These people are absolutely wonderful. I took my old dog in for surgery. They explained everything in detail before and after. I was so worried before I talked with them and then I was completely at ease. I knew he was in good hands. Everything went great. Dr Shepherd is excellent! And the whole staff is wonderful. I wanted to take a second to recognize the receptionist Megan, nurse Kloe, and Dr Shepard. We had to put our dog down yesterday and although it was a heartbreaking experience these 3 people provided us with a truly wonderful experience of compassion and understanding.Not only that but the building itself was very nice and clean, the room they put us in was comfortable for not only us. but more importantly our dog. They all spent time loving on him and I don't think we could have had picked a better office to do it at.While we don't plan on adopting another pet in the near future, if we do we will use Four Loving Paws. I recommend them to anyone who is looking for a vet for their four legged family member!Side note, although the care of our pet trumps money, for those concerned about the cost I will say the whole process felt fairly priced and I have no complaints about the amount spent.

The overall experience was amazing. All staff were kind and compassionate; they listened to our concerns and offered great support and solutions! I’m horrible with names, but technicians Breck and Chloe were amazing in their service especially! They found time to squeeze us in for an emergency visit less than 24 hours after calling and handled our feisty boy with care. Dr. Shepherd was very kind; he took all of our Information and explained step by step what was happening and how he would like to move forward, treatment wise.I would definitely recommend visiting this place! They not only offered terrific care but they were also mindful of price and tried their best to keep the cost low while still providing excellent care!

the receptionist at Four Loving Paws needs to get herself some compassion and professionalism! without going into detail, we have a kitty in dire health that we need to be seen by the vet, and every time we tried to find a date that worked best because of our work schedules, anything at all, she gave us flak for it. And even after we explained that we were concerned the kitty might have to be put to sleep, she just didn’t care, and continued to give us excuses. And when we finally asked her to just ask the vet himself if there was any possible way we could get in, she said “I would, but we’re completely booked.” She then proceeded to give us the name of another vet that closes even earlier than they do, with even less flexible options. We weren’t asking for them to kick anyone from an appointment or for them to go out of their way or work later. We just wanted to know what we could do. Not everyone has 24/7 open flexibility. But no. We were told “We can’t do anything for you.” Someone get this lady some compassion, and a reality check into some of the clientele. because there is no love at 4 loving pawsEdit: defend your employees all you want. A good chunk of people in town have said the. Exact. Same. Thing. About your practice and your employees.

A friend asked me to accompany her yesterday to your facility to have her dog uthenized. I was absolutely impressed with your caring & compassionate staff. The room playing soft music which helped keep them both calm & to the Dr, you were absolutely amazing to both of them. You all definitely made an unpleasant situation much more tolerable for both of them. Thank you for all that you do!!

We brought our puppy in for an emergency. The staff was simply amazing, especially with the situation at hand. We had a verrrry sick puppy, and they helped us make the best educated decision with zero guilt or shame in whatever we decided to do. After moving from Florida, I have been very particular with my vet as our animals are our children. This vet has most certainly has shown compassion and so much care. I recently brought one of my dogs in as she was lifeless in my arms and 3 woman helped me with no questions asked and showed me such compassion as my husband and I were completely heartbroken. This will most certainly be the vet I will always bring my animals to.

Ask for Chloe. She runs hunting dogs, so she has experience with more than just house pets. Talked about my dogs and offered what was applicable to my dogs and their lifestyle.She will take care of you!

I am always satisfied with the level of care my animals receive on our visits. The doctors and staff are friendly and make sure I understand everything that is going on with my animals and discuss all options and costs up front. All of my dogs have different personalities and needs and are treated as individuals. There is no "standard" exam here! I have never regretted the decision to make Four Loving Paws the place I go for the care of my furry family members. I have even taken fosters and other family member's animals to them because I wanted to be confident they were getting the best treatment. Thank you Four Loving Paws!

I have taken two dogs to Four Loving Paws & have had an awesome assistance both times. One was an emergency admit when my boxer was having a heart attack, although he did not survive the staff & Dr. Shepard himself never stopped trying to save him. They are wonderful people who care more about the animal than the cost! Could not ask for better caring & devoted staff for my fur babies!! I highly recommend their services & will be a regular customer from here on out!!

We had our first visit today and all of the staff I came in to contact with was very nice and understanding. I have a big boy who is hyper around new people and places and they were very accommodating. I see a few reviews about them being "all about the money" the vet tech went through everything they would like to do today and when I asked about cost she without hesitation told me what the total for everything would be. She then explained we could stretch vaccines out to make it cheaper. I untimately decided to do it all so as not to have to do multiple visits (for my own sanity) there was no pressure or feeling forced to have the things done today. The place was clean and smelled good which is always a plus.

