I loathe the self, check out. The computer chick is a complete nag. And although it's obvious what you are supposed to do. She can't seem to shut the heck up even though you're doing it.. They really need to modify their system. Walmarts is not near as irritating.

Extremely Disappointed. Went to the deli to get the normal great JayC fried chicken. Get it home and start eating it. It is absolutely Not the same Chicken. someone ruined the recipe. It's the worst fried chicken we've ever had now

Not my favorite place to shop but it is close to my house. Selection is very limited. Several items aren't available. Seems that they stock while the store is open and then act like you are in the way....so I just found out that they added 5 days to the pork chops I purchased yesterday

This store always has what I need in stock & that beats saving $0.04 on a can of soup. Also- if you clip digital coupons (before going into the store since the signal isn’t great in there), you will find that it’s cheaper than Walmart. Cashiers actually check you out & bag your groceries….like a real grocery store!!! And people are available & happy to help. 💙

Have fun standing in line for 30 minutes just to end up checking out and then bagging your groceries while an employee stands over you and watches. This place has slipped so far. Im to the point that I'd rather just go to Walmart. They are horrible, but at least I don't wait in line to do everything myself for 30 minutes.

An older store with a good cross section of items available. What makes this a four star is the people who work there are friendly and helpful and want you to have a good shopping experience. Not as large as other stores but they try hard to make it clean, organized and neat. It is also close to several other places like auto parts and food we patronize so it is also convenient.

Love this grocery! It is so much easier to get what you need and get out-unlike larger groceries, but they have great quality produce and meats. I feel like they do a great job of carrying a good variety of practically everything. So, I would rather go here than anywhere else if I can.

Always a pleasant visit there. Everyone friendly and helpful. Like the idea of directing to checkouts that are less busy. Love the light Kroger French Silk ice cream and the Pineapple Cocanut Yogurt they carry. Nice store with great people. This store have things the large super stores don't have. Like the sales they have on a variety of things and coupons I receive in mail.

It's a good small-town grocery store. Usually stocked well and not very crowded. I wish they would consistently keep jalapenos in stock though--- it's usually a 50/50 chance that they'll have them. I hate having to run to Walmart to get them. I like that I can use my Kroger account there. Staff are top notch- helpful and friendly.

The store is small, so there's not a lot in the way of variety (especially for cat food, both hard and canned), nor in energy drinks.The staff is friendly and their discounted assorted donut dozens are good.This is also a good place to get the cotton candy flavored grapes.

It's a supermarket a smaller store clean and has everything needed. The deli not one of my favorites but clean and helpful. I don't like pre sliced meat they do this here to save time not sure of the benefits but not my thing. Also cashiers stand at the end of the aisle asking if your ready to check out. I know when I'm ready check out although nice has no benefit. Thier time would be better spent doing something else. The one thing that is great here you don't see often is there are several cashiers therefore lines are not ridiculous.

Great place to shop. Every one is extremely helpful and friendly. Meat and produce is fresh. Usually have short lines at checkout. Very good selection in all sections. But the employees make all the difference.

English JayC is the neighborhood premium grocery store. The store is kept clean and the Staff are friendly and helpful. The produce is very good and the available berries are favorites. The deli offers potato salad and tasty fried chicken!

I love Jay C's. I was concerned when Kroger bought them out and I used to hate how they changed the signs above the aisles. They used to only say what was only on one end of the aisle and not the far end. They fixed that. Their deli fried chicken is better than anyone's when it is fresh and they do an excellent order business for big orders. There are better grocery stores out there but not in Corydon. I go to them first, every time.

The staff is always super helpful and friendly. I love the points earned by using my Jay C/Kroger card. Saves a ton on gas. Plus, you get double points during weekends.

Store manager is very very rude. I got spoiled mushrooms from them. Almost ate them, that would be big law sue! I hope Jac C big bosses see this and will do something about this and rude manager!!

Why is there no restroom? Very inconvenient. They have a very good meat department and newly added self checkout which is easy to use. Love the fuel center too.

Since being bought out by Kroger, this store has greatly increased the variety of foods sold here. They also offer a wide range of low cost options and the reward points when using a Jay C card can save you a bundle in gas.

good selection is the only positive thing I can say, Typical set up like Kroger. Prices are OUTRAGEOUS! Anywhere from 1.50 to 2.50 higher than Kroger in Brandenburg or Etown. Produce quality is hit and miss. I have seen fruit flies and gnats buzzing around. I would not chance buying seafood here because the fishy smell is overwhelming from 5 feet away! I am from a coastal state and know what raw seafood is supposed to smell like and this isn't it. Meat selection is limited and skyhigh prices. The 3 times I have been in here the floor had spilled liquid on it that had been tracked down the aisle. I am glad I do not live in Corydon because this would be my only choice, other than Walmart to shop. Corydon needs a competitor to give them a run for their money!

I have always liked Jay-C store, except for they have always been a little bit higher than everyone else other than their owner Krogers. Jim Carpenter from the Corydon Jay-C store when it was down on Indian Creek gave me my first job. He and Bob Decker argued back and forth as to who was going to hire me. Bob was the meat manager and Jim was the store manager and I loved both of them dearly they were wonderful people.

My rating is strictly for the donuts. I was so surprised at the selection and quality of their donuts. By far, the best grocery store donuts we've ever had.
