Newly remodeled 2-3 weeks ago, better layout, always have better quality of store brands (versus Dollar General), seems like much more space in the store, they have $1 decent items in large bins located near the entrance in middle of the main walkway (similar to what Walfart does), clean & more streamlined than before complete with the great new store smells. As usual, great, helpful & friendly staff. The long overdo makeover us very, very welcome!!

This place is fine. The prices are decent but some of their food and drinks are not good. I opened an ice sparking bottle and there was no fizz and I opened it right up with not much effort.

The lady working was very nice and helped me find what I was looking for. The place had so much in the aisles so hard to walk around and it smelled weird.

The managers are super rude. I have been recording the dates and times for a year now everytime a manager makes a rude comment for having to do their job it sucks. Its embarrassing and I've seen them do it to customers besides me who are trying to return or needs something taken off. All I ask is basic customer service. BASIC, I hate getting hard working people in trouble but I'm reporting them to corporate. I've had enough of being shamed by these women. Ive had a rough year and I don't need my local family dollar employees (especially the managers) being rude.Stopped shopping here about a year ago. Management is awful the two older blonde women are horrific. They are rude, judgemental, depressing people. And they alone make the store miserable. Plus has anyone notice how quickly they go through employees? Obviously something is wrong here.

I have never met a more rude manager!! I am shocked that you would let someone like this represent your company. I always greet her when I go in the store, it’s never the other way around. The other day I got a toy out of a sale bin in the parking lot. There were About eight bins that all said 50% off already reduced price. This toy had two red reduced stickers that both said $5. That would’ve made this toy $2.50. I had to wait on her at the cash register and then she charged me $10 for the item. When I told her it was outside in the clearance she said that must’ve been a mistake. She argued with me and even went as low as to say maybe somebody got a hold of our price gun. Needless to say I did not buy the item and I will never go back. Shame on her. She has no customer service skills at all!!! A simple smile, greeting, and remember the customer comes first!!

I am generally a big fan of Family Dollar. We visited the #03442 store at 10305 133rd Street in Cedar Lake, IN. today. I was annoyed and disappointed with an employee named Pandora. I had to wait several minutes to ask her about an item, while she went yammering on to another customer she was cashing out. Two other people were also in line waiting. Then, as we were checking out, her foul language was unprofessional and offensive. I don't care where you work, you need to be professional.

Great store products and prices wise. Staff is absolutely terrible. Nancy the old blondish gray woman was extremely rude. She has terrible experience with customers, she also rolled her eyes at me when I was checking out.

Too cramped inside store. I could barely get around with a cart. First three carts I tried were in disrepair for holding a child. They were also out of helium which is why I went there in the first place. Disappointed. The lady working was very helpful and friendly, however.

The older women /management suck. They are rude, ignorant women a bad day is one thing but every single time... so I decided to follow a few other people who will not go to the cedar lake family dollar anymore. It's not worth it too be treated like that.

I visited on the day of their grand opening. Store was bright and newly renovatedm pleasure to shop. The employees were genuinly friendly and knowledgable about atores layout and stock. Gonna be a habit!

Second time at this location that I was going to buy several items, but no cashier!! Waited a long time, while shopping saw 3 employees working, was not aloud to use restroom, and was totally ignored!! Lost my business forever!!!
