I wish I could give 5 stars because usually the pharmacy employees are very sweet and respectful, especially Emily! However, today I called about a prescription and the lady I spoke to (not sure whom she was I have never spoke to her ever before) could have been a little nicer, it only takes a few seconds to say thank you, you too. I said thank you for your help and I hope you have a good day and she just hung up. :(

I experienced the most awful pharmacy visit of my life today. A HIPPA violation was committed and has since been reported to both corporate and the DOH. On top of that, pharmacist Isabella Stevens lied to me about company policy, treated me in a very condescending way, and wouldn’t acknowledge anything wrong with giving my medicine (controlled substance) to an unauthorized person that was not on my pick up list. A phone call would have sufficed. I have never had a problem here but I’m done with this CVS until Ms. Stevens is let go and some measures are taken to right this unfathomable wrong. State Senator Rodney Pol Jr will also be bringing this to the attention of the Senate chamber in the coming day in session. We will both be letting our people know what is going on at this location. STAY AWAY!!!

Choose a better pharmacy! They tell you they have the medication and to send your prescription there, when other CVS locations are out. They "guarantee" on the phone it will be FILLED IN FULL, but when you go to pick it up, they try to scam you and say they will only fill "half" of your 7 day prescription.

It’s a terrible pharmacy. Multiple times my prescription has been on back order and the pharmacy doesn’t inform you. The only way I found out is by calling them myself. Pharmacy techs were extremely rude when I spoke to them about this. Would not use this location if you expect anything resembling decent service

Worst CVS in the area by far to the point it you wonder how the experience is so poor compared to elsewhere. CVS staff at other locations go out of their way to contact doctors, keep you in the loop, and help you obtain prescriptions. This location can't even help you in-store when you have a prescription already ready. Issue is with employees and management, not CVS itself. One visit an employee didn't even recognize/know what a passport and tried to take it like I was a teenager with a fake ID or somethinng.

They're just not a great pharmacy. The people who work there are nice and all that, but the mistakes are rampant. There's not enough training or something, because it's constant insurance issues and incorrect dosages. Quite often we are expected to live with the mistake they've made, which is highly inappropriate when we are talking about stimulant medication, because "it's a controlled medication". They can't ever seem to give my ADHD child the right thing, or on time, so her grades are in the toilet because she can't focus. If it's controlled shouldn't it be correct then?! Since Walgreens is just as messy as this CVS, I am not sure where I'm supposed to go now, but I'm done with this pharmacy as soon as we find a new one.

I just went in about 10 mins ago and I had the worst experience Ashley at the minute clinic was loud and unprofessional I felt so uncomfortable and I’m sure she made everyone waiting uncomfortable with how loud and on edge, her words was disrespectful, and I felt verbally attacked.I came on time for an appointment and even after how i patiently waited because she was busy she still had the worst and unprofessional attitude I ever experienced in a work environment

I used to love using this pharmacy. The staff and pharmacist were all super kind and accommodating. As of the last couple Months and the changing of staff, I cannot stand coming here. They make everything such a hassle. I’ll get texts and even call and make sure my medication is ready for pickup. Then I’ll get here and they’ll say they didn’t get it, or they’re waiting for insurance approval etc.. the pharmacist I spoke with last night was super rude. I’ve never seen her before she has to be new. But she was extremely condescending with everything I asked. Which was super unappreciated considering the questions I was asking were completely realistic. CVS in Chesterton you really need to evaluate you Staff and stand by your standards. “Our mission at CVS Health is to take on many of the country's most prevalent and pressing health care needs by understanding and acting on what consumers want and need — personalized, people-centered care that treats them like a human being, not a number” practice your mission statement and quit treating your customers like they’re nothing.

The staff is always kind and accommodating.Moxie and I know just about everyone by their first name. The Front of store as well as the Pharmacy .The reviews are a bit harsh.People need to remember, EVERYWHERE is short staffed these days! Patience is a MUST!And the Pharmacy has much more to deal with then one can imagine. Most do not realize. The pharmacist has to approve every script on top of vaccines, filling scripts, taking phone calls, internet demands and much more !!!We live in a different world for now. Please consider that when reviewing. And at least add half a star.Thank You

Pharmacy won't tell you when the medicine is ready to pick up. They will tell you staff is short. Then they will tell you it will be ready at a certain time. Then when you show up at that time, they will tell you another 20 minutes... Then when you say," I'm gonna shop around and wait for it to be done." They will be ready almost immediately... This cvs doesn't care about getting people the medicine they need. It's all about making money off the most profitable medicine. Steer clear of this place. They don't care about you or your family.

Can’t Call without hearing an abundance of advertisements. Takes too long to reach the Pharmacy! Corporate needs to change the calling process. Staff is great but getting ahold of the Pharmacy is rediculous !!!

