Woodie's is a town staple in Bremen. The front of the store features a small deli that features a number of delicious, fresh-cooked foods, including their signature Alaskan Pollock fish, fried and seasoned to perfection. People come from around Michiana to enjoy the Pollock so there is sometimes a 5-10 minute wait as the next batch is cooked fresh.The deli also features a very small dining area, of only about three tables. Most customers get their food to-go, and will either take it home, or even eat it in the parking lot.The potato wedges are excellent and cooked until the outer breading has the slightest crunch, still leaving the inner potato moist and soft. While I have not tried it myself, I have also heard their fried chicken is very good as well.The supermarket area of the store is also well kept and clean, featuring all the typical foods and snacks you hope to find in a small, locally owned grocery store. Prices are fair and competitive as well.

Great local grocery store that has been in Bremen for years. I stop here often when visiting Bremen. Either to grab groceries when camping or lunch when traveling through for work. Their deli has fried fish, chicken strips and rotisserie chicken that are all very good lunch choices. The staff is friendly and good hometown feel.

I love Woodies (giggle) The quality of their meats and produce are superb, Especially their Bremen raised beef, I look for it every time I go. Prices are a little high, Costco Woodies is not, but the store is always clean, staff always helpful and polite. Products are faced and rotated diligently. They have a butcher in house that you can see where he/she works their magic so you know it's clean and sanitary. Lastly, before this becomes a book, they have a surprising diversity of products that you won't find just anywhere . The only person I wouldn't recommend Woodies to is if I had a mortal enemy soo loathsome to my soul I couldn't bear them enjoying this store. OMG I almost forgot they have a amazing deli that makes fried chicken Soo good I can't decide if it or KFC original recipe is my personal favorite. Soo, in summation, yah, I like Woodies (tehehe)

Great deli and produce. The employees are always friendly and helpful.The fried foods as of late have had an "old grease" taste. It has been months since we've enjoyed the fried chicken or fish. We do not purchase it like we used to and we don't pick it up weekly for elderly friends of ours anymore for that reason.

Everyone who works here is so friendly. Shelves are always stocked. Finding someone for help is no problem at all. For a small town grocery store they do an amazing job at keeping it clean and stocked.

Surprisingly good selection for a small town grocery store. And the pumpkin spice cinnamon rolls were a hit with the whole family! They do have cold medicine as well! And I think it's sweet that the baggers offer to take your cart to your car for you.

The prices are a little more & they don't carry tons of choices on alot of products but I would shop there before any other place the store is very Clean! Organized well mapped out with an Amazing staff that are respectful helpful & courteous!!

Reasonable prices and well-stocked and managed. Excellent fried chicken and fish in the deli, and the BEST Clip Danish on the planet. Really wish the produce was better quality, because I love everything else about this landmark store.

I deem this place suitable to satisfy any need I have. This place satiated my hunger and thirst with the deli in the far left corner of the store. Very local, some of my fellow companions earn money here. Prices are reasonable for a shop situated in a small town.

It's the only grocery store in Bremen, but it is stocked with the every day staples you may need. It's a basic local joint, so don't think you will find any specialty items, but it's a great neighborhood grocery and serves a valuable purpose in the area.

This used to be one of my favorite places to get meat, now they don't sell ground chuck and if you do happen to see it the price is outrageous. I do like this store for finding items the bigger chains don't sell. They have a wonderful deli, but their produce has went up in price and lower on quality. This is such a big disappointment as I used to drive out of my way to shop here.

Got a great deal on some item for a fundraiser, just had to ask. They have always treated me well. A little old fashioned store but there is no better meat and potatoes deals around for a very good product!

A small hometown clean store, friendly staff, kept well stocked. They even take your groceries out of the store and place them in your vehicle for you. You also get to choose plastic or paper bags for your groceries to be put in!

For a small town grocery store, they keep up with prices pretty well. Good store, they have just about anything anyone might need. They have a decent ethnic food section too. I just found that they had tahini! Pretty excited about that.

Friendly, helpful staff, in a friendly community. Unlike Walmart, they were very attentive to the checkout lines, and added cashiers quickly if the lanes started to back up.