We recently put our Golden Retriever to sleep. He was almost 14. Dr. Schenck had already diagnosed Colin about two months prior. A couple weeks after that, she returned a call to my husband to discuss the condition further and answer questions that we had. Several weeks later, we made a decision to relieve Colin of his discomfort. Our appointment was at 3:15 and they were on time. Nothing happened until about an hour later though because Dr. Schenck and Kim took time to answer all our questions. Dr. Schenck came out and sat down on the sidewalk with us so we could be comfortable before anything happened. She even discussed how to handle it with our other dog when we got home (to bury Colin). I couldn't have gone through with it had it been approached as business. They were truly empathetic.As for comments regarding the issue of cost, we have been going to Four Loving Paws for several years. Every visit starts with a discussion as to the reason for the visit, and what it will cost. We can choose the service(s) that we want from what is advised, suggested, or offered. I appreciate knowing in advance and getting that taken care of in the beginning. Better to be informed and the decision maker of how far you want to go, rather than something being taken for granted and surprised at the time of payment.I appreciate having Four Loving Paws Veterinary Services located so close. Thank you to Dr. Schenck and staff for your professionalism and care.

More about money then customer care. I took my puppy there for his first shots the staff and vet was very nice and knowledgeable. I was very impressed with the first visit the cost was about 150.00. When I made the appointment for the second round of shots I ask what the cost would be, I was told it would be $46.00 dollars by the lady who scheduled my appointment. When we went back for the second round of shots. I was charged around 140.00. I told them that was not right and they disagreed because when they made the appointment in the computer they scheduled a Dr. visit (The Dr. did come in room but my puppy didn't need him to and I didn't ask for it). They also made a mistake and gave my puppy a shot that he didn't need and charged me for it. When they told the Dr. I was upset about these charges he said it is better to be over vaccinated then under vaccinated and would not refund that charge for that reason (again that was there mistake why should I pay for it)? They should have tried to make it right.

Just amazing!! The best vet experience in my life. The staff was friendly and helpful. Dr. John was quick to solve problems and he was well versed in current knowledge and studies in the pet medical field. Truly impressed. Even through we have moved over an hours drive away we still go here! Definitely NOT a sales pitch vet, truly there to support the animals highest and best.

The office required a "follow-up", and then charged another office visit.Reponse: 1. It isn't customary when the office requires a follow up to be charged. 2. I did mention my displeasure with the fee, but I was told "not my policy, sorry." So, I took to a public form, since it doesn't seem to be anyone's problem.I also love how you all are free to share our records on a public form. Yes, a phone call was made, but only confirming our appointment. The staff member did not mention an additional fee, otherwise the appointment would have been canceled.I was not rude to your staff member. I simply expressed my displeasure with the fee. The doctor only tallked to me about my pet's paticulars. No fee was discussed.Don't worry, we won't be returning.

I went to this facility for a year. I would get a flee pill with heartworm treatment every 3 months to help me save money. All of a sudden they said because I wasn't getting it every month, my dog had to go through all of the tests before getting another prescription. they said her risk of getting heart worms was high . Why didn't they figure this out and tell me a year ago when I started the pill? So I ask what my charges will be for all the tests they require, over $500.00 . Wow, for their error, I said no . Left the place. I really liked the facility, and the doctor . But someone there really dropped the ball on initially educating me and allowing my dog at risk for a year .

I called to make an appointment for my cat, and the staff said that I would need $1000.00 dollars up front, and that if I couldn't pay then I need to consider surrendering my cat to the humane society. Both my husband and I been coming here since 2017, and we both feel that the staff was very unprofessional, they showed us no empathy, and for this is why we will never bring our beloved pets here again.

First of all my dog didn't have dental issues, she had stomach cancer. You took her teeth out and it had NOTHING to do with that!!! Second my cat I had to Euthanize and the other cat got out and we found her at your office. I agree I'm UNGRATEFUL because of bad advice. Get the facts right before writing anything!!!

They told me they were unable to drain my dog's ear hematomas. From what I have read and heard this should be a very simple, basic procedure. Unsure of why this veterinarian clinic could not help my dog.

Well I have been taking my cat"Bubba there almost as long as they have been open .I would NEVER take him anywhere else.Bubbais about 22yrs.old and is doing great because of this clinic.Although I do miss Dr Sheppard,since he has been on leave with active duty since Covid-19,I have learned to trust his other Dr in the office and find her just as great as him,lol. Tv I find their charges for what they do very reasonable.You know ,they are very loving and compassionate about our fur babies but they have to make a living just like the rest of us.......
