I got an appointment quickly, the staff all listened to my concerns. Me and my pet were welcomed and treated with kindness and care. The place was warm and cozy. I liked the treatment and advice given to me by the vet. It's worth the drive and I'm definitely satisfied. I look forward to continuing to establish a good relationship with them. 😊

I have had a half dozen experiences here involving spaying/neutering of feral cats. Their compassion for these animals is evident. Communication is always easy, making appointments via the app is simple. They are organized and professional. But it’s the care and compassion that I love the most. Every animal matters. Their staff members truly care.

I adopted my out of control dog in 2017. You have all helped in so many ways. Sometimes you have all helped in ways you didn’t know. We had to put him down today. There were only two of you today. And you both went above and beyond the norm. We’ve been working with HVH for 7 years. They were all so good to us for all of those 7 years. I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. B and the entire staff. One of the staff was crying just as hard as I was when we put him down. Thank you to everyone for all of your help. We appreciate everything ā¤ļø

I work with a rescue and tend to be here often. I absolutely LOVE this facility and the people who work here. I would highly recommend to anyone.

I recently visited with my middle aged cat who needed attention and was put at ease almost immediately by the compassionate, understanding, capable, and communicative staff at Hanover. The girl at the front desk greeted and checked me in right away - and tolerated my poor kitty's wailing from the carrier - and I didn't have to wait long before we were brought to a room for examination.April and Dr. Paula were absolutely WONDERFUL to deal with and I felt like my animal was in very good hands. They quickly and clearly recommended treatment for my cat and walked me through the entire process. All of my questions were answered before I left the office and I never once felt like I was a dollar sign or a number to the staff.Thank you so much for your expert care, and I look forward to many happy returns!!!!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE! A dog ran left in there car ran into 41 and was hit by a vehicle died instantly. Go down the street to any other vet this staff is wicked.

Vet tech was very nice and explained everything. The vet was very nice as well. My dog hates going to the vet, but they both tried to make her feel comfortable

I love this place. The staff is so good with the pets and have the patience of saints. I know our pets are getting the very best care.

Had xrays done on my dog then later called to have them sent to another Dr and Hanover said that their computer went down and they lost them. $265 for 2 x-rays now I have to get them redone. They told me that even though I paid for them that they are not my property that the x-rays belong to them. You would think that they would have records backed up on cloud so this doesn't happen. For what vets charge they should be much more careful storing pets records. Very Disappointed that they did not offer to take another x-ray to replace the ones they lost. Will take my business elsewhere.

I've been bringing my animals here for 15+ years. Everyone has always been very compassionate, understanding and patient. I trust them dearly and they've always been very kind to my animals and quite a few have been spicy but they've never given up on them. They can give you options and are always very honest with me. They answer all my questions and concerns. Special shout out to Wiebke for being such a compassionate woman all these years

I had a bad experience. I am a breeder here in St. John. Upon moving to the area I brought my puppy in for a check up and vaccinations. The tech went on about their "no fear" approach. They took my dog and said they were going to do a complementary nail and fanny trim. My puppy came back bleeding, and they blamed it on her anatomy -- however she has had several groomings and no one has ever cut her. She was fully potty trained but after that vet visit peed everywhere in the house for at least 2 weeks --- not to mention after getting home I realized I was billed for another patient, and they had mixed up my account. Needless to say it wasn't good. I will never return, if I don't have to. I have used Tractor supply here in St. John for vaccines, and Coyne Animal Clinic for visits --they are AWESOME. Friendly, professional, and affordable.

Hanover Vet have been wonderful with my very fearful dog. It took a few ā€œhappy visitsā€ and about a ton of hot dogs but today she was able to have her blood drawn and get a vaccination. They made every effort to make her feel safe and comfortable, including doing her treatments outside on their fenced in yard vs in the office. I highly recommend if you have a pet with Vet phobia!

