What a wonderful store to have here in Chesterton. All of the staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and informative. We came here for bird seed, and I was so surprised at how much more they have here! There's a whole section for pets that I didn't get to check out yet. I guess that just means I'll have to go back and see what they have for my cats. 😊 I also got to sign up with their loyalty program. A big thank you to the whole staff for making this such a pleasant visit. I'm proud to support this small local business.

I absolutely love Chesterton feed and garden located in Chesterton Indiana. The customer service cannot be matched! Period! If I have a question and the person who I’m asking doesn’t know the answer, they are quick to run and find someone who does know the answer. They have never been wrong about anything related to the garden that we started last summer and will be starting again this spring. This past year, we bought all of our garden materials from Chesterton Feed and garden, and We could not be happier. We bought and grew tomatoes, tomatillos, hot peppers, various herbs and bought all the soil, And potting containers, as well as one lime tree and two lemon trees, Romain lettuce seeds, compost starter kit and a few houseplants, as well as a mid century planter and stand for a beautiful snake plant that I purchased from there as well. I honestly cannot see myself going to any other nursery to purchase my materials and plants. We also purchased fertilizer and plant food as well as a grow lamp. Again, the staff has always been helpful and more than Willing to take the time to talk to us no matter how many questions we have. (And we usually have a lot!) This never happens at other stores. They never know anything about plants. But at Chesterton Feed and garden, they make sure that they hire people that know about horticulture & agriculture. I’m obsessed! Also, they have store cat that roams the premises who is super cute and so laid-back, and they also have a Koi pond that is absolutely beautiful! If you’re ever in Chesterton, you should definitely pop in and walk around! I think they would love to see you.

Often higher prices, but the best place in town to get all your gardening, yard work, pond and pet needs. They have knowledgeable staff, friendly service, and a great selection of plants. We finally got our first run of chicks from them and all the starter needs for first time chicken owners. Most places run out too fast or only have Leghorn or Comets which we weren't looking for. We got 6 total, a week old and healthy, feisty little babies! The whole family is smitten, and we now know we can get them locally!

This place is a hidden gem! My wife recently got into plants and I wanted to surprise her with some new ones. I thought that being winter they may be hard to come by, but Chesterton Garden Center had tons of options. The woman helping me was very pleasant and knowledgeable.

LOVE this place! Always so many fun and unique gifts items to look at. It’s BEAUTIFUL here with a very nice koi pond. The flower/plant/vegetable plant selection is AMAZING! They have SUPER CUTE dog items with a whole gourmet treat section and they are also DOG FRIENDLY!

One of my favorite places, been going here for 25+ years...but you WILL get sticker shock on much of their boutique-esq inventory!! They certainly try to get you any plants if they don't have them and do well taking care of their clients. They have many unique items for sure. Sales are decent as well.

I visited Chesterton Feed & Garden last Saturday to look for greens for my porch container. There was so much stuff for Christmas. Lots of fresh wreaths in multiple sizes. Beautiful Christmas trees, fresh table arrangements. They have a wonderful selection of greens for your porch containers. Check them out. They put some sparkle in my Christmas.

They have an excellent selection that changes on a near daily basis, which makes each visit a worthwhile one. They offer quick and reasonably priced deliveries. They put on fun events for people of all ages. And the staff is always friendly.They are definitely more expensive than just about every one of their local competitors. (Which is the norm for a local shop). And I don't love when they are obviously pushing products on their customers. But I still think they are an excellent garden store.

Chesterton Feed & Garden Center always had quality products. I buy 50 pound bags of wild bird seed and a young man always runs to carry the bag for me to the cat even though I say it is okay. They are friendly. Great addition to our community.

Pretty much everything you need for gardening and Landscaping is here. And a knowledgeable staff to help you out. Little bit more expensive than the big hardware stores but better service.

The variety & quality here is outstanding. They have a lot of knowledge and are very welcoming. They also guarantee your purchase. I used to always buy my hanging baskets from big retailers. But their baskets grow 4X larger and bloom till the season is over. Well worth the$.

If you want a above and beyond service, then look no further than Chesterton Feed and Garden. I have took on a project to install 3 larger flower beds at my home. I worked Hannah and Rachel and from the first phone call I knew I was in good hands. I did supply them with the design and they were able to match up exactly what I wanted for the flowers or provide alternative "like item". The whole process from beginning to end was seamless and they were kind enough to continue to follow up with me to ensure growth of the flowers and answer any additional questions I had. (which not having the best green thumb, I had a lot). I had to go in and meet them after it was all done to personally thank them for assisting me. I will continue to use Chesterton Feed and Garden for all my yard projects/maintenance. Thank you again for your service and dedication for making my garden vision a reality.

I couldn't quite do five stars because they are a little overpriced but this great mom and pop store has been around for years and years and has served its Community well. Their staff is very knowledgeable and always treats my pup like one of the family... And they have a great selection of very nice looking flowers.

This is my happy place. I get all of my plants from CFG as well as my house plants. Their staff is extremely knowledge and great to work with. The plants are always healthy and well maintained. It is great to see how much the staff loves their jobs. The prices might be higher than the big box garden centers but it is worth every penny. The store at is a nice plus.

My favorite garden center! The staff is knowledgeable, helpful and plentiful (no searching the aisles for assistance). The store's selection is amazing! They carry native plants, grass seed and soil amendments that you won't find in the big box stores. Great shopping experience!

I love going to see if I stumble across something I've never seen before. The prices are often (slightly) higher than box stores as far as common plants, but I couldn't find several plants I was looking for anywhere else locally. They even have a healthier, better variety on many of the common plants (think petunias, impatiens, tomatoes, peppers, etc.) They also have tons of landscaping stuff, outdoor decor and stuff for animals, but I mostly love them for the plants. The staff is readily available to help, and most of them are quite knowledgeable or will point you to the employee that knows about your specific inquiry.