The minute clinic at this location is horrendous. The wait is always at least a half hour, even with an appointment. I witnessed the nurse, Theresa, be told TWICE by the nurse practitioner to start calling patients back. And when she calls patients names, she does it from the chair in the exam room, not even having the courtesy to get up and call her patients back. I myself am a nurse and this is poor quality of care. There have also been times I’ve come to this location for a COVID test and been berated by the nurse because of my vaccination status. My insurance pays for my healthcare, not unsolicited advice by cvs nursing staff!!

Expectations of sub-par service from CVS were already low, but this location is lower than that. If you can go elsewhere do. Even for a vaccine. If you cannot go elsewhere be forewarned- When you arrive for a scheduled vaccine appointment you may be forgotten and wait for an hour. Be prepared that you or your teenager may be insulted by pharmacy staff for asking politely when they will be seen, after already waiting 45 minutes. Bottom line - people should never be treated the way we were today.

I've never had any issues with excessive wait times or anything. Now that COVID is an issue, there's definitely a much longer line at the drive through than inside, but I usually go inside as I often have to pick up something else, other than prescriptions, at the same time.Very courteous staff and always willing to help and answer any questions that you have. Patrick is amazing.

Incredibly unprofessional. Had my doctor call in at 9 am this morning for a single dose, urgent prescription to be taken. I work midnights and have been (awake) on standby for the past 2+ hours waiting for my prescription to be filled. I called to see the status of my prescription and the representative I spoke to couldn't even find it on the computer and had to put me on hold. She came back to tell me another 30 minutes and it will be ready. This is the last time I will ever send a prescription to CVS, (where I have been going for years) and will promptly be switching to Walgreens in town. The CVS location in Chesterton is a complete joke. Don't waste your time unless you want to be trolled

It took me over 1/2 hour to find what I wanted. I had 2 very nice ladies helping me. Most of the eyeliners were at the bottom so it was very hard for me to get on my knees and even worse trying to get up. I finally found what I was looking for.

I went in looking for covid test and maybe a new thermometer. After looking I did not see the covid tests so I stepped up to the pharmacy counter to ask a young lady for the covid tests at which time they started closing the window and the pharmacist yells we're closed at 1:30 for lunch. I said I'm just looking for the covid tests at which time she tells the young lady she can't hear me. I was wearing a mask because my wife has covid and I also have been having a problem losing my voice. The young lady tells me they're by the diabetes stuff as the window closes and then she comes out and shows me their location. I want to thank her but I bought nothing and will never bother CVS again for prescriptions birthday cards etc. The pharmacist was just rude and I will never be back.

Pharmacy has many employees, but usually only one at register, creating long wait time. Also they can't seem to get refills right, repeating same mistakes and calls repeatedly. Liked Osco and Walgreens much better, but no choice due to insurance.

Julie at the minute clinic was great, the wait was over any hour but I reserved a spot in line at home so the in stone wait was minimal. Julie the NP was nice friendly and over all very helpful. And the prescriptions were sent directly to the pharmacy and we ready 5 minutes after I was done with my appointment. The minute clinic is a great option if your doctor can't fit you in.

Don't expect to pick up multiple prescriptions (that were ordered at the same time) at the same time. You will have to tell that that you actually have more than 1 script, then they will have to look it up and take another 15-30 minutes to fill any additional scripts, when thay are not busy. If they are remotely busy do not expect to get any prescriptions in a timely fashion, as they will all take several hours to fill, even if they tell you it will only take 30-45 minutes. Last month I went there 3 times in one day trying to pick up 1 script and they kept telling me they were sorry that it would be about another hour. It took them 6 hours to fill that 1 script. I'm not sure what the problem is, but there definitely is SOMETHING wrong there!

Very good customer experience. We were fighting with insurance and a script out of stock at other locations. The techs did a very good job communicating with doctor's office and us to get the authorizations and script filled. Very friendly at pickup too.

They always seem to not refill all of you scripts on time and they are barely ever ready even when they csll you to tell you it's ready !My wife went last night on a Friday at 830pm. The cvs pharmacy was closed with the sign on the window that said they are open toll 10?!?! Must be nice to just quit working whenever you want.

They charge 23.99 for a bottle of Evan Williams whiskey across the street at the grocery store or the liquor store. Here they want 35.99 for the same bottle. It's down right un American how they gouge the hell out of their customers.

Cvs offered me a refill on a prescription that insurance wasn't going to cover then failed to call to let me know of this issue. Then had the comment thrown in my face why did I wait so long. So if I didn't wait would insurance cover it sooner lol. The staff is a joke for CARE!!

If you love really really really long waits, this place is for you. Every time I am here, the drive-thru moves at a rate of 1 car every 10 minutes. It’s especially fun when you’re told they are not ready and have to drive back around.

I’ve found my desired products at better prices and received more courteous treatment at CVS than at its competitor. Although they could improve their checkout time

This is the WORST CVS I have ever been to, and I am from the South, aka CVS land. Completely in shambles, disorganized, stock and merchandise laying all over the floor. No inventory whatsoever, rows and rows of items and shelves are empty. I was absolutely appalled CVS would let one of their stores appear this way. I am not sure if management has dropped the ball or they are about to close it, but it is just awful.