This hospital and team deserve 10/5 stars! I can not recommend Hanover Veterinary Hospital highly enough. The entire staff is wonderful. You can tell that their number one priority is the care and wellbeing of their patients. They have truly made me and my dogs feel like family. I appreciate the care and concern they show for every pet they see and LOVE their fear free approach.

Today my dogs had their first scheduled home visit with Hanover Animal Hospital. April, who was very friendly, made the process enjoyable. I thought Dr Emily and Vet Tech Kelly we’re AMAZING, but more importantly, my rescued Greyhounds Goose and Doug, loved them! They were thorough and explained everything. They took the time to answer all of my questions and discuss a few of the animal studies that I’ve researched. Let me repeat this - my boys LOVED Dr Emily and Kelly!

My experience with Hanover Vet was amazing. This was my first visit, and the front desk person was really nice, her name was April. This was during the time when we could not go into the lobby. So, the person who came out to get my dog was so helpful and pleasant, Jocelyn. Then on my second visit we where able to go into the lobby, Covid restrictions had lessened. When you talk about ā€œFear Freeā€ clinic. They actually lived up to the name. My dog Prince has very high anxiety around strangers. They made him very comfortable, so yes, I will continue to use this Vet. I have used other vets in this area and have always been extremely disappointed. The medications are kind of high, you do have other options. But, for the most and my dog was comfortable, so it is worth it.

Not impressed. People were nice, but this place is definitely one of the more expensive places I have been to. We brought in our new kitten for a check up and shots and came in thinking it was a girl cat and they confirmed. Went to have our kitten fixed at another facility and come to find out it was actually a boy. I feel like they should have known the difference. Between that and the high prices, we won't be back.

I highly recommend Hanover Veterinary Hospital. I brought a little cat in that I found on the streets. When I took her in to be spayed they discovered she had a couple of dead kittens in her. She was brought in just in the nick of time they said. They called me at home to check on her. That is a followup from them that I really appreciated. They seemed to care about my little cat as much as I did. They are very caring and gentle. The waiting room and examination rooms are very clean. I feel their prices are affordable. But what is most important to me is the care my cat received and the cleanliness of their facility. They get a Five Star rating from me.Irene White

For the last 7 years I have trusted Dr. Eric to give my family's pets (5 dogs & 2 cats) the honest and caring attention they deserve. I admire the way he strives to make every visit better than the last one; free vaccines for life is a bonus too! So glad Dr. B. is back too - my other favorite doc! I can't say enough about the kind and efficient office staff and assistants - I love them all.

The lady who does the dog grooming is amazing!! More of a dog whisperer than Cesar!! But in all honesty, she is truly gifted and all the other staff is amazing as well. We had gone to Smith's our whole life, but after an unfortunate event, we were so blessed to find Hanover. They care more about your animal than adding charges (that you don't really need) to your bill. And if you get your dog(s) shots regularly, then the "shots for life" program is a great deal.

My wife and I took our pug to the Hanover Vet Hospital and they were great. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The doctor was incredibly professional and compassionate. It's so nice to go to a place where you know the whole staff cares very much. This was the first time we have been to a vet where the doctor recommended doing some blood work to find out what is wrong with our dog.

We had to put down our beloved Freddy of over 16 years. They were able to take us in on short notice that same day. The staff was amazing, caring, and made the whole process bearable. Now Freddy is no longer suffering and sleeping in peace. Thank You!!

I brought both of my cats here to be fixed. The female cat actually had a problem after, and they got her in immediately. They checked her out for free since she was post op. Also the staff is wonderful. My fur babies aren't the nicest outside the house and they were very patient with them.

Avoid at all cost!! I went there to put down my 15 year old dog on Saturday May 1st 2021. They told me the crematorium would pick him up that day. Waited and didn’t hear anything from them by Wednesday so I called to see if they had my baby’s ashes. Laura told me he was still there in the cooler. And I just started crying. Then she had the nerve to tell me that I checked the box for a marble box which I didn’t she told me there would be a upcharge. If this place had any compassion they would have given me some sort of compensation. Didn’t happpen. Wouldn’t bring a wild mouse there.

