This store is subpar at best! They have a decent selection, but the prices are high, so make sure to price match. The biggest problem was that the staff included management. They were unfriendly and unattentive. They all were clearly more interested in hangout and playing on their phones than they were with helping any of the customers. Customer service gets a ZERO!!! when you walk up to the counter that has 4 employees behind it to get help, and none of them look at you or even ask it they can help with anything, its a reflection of poor management and training.

It's got a good selection of food, toys, essentials, etc, and prices are competitive. The live animals for sale were limited in stock and unfortunately some of their care was a bit depressing. Most of the reptile and all but one of the small mammal cages were empty, and there were only 2-3 feeder fish left in the really large tanks. One of the two bird cages was empty, the other contained one cockatiel, but the cage was probably the bare minimum size (about 2x2x2' ish) and so cluttered that the bird couldn't turn without bumping its tail or wings. It seemed alert, interactive, and energetic, and otherwise in good health. To be clear, the animals that they did have (excluding fish) seemed reasonably clean and healthy and weren't excessively overcrowded, even if their space was somewhat limited. By far not the worst commercial pet store with live animals I've seen.[TW: dead animals]At least five of the fish tanks had dead fish bodies stuck on the filters. They were probably somewhat recently dead (most missing eyes, but they weren't rotting or skeletal) and I know it's hard to keep up with live fish habitats on a large scale, but please check the lower bank of tanks more often. The filters in the back of the lower tanks aren't visible to adults unless they lean down, but all of them had obviously dead fish and it's exactly eye level for young children.So in summary: it's fine for supplies/food, it has a good selection of accessories. The staff was courteous and offered assistance freely, and to be fair, the employee I approached about the dead fish was friendly and went to rectify it immediately. Apart from the fish, the animals seemed to be in reasonable health, the enclosures were small but reasonably clean and every small mammal and reptile cage had appropriate shelter and at least one toy/enrichment item. They kept the gerbil pair together in one cage, and they seemed content snuggled up with each other. Besides the poor fish, the only other disappointment was the small selection of anything other than fish, almost no mammals (no rabbits, hamsters, Guinea pigs, rats, etc, just 2 gerbils and some ferrets) or reptiles (no snakes or turtles, just a few geckos).

When the store initially opened up, it was awesome! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the animals for sale appeared healthy and their cases clean.This has steadily declined. 2 of the pictures attached are a snake I bought for the sake of rescuing it from that store. It had stuck shed and eye caps, wouldn't use it's hide (sign of stress), was underweight and not eating. I asked to speak with the manager about it and instead, the manager sent the sales associate back to me saying, 'I'll take 25% off if you want to buy it.'The first photo attached is a snake there now. I thought the poor thing was dead. It has stuck shed & eyecaps, dehydrated, under fed and underweight. Snakes are not difficult to care for, this is unacceptable.

Lots of hungry animals here! Love the dog bath and their 5 bath card. We try to buy our pet food here . 4 stars because my NutriSource has been rarely available. Have driven to Brownsburg to get it. Employees are friendly. Dog bath a lifesaver. Variety is great. Price match and coupons I love. Glad we have this store. Collars, leashes ,toys,treats, bird and fish along with a few rodents and reptiles.

I’ve always thought this store was a good choice for me since it’s here in town and I love to support local. Lately though when I come in the evening the staff has been unfriendly. I just shopped here and the young lady was the worst. Wouldn’t speak when I spoke to her, didn’t look at me and didn’t even hand me my bag. I had to pull it out myself. Not sure if I’ll return.

It's nice to have a new pet store with dog baths low to the ground. Went yesterday for dog food lower price than Chewy and the other pet stores in town. Helpful and friendly.

I came to ask the vet clinic that sets up here some questions and while I was there I saw they had a big board set up labled 'Trouble Board' with their employee names and misdeeds! Maybe I'm just old-fashioned, but I always believed you praised in public and chastised in private, not air it out for all to see! I understand that it is in the back so to speak, but it stuck me as very unprofessional and disrespectful to the workers. I might go back for the clinic but I doubt I'll ever support their store directly. I dont know if the trouble board is corporate policy or some manager on a power trip, but they out to be ashamed of themselves. I'd never let my child work somewhere that treated them like this.

I’m very disappointed in this store. The reptiles and their tanks are not kept in good conditions. For example, the water bowls are always dirty, the snakes don’t get any help to shed, the wrong animals are misted, and the lamps aren’t being used for the correct animals. When approached about this, the management denies all accusations and comes across as hostile. The customer service definitely isn’t anything to brag about. Will not be coming back to this location.

(Update: I am amending my rating to 5 stars for the very kind response to my initial review, as well as my continued great experiences with the store. I have also come to understand that the larger cat food cans I discussed are very hard to come by for pretty much all pet stores around the country these days. In fact, it’s even hard to find such cans available for ordering online at a reasonable price! So I fully admit that it was completely unfair of this crazy cat lady to knock them for that, lol.)As a pet mommy to 3 dogs and 4 cats (often more like 5 dogs and 5 cats, if you include animals I’ve fostered lately), I have to say I prefer the old pet store that was here before (Pet Valu).1st reason: Pet Valu had several choices for large canned food (12.5 ounces), especially for cats! It’s neither cost-effective nor environment-friendly AT ALL for cat ladies like me to have to buy hundreds of tiny little cans when mine go through 4 to 5 of them a day (as opposed to 1 large can split among them). This new store only has ONE option for large cans of cat food, and all of my cats hate that particular brand (it’s Wellness Complete, which is supposedly a brand of midrange quality, but it has made a couple of my cats throw up several times).2nd reason: Pet Valu’s rewards system was significantly better-designed for high spenders like me. With the crazy amounts of money I was spending on the high quality dog and cat food every month, it was a huge relief to earn their case discounts on cans and free bags of dry food after spending a certain amount. Pet Supplies Plus’ rewards program is decent and easy to use (and much more reasonable and simple than the rewards program by Speck’s just down the road). However, it just doesn’t work out quite as well for me.Otherwise, I have no complaints and think Pet Supplies Plus is currently the best option in Brownsburg. The staff is excellent - very friendly and on top of their game. The store is fantastically clean and well-organized. But unless this store starts stocking more high quality brands of larger cans of cat food, I have no choice but to drive out to one of the larger chains for my pet supplies. However, I’ll be sure to keep checking back from time to time and would more than be happy to amend my review to 5 stars if they if they ever start carrying more 10 oz or larger cans. Pet Valu had around 25 different flavors of their proprietary brand (Performatrin) in 12.5 oz cans, which was amazing and well-loved by all my cats. I understand that the new store is not able to sell that specific brand, but Pet Valu also used to carry brands like Blue Buffalo, Nulo, and others in this can size.

Took dog to Pet Supplies Plus in Brownsburg Indiana and very happy to report that the washing area and tubs were very clean and almost enough aprons for patrons. Water took awhile to get warm but one it did it was great and my dog is once again white and smells great.

My youngest likes to come here at least once a week to see what's new. The staff is so friendly. They all gravitate towards my little boy and he asks them all kinds of questions. The place is very clean. We will be lifetime shoppers!

This is a great store with friendly and helpful employees. The in store dog wash is a great plus. They have a good selection of dog food and they have doggie cookies (made specifically for dogs). All our dogs love going, even if they don't enjoy the bath 😂.
