This shelter is impossible to work with. For context, I have donated to this shelter (food, carriers, even a cat tower) and overall have been very supportive. I live in a county that does not have a shelter, but live not even 20 minutes away from them. They absolutely REFUSE to help anyone who has found an animal not in their county, but they have no reservations about selling to our county and many others. The receptionist is super condescending and has no compassion for people who need help finding a home for a pet they cannot keep. I own 10 cats, the cat distribution system is overwhelming me. I know how to introduce and care for the animal. At this point I may take in more cats than this shelter, but I haven’t received any support from them. The most help they have offered me is telling me to call other shelters that say the same exact thing, so once again, no help!

We did the vaccine clinic on 10/15 and it went so smoothly! They had a good system and did a great job. They have helped me before with other things and they always go above & beyond! Highly recommend 🤗

Just adopted two beautiful kittens. The staff are so sweet and helpful and knowledgeable. The building is very clean! The kitties are all named and well loved and taken care of.

Eva helped me get my cat back from the terrible Terri at the dog shelter in Brookville. Terri had kept my cat because I had transportation issues. Thank you, Eva!

They do so much for Franklin County and for abandoned and discarded animals. Funds just don't go far enough, but they do the best they can. They get no help from the National Humane Society. They are funded by donations and sometimes grants they get. Would ask every animal lover to give their time or donations to this worthy cause.

Completely rude woman on the phone, I called to try a place a dog that is aggressive and no where does it say on the website they are cat only, even has a picture with a dog and cat AND their phone number.
