Just went into to look at the puppies cuz I love puppies and they’re adorable. The 2 staff members working seemed nice. Both asked if we needed help but then kind of ignored us when we said we were just there to browse which I guess is understandable since we weren’t really going to buy anything.The puppies were definitely cute. Cages seemed clean And they had fresh food and water given to them. Each pup looked like it was recently bathed and they all appeared to be happy. My only complain is the prices. Not that we were there to actually buy a puppy, but if we were I think we’d have looked elsewhere due to the price being so high. Like basically double what you can get a puppy for from a different breeder.But it was nice to just go look at them.

My family purchased a puppy from Petland Carmel 2 months ago. We have spent every week at the vet since we purchased him from the Carmel store. The store told us our puppy was health certified only to find out he has an URI infection which has not resolved despite 5 courses of antibiotics and now a congenital heart defect that they refuse to acknowledge under their contract. This entire process has opened our eyes to deceptive practices of this company. They do not honor their contract. Be warned. We paid greater than $4000 for a puppy that has been acutely and now will have a chronic congenial heart defect requiring ongoing echocardiograms that cost over $1000. They will not disclose their breeders information and they baited and switched us by selling us an ill dog that continues to be sick. I regret purchasing from the Petland Carmel store. Their warranty solutions will not help you. So our experience was we trusted a store that sold us a sick dog and refuse to do anything to make it right. I hoped to resolve our claim amicably but they have demonstrated nothing but refusal to accept that they are culpable for selling us a very sick puppy and then refused to honor our contract.

I came into your store on September 2, 2023 and ended up buying a morkie puppy for $5,000. While I was there and signing all of the paperwork, I was told that these puppies are vet checked when they are at the "breeder" and when they come to your store (this is also said on your website)...there is NO WAY that is true!!!! I have had to spend over $600 at vet specialists because he has an eye condition that he has had since birth!! One of the specialists even told me that the eye would have to be removed because it is likely causing him pain! He is totally blind in that eye and has low vision in the other eye!! If you all have vets come and check the puppies, then the vet should have marked the records stating the dog had a condition since birth, but the records I received said his eyes were perfect.....LIE!!!!!! I have also had to shell out money for eye drops that he has to have twice a day. Not to mention that you said he was up to date on shots and when I took him to the vet, they said he was not, so then I had to pay more money to get the shots he needed!!I urge anyone reading the reviews for Petland Carmel/Westfield to NOT go there and get an animal from them!

DO NOT BUY ANIMALS OR SHOP HERE. extremely unethical sources of puppies. they get their puppies from puppy mills. awful. PLEASE do research on puppy mills & stores like this. not to mention, they have WAY too many animals per cage. overcrowded and unethical. please do research before buying a puppy. buy from ethical breeders or shelters. these puppies cost $1000-$5000. RIDICULOUS. supporting this business supports animal abuse.

Going into the store was cool, found the dog I was looking for. They do not except cash app for your banking to get approved for a loan. I've had the same cashapp account for 3 years and it's how I get paid. All my documents and statements are on that account. Even had a bank account and routing number too. The loan department needs to realize not everybody goes thru a bank or credit union. I will honestly never go back there even if the dog was given to me.

My family & I came in Sunday evening to purchase some fish. Once we all had decided what we wanted to purchase, I went to hunt down an employee to help us. I found 5 people gaggled at the back desk. I walked up and stood at the counter. 2 females turned & looked at me then looked away without saying a word. I stated I was looking for someone to help me get some fish. Ethan turned around & said he could do that for me. I appreciated Ethan being the first & only person of the 5 to step up & help me. He was very informative, professional, & kind. I did not appreciate the lack of customer service from the other 4 people in the gaggle slacking off enjoying not doing the job I'm assuming they are being paid for. Thank you Ethan!!

We just recently bought a puppy from here and we drove 2 hours from home and they were acting really nice and stuff and talking about how good the dog is and she was up to date on her shots she has no worms nothing. So we bought the dog because it is so cute but now 3 days later and we went to the vet and she said the puppy hasn't gotten 3 shots. One of these is a disease from her pee and poop and we could've gotten really sick and died. They lied to us they were luring us just to buy a dog for $3300. Waste of money do not waste your time and money they might seem nice they are straight from the devil do not come her go buy a dog for $5000 from a random person on Facebook or something do NOT COME HERE.

I got a large breed dog from petland in Carmel and they tell you that you get a free neuter but it has to happen at six months or younger. Which makes no sense because it’s not recommended for a large breed dog to get neutered before six months of age.

I do not recommend shopping here. They sold me hip and joint supplements that were nearly a year past their expiration date, and when I went back to the store to return the item I discovered that most of the products on the shelf were actually expired in 2022. It is May of 2023 as I am writing this. Selling out of date turtle food, dog supplements, and other ingestible items is highly concerning and the employee was frankly rude when I pointed out the expired items. I’m quite sure that they won’t be taken off the shelf, so, buyers beware, check your dates before purchasing!! Not to mention how awful the practices around keeping puppies here are. 0-10, I wouldn’t recommend this store to anybody. Specks and Pet Supplies Plus are more reliable.

My family went in to adopt a puppy. The first thing we noticed is how clean and maintained the store was. We went to talk to someone about adopting the puppy. The girl we spoke to was very kind and very helpful. They have very nice customer service and make sure all your questions are answered. You can tell the animals in their care are all well loved and well taken care of. We spoke to Hailey and she deserves an award for her impeccable customer service. She is sweet and welcoming. She makes you feel like there are no stupid questions and always finds ways to help. We had an AMAZING experience at PetLand Carmel. We will be customers for life.

