Store is over crowded and understaffed. Half the staff is rude, non helpful, and know very little about the store and the products they sell. There is always rolltainers in the isles and you can not access half the isles or the merchandise down those isles. This is not all due to neglectful staff or their inability to keep staff for more than just a very short period; this is 95% the corporations negligence to maintain the proper amount of merchandise throughout the store; they have excess amounts of some products while others have been out of stock for months.

I try to never go to a Dollar General but occasionally have to because of choices in our rural area. This particular Dollar General was wonderful when it opened but has fallen into typical Dollar General mess, over crowded with junk, too much junk in aisles, stuff left in aisles to be put away. Just can't stand the disarray of the store and products.

The Dollar Store in clay city is nice, and so is the one in Ellettsville. Clay City is my favorite.♥ I do Wish they had bigger auto, bathroom, and tools sections and, were faster at getting people checked out (that part universally kind sucks), but still worth going, especially for a those last minute things. But Dollar General Spencer, Indiana is a joke!
