checkouts near the exit sliding doors. I hope the management sees this and our associates learn a lesson in professionalism.

Great big and open. Easy to find stuff and have many options. Staff is hit or miss. But over all its a well rounded store for having a monopoly on the grocery game in Indiana