I don’t care what any 1 star rating there is because we had the best experience. Trust me I read all the reviews them all! We decided to come in and look for a puppy we did send an inquiry about a dog and within an hour they reached out! Haley and all her girls where amazing. The cages were clean and animals looked happy! Our puppy is doing great. With all puppy’s comes pros and cons witch means they can get sick and things can be wrong. But they see vets every weeks and are kept up on shots! I just wanted to thank you all so much for blessing us with our puppy!

Me and my boyfriend bought a puppy from here, we live 3 hours away. The employee who works there named NICO who sold us the puppy told us to keep the warranty on the dog we would be able to transfer the vet closer to us, the vet they have the contract with is down the road from pet land. He was talking us up the whole time we were there being nice, talkative. Only to find out he lied straight to our faces when we called the place of warranty to transfer our vet. There is no way for a transfer. He told us people transfer all the time and that it wouldn’t be a problem. When i was signing the contract he was “summing” everything up rushing me to sign basically. So now we bought a $4,200 dog who’s warranty we won’t be able to keep because driving 3 hours every month to go to the vet is just not reasonable. Also when we called to get a quote on the puppy we wanted they said they couldn’t say a exact price over the phone but he was around $2,000 and once we got there the price doubled! Don’t waste your time or money here. They don’t care about being honest to customers. They will say anything to get a sale.

Yesterday we went to pet land for an appointment so that we could see a little dachshund. He was perfect! Not to mention the store looked spotless. They cleaned the room after we sat with the puppy, they were on top of cleaning after customers were coming in and out. Nico was very happy and helpful. We had to sit on the phone with our bank and he was very understanding. He gave us ALL the information on this pup and walked us through every step of the way making sure we knew and understood what was going on. We had the most wonderful experience getting our new puppy from the Carmel Petland.

After hearing a positive experience from a friend and seeing that the puppy I desired was available, I scheduled an appointment for a visit. Upon arriving, we were greeted with warm smiles and positive attitudes. An area was cleaned and sanitized for us to visit with the pup. We were given enough time to make a decision. The program was thoroughly explained to us page by page. We were probed on any questions we may have had. After deciding to purchase, recommendations were made for our specific pet and we had the option to purchase. No Pressure. Every product we decided on has helped very well with training. Since we were traveling out of town for fall break the next day, we asked if they could board her while we were gone, and they happily agreed. This experience was phenomenal.

I would give Petland zero stars but that is not an option. Their warranty program is a complete scam. Our family bought a very pricey French Bulldog several months ago. The dog is very sweet but was unresponsive to any voice recognition. She was taken to our vet, who confirmed she is deaf. We were told we had to buy all their vitamin supplements for the warranty to hold on our pet, when we purchased her. We complied and bought all the items we were told we must have. After finding out she was deaf, we called Petland, who did not stand behind their guarantee and referred us to the warranty company. We called the warranty company several time and sat on hold 4 different times for over an hour. When they did answer, The warranty person was clearly at home with her children and had very little if no interest in ratifying the situation of selling us a very expensive deaf puppy. We have since called the warranty company and the line has been disconnected. We love the pup but feel we severely over paid. We were given zero reduction for a dog that can not be trained properly and her disabilities have ended up costing us far beyond what a healthy pup would have cost.Buyer BEWARE.Update. New management did make this transaction right by refunding our money. Thank you.

Bought a puppy from here in 2021. Walking into the store the staff seemed nice but they were definitely pushing sales. They were getting everyone to sign up for petland credit cards because who can really afford a 4,000-5,000 puppy after 2020. I will say the store was clean and they were cleaning cages often when puppies were using the restroom. The staff was helpful and helped us pick out everything we needed for our new puppy.First when we got our dog home he was a little lethargic. Didn’t think much of it until we started vomiting and having bloody diarrhea. We took him to the vet that they have a plan with (they’re an awesome vet) and he had a parasite. After a few vet visits that was cleared up and we were happy our puppy was healthy and had energy. We love our dog so much and he is amazing and sweet.Fast forward to end of 2021 and my puppy under the age one one starts limping. Thought maybe he hurt himself and waited to see if it got better. We hit age one in February 2022 and after many vet visits and x rays we found out our dog has elbow dysplasia along with early signs of arthritis in both front legs.My young medium sized dog walks like an older dog. They said it’s bad genetics. We’re now taking surgery and physical therapy and pain management. Not something I wanted for my young dog. I know this can happen with any dog you get but after spending thousands of dollars on a dog you would think it wouldn’t have these issues at such a young age.So the review is here to tell you to be careful. Adopt and don’t shop if possible or just make sure you ask a ton of questions before buying. The money they’re asking for these dogs is insane. I don’t blame the location for the issues but more petland as a whole. It’s obvious these dogs are puppy mill puppies.

Had a great customer experience at Petland in Carmel/Westfield! I was greeted as soon as I walked in and the associates were very helpful! I have able to talk with many of them about all that their store has to offer. Employees were very kind, knowledgeable, and welcoming to both me and the 5 year old I brought it. Specifically the manager Des and kennel manager Logan were fantastic! Can’t say enough good things about this store! Highly recommend stopping in!
