I set an order to be picked up at 7pm. I get to the store around 6:40 and call the store like it says to do on the sign. She tells me that the order I placed at 7am the same day wasn’t ready. She told me it would be about 20 minutes. I said okay that’s fine. I’m currently still sitting here at 7:50 waiting on my groceries I ordered. At this point what’s the point of even ordering groceries to be picked up when you still going to be waiting at the store for over an hour. Absolutely worst customer service I have ever had. When you can to ask why your order isn’t ready you get hung up on and attitude.

Nice early morning selection with full shelves. Slightly pricey with some selected great deals. Restrooms clean (single toilet). The older cashier was a little pushy.

They carry a very WIDE selection!!! Their bakery is AWESOME 👌!! And I swear their pharmacy (Osco) is prob THE BEST outta ALL of them!! AND THEY HAVE STARBUCKS...!!!?! Plus EVERY summer they have the BEST sales on floats/pools/chairs!! GREAT selection of flowers 💐 too..!!!

Just went there after working out in the gym,so I was kind of a mess.However,your cashier Cathy is not friendly,and acted disgusted when I came up.I was in a good mood and said Hi,and she acted like she was bothered.Maybe,her name should be Karen.Dont be nice to customers you choose,but try to be nice to all customers.

I am looking at this weeks adds and getting tired of seeing only on line for pick up with coupon for a certain day to order and pickup up .. 1st of all I don’t do the order on line and store pick up .. i do the coupons on line and shop at your store but coupons to me should be for everyone and let us choose either ways to shop .. you maybe loosing a customer..

Fresh produce, friendly staff. Watch for sales. They have an excellent butcher counter for fresh meat and seafood.

The store was great. No issues with the store or shopping. But we got to the register to check out and our cashier was HORRIBLE, she must have been a high schooler from the looks of it. The whole track by the register was covered in blood from someone’s meat. She refused to clean it up, rolled her eyes and continued to ignore us. The lady who bagged our items was not placing them in the cart for us.. We did let someone know on our way out, was not sure if the message was relayed to a manager. We love driving 20+ minutes away and coming to this store for the deals. It is sad that this generations work ethic is not like it use to be and they get away with it.

I've shopped here for years. The weekly specials are great. The store is well stocked and clean. They carry quite a few things that other stores don't and the layout is really easy to navigate. The quality of the meat is fantastic.

I've been shopping at Jewel for as long as I have lived in Chesterton. Although I am the kind of weirdo who wears my sunglasses inside as to avoid eye contact no matter the time of day or night; I have always noticed that the staff is friendly, and they recognize their long time shoppers and greet them accordingly.

Osco has a great selection of outdoor toys for Spring Break. I bought 2 kites and some bubbles to play with.

I don't go here without checking the app first. You have to check out the weekly deals...clip them first, and then when you enter your phone number at the register, it applies. After so much spent, you can also earn rewards. Those can then be applied to free items, money off your total bill, etc. It's not my go-to for everything on my shopping list, but some deals are definitely worth the trip!

Disappointed in this establishment. I went to this location in Chesterton and the amount of disrespect and disregard was ridiculous. I get in the deli line, ticket and all and was ignored by a short old white lady. I was clearly the next person in line and she took two other customers over me. She looked me dead in my face and still accommodated the two customers. The customers are just as bad because no one wanted to say well I’m not next in line. What is the point of having tickets and a line if it’s disregarded.

Jewel needs to give all customers their special discounts not just those who have cell phone apps or computers to access the discounts. The receipts show inflated prices and then claim we are saving huge amounts. Not true. People are not happy with these special discounts for special customers.