My girlfriend made a appointment to put her 16 yr old sick dog down they said they cleared the spot for 5 p.m., we arrived checked in at 4:55p.m. Sat until 5:25 p.m. my girlfriend agonized with the crying dog all that time. We called several times no answer, after we left we called two more times finally answered and my girlfriend told them she couldn’t handle the wait they simply said ok she would make the dr aware, I do understand it’s a business but they should treat people in this situation with a little empathy at least! It seems they don’t care!

I drive from Chicago to this wonderful caring understanding place!! And will always do so no matter what. Dr. Eric and his staff are amazing people with big hearts. They are always willing to listen to your funny stories and unfortunately at times heartaches. They even call you within the next couple days to see how your pet is doing after his/her appointment. There are very few places who go above and beyond and this place definitely does. I will never go elsewhere with my babies!

A bit pricey at times, but as of late have made the purchasing of monthly pet meds more affordable. Most importantly, veterinarians and technicians are kind, patient, and knowledgeable. I can tell they truly love their jobs and genuinely care about the well being of my pet.

I'm not one to instantly dig what you're selling, or saying. It takes a bit sometimes. I need to get the trust confirmed. My pets are a part of me and I have to trust who's caring for them.I believe that I've met everyone on the staff, and all have my trust (especially one).If you're like me, then let me say that you should give them a shot. I'm very happy with these people. They're professionals.

2 years ago Dr. Bieszczak said our girl had mast cell and wouldn't make it 3 months unless we took her to Purdue and paid thousands of dollars in chemotherapy. We changed her allergy medication (apoquel) he prescribed and she became a different dog overnight.Last week Dr. Bieszczak told us we needed to take her in for an emergency blood transfusion for an autoimmune disease that's causing anemia or put her to sleep because she wouldn't make it 48 hours. She seems better than she has in weeks and we are looking for a new vet.The rest of the staff is very nice and professional but it definitely feels like we're getting upselled every time we go in for shots.Update: she's put on weight and doing great. Again, the Vet advised that we take her to Purdue for emergency transfusion or put her to sleep.

We have received excellent care at fair prices from Hanover Veterinary. We feel confident that our pets are getting very good care from experienced doctors and staff. Well worth the extra few minutes it takes us to get there.

My husband took our American Bulldog here for an ear infection. He walked out with over a $300 bill. They charged an extra $50 because it took 2 people to hold him. The second person holding our dog, was my husband. The other tech we found out we paid for afterwards, sat there and talked to my dog like a baby, no hands on. The Dr also muzzled my gentle giant even though vet tech questioned it. They sent my dog home on a$100 anti-inflammatory medication for an ear infection. Being vets, they should know American Bulldogs have the highest pain tolerance and that after cleaning his ear and starting antibiotic ear drops that was enough without adding drugs. There are also other cost effective medications out there that would've done the same thing had he truly needed an anti-inflammatory medication. This was our second bad experience with our bulldog. The 1st was when I asked for a topical flea and tick preventative and Dr Emily insisted he needed a systemic pill that protects him for 3 months. I resisted because I wasn't comfortable giving our family member a poison. Turns out I was right, tons of lawsuits against manufacturer of said "rat poison" and our dog had severe diarrhea for a week afterwards. Our other dog, a mixed breed was a little overweight. Instead of calculating how much food he should be eating, cutting back on feeds and encouraging more exercise, they insisted I needed to place him on a vet only, medicated dog food. Didn't buy it, did what should've been suggested and dog is now down 5 pounds. They should be ashamed of price gouging and highly recommending expensive, unnecessary treatments. Read up on who you take your furry friends to and avoid this vet at all costs. You should all be ashamed of the way you practice veterinary medicine. Your trying to make a dollar instead of doing what's really right for the animals you service.
